We ordered to-go this time and I have to say -- the presentation alone already won us over before we even took the first bite. Everything was packaged thoughtfully, neatly organized, and still looked restaurant-quality when we opened it at home. No soggy noodles, no messy containers -- just beautifully prepared comfort food ready to enjoy. Tonkatsu Ramen Rich, creamy broth with deep pork flavor without being overly heavy. The noodles held up perfectly during transport, and the chashu was tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Exactly what you want from a classic tonkotsu. Spicy Miso Ramen My personal favorite of the night. The broth had the perfect balance of heat and umami -- spicy enough to warm you up but still incredibly savory. Loved the depth of flavor and how satisfying every spoonful was. Salmon Lover Roll Fresh, buttery salmon that practically melts when you eat it. Generous portions and beautifully layered -- you can tell quality fish is a priority here. New Philly Roll Creamy, balanced, and super satisfying. The flavors worked perfectly together without overpowering the freshness of the fish. What really impressed us was how well everything traveled. Takeout ramen can be risky, but they packaged it perfectly so the noodles stayed springy and the broth stayed hot and flavorful. First of all the presentation??? like why are the rolls coming out looking like art pieces... perfectly drizzled, fresh salmon just melting, crunchy shrimp on the side with that sauce?? yeah they did not come to play. and can we talk about the VIBES for a second--those cute little plates, the setup, everything just feels cozy but still lowkey fancy. like you sit down and instantly feel like you made the right decision coming here. the sushi itself??? fresh, flavorful, not dry, not fishy, just straight perfection. every bite hitting. the sauces??? yeah... Came here for dinner as the family was craving for sushi on our first night in LA. The restaurant is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It was busy but we managed to get a table. We ordered the 3 roll special (Crazy, Rainbow, Salmon Lover) and Tonkostsu Ramen with Roll special (Caterpillar). Rolls were huge and delicious. Ramen was tasty. Noise level was moderate and we were able to have a conversation. Services was great, food was great, and the specials were great to try different rolls. read more

THIS IS OUR FAVORITE SUSHI SPOT IN ALL THE LAND. I can't tell you how phenomenal their service & sushi is. Every time we come here it feels like we are walking into a family establishment. All of our food comes out fresh, hot food items are always fresh off the grill and the quality is always there. SOHAN (spellcheck) ALWAYS provides my family and I with the best customer service. She is an amazing host, if it weren't for her and her great suggestions, we would not have known how tasteful the menu is. Some of our family favorites: Golden Tiger Crunch roll Jose special Yangneyom (KFC) Garlic Edamame Gyozas Stuffed Jalepeno Chicken Karaage Tonkotsu Ramen GOLDEN TIGER-This is a heavy Baked sushi roll that packs a lot of flavor. I'm a cream cheese lover and this roll has it. It's topped with spicy crab and is my most favorite roll! CRUNCH ROLL- Is overall pretty basic roll any sushi spot you go to but the way they make it here, they are not stingy with the crunch. Shrimp tempura wrapped in goodness. JOSE SPECIAL- is so refreshing. Named after one of their Itamae, it has a splash of lemon that gives it a good citrus kick! We love this roll and the person it's named after. KFC- We ALWAYS order a round of KFC every time we dine in or out. It is a must. Their take on Korean fried chicken is absolutely amazing. Fried boneless chicken with a light batter. After they fry it, it's dipped into their sauce and sprinkled with sesame. IT IS SO FRICKIN GOOD! If you love fried chicken/wings of any sort, you must try this. CHICKEN KARAAGE- Is similar to popcorn chicken. The sweet & sour sauce they provide pairs well with this fried popcorn like style chicken. TONKOTSU RAMEN- Not only Can Tomos do sushi, but they do Ramen very well too! The cream garlic broth is mmmmmMMMMM good! It comes in a very big bowl that can easily serve two. Again, we love TOMOS bc of the overall experience here. The service, the environment, but most importantly THE FOOD QUALITY is what keeps us coming back. We use Tomos as the measuring stick to other sushi places we try and Tomos always comes out NUMBER ONE! Although they are not AYCE, you can't compare their prices bc it always seems like it's happy hour prices so it feels like it's ayce anyway . They have 2 bathrooms, one for men and one for women. Public parking lot. There is a ramp on the left side for wheelchair accessibility. Tomos isn't a huge sushi restaurant so bigger numbers might be a bit difficult but it's not impossible. The decor and ambiance are really wonderful here. It's bright without being too bright, and it is much more traditional decor than a lot of places. That's a huge bonus in my book. A few awesome notes: Happy hour all day $3.99 draft Sapporo $23 for any 2 rolls $33 for any 3 rolls $8 baked mussels were filled with imitation crab in addition to the mussel itself. Added a very nice sweetness. Score. $13 tonkotsu ramen was flavorful and filling. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth had a beautiful garlicky flavor. Chashu was thick and had a good char. Very pleased. $33 for any 3 rolls is such an incredible deal. That's $11 per roll compared to $15-18 per roll. On top of that, they hook you up with fish. Such a steal. The garlic tuna roll was nice and light and balanced. The dynamite roll was baked to perfection and all the seafood was delicious. The rainbow roll was very packed with crab and that's great, but I think the crab was to make up for the very thin fish on top. Overall, will 100% be coming back here. 11/10 recommend. read more

Omg!!! Having dinner here with my daughter. The portions sizes here are incredible. I ordered the seafood ramen and roll combo. I couldn't even finish it and my daughter and I shared. We also got the best baked green mussels piled on top of the crab mix. Fresh and delicious. Now here's the second best part. Put in a order through yelp last night and it was ready right away. We usually phone order but we were in a rush to get it done right away lol. We ordered the 3 roll special. Just FYI, we then realized, the $10 price difference from Grubhub and ordering it on your own. We got the golden California roll, crunchy roll and the baked salmon roll. Don't listen to the answer below. They did not change owners but as usual with Covid prices went up a little. Rolls were never part of the happy hour, only HAND Rolls and sushi. They still have a 2 roll and 3 roll special though.

It's the kind of place where you have to be proactive if you need a refill or the check. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant is a major concern. Everything felt "sticky" from the tables to the floors and the bathrooms were definitely not well-maintained. It's hard to fully enjoy a premium-priced meal when the environment feels a bit neglected. On a brighter note, the location is very convenient. Since it's tucked into a large strip mall, parking is incredibly easy and stress-free, which isn't always the case in Chino Hills. If you are a "food first" person who doesn't mind a bit of grit and slow service, the ramen is worth a try, but the management could definitely step up the cleaning

I had to step over 3 crumpled up napkins and food residue to be sat at a table that had spilled water and soy sauce on it. Rather than apologize and seat us at the next table, she moved on to the next guests, so we took it upon ourselves to move tables because that is just disgusting and poor sanitary conditions. Then it was about 10 minutes later that she came back with waters which we appreciated. She did not let us know she would be back to take our order, instead she went to the next table and handed them their waters and offered to take their order. I went to use the restroom closest to the tables and let me say it was appalling. Trash overflowing, paper towels on the floor, the paper towel holder falling off the wall. Just Gross. After coming back I asked my spouse if she came around yet and he said no. We felt ignored, dismissed, and not cared about as customers. So we left. And we will not be returning. Really disappointed in the staff and this experience as we have been here before and have never experienced this with other staff members/the males working. The Gen Z staff need to be appropriately trained on communication, manners, and etiquette when guests arrive. You don't ignore people, you greets them and acknowledge them. Had we been acknowledged or communicated with we would completely understand. Would not recommend.

All of our food came with a veggie plate and I will admit some of the lettuce/cabbage leaves weren't the cleanest or crispest so we didn't eat as much of the veggies as we'd like... We also ordered nigiri sushi on the side, which is just okay. Usually we wouldn't get something like that unless it came with the meal like an AYCE. Decent quality salmon, lots of rice and extra arbs on top of your meal though. Overall, it's okay.

I'm not a sushi person, so sushi has never been my first option for eating out. But it's Christmas, most of restaurants closed.. then we found this restaurant, walked in reluctantly... and now I'm writing this review as I found a hidden gem!! There r so many sushi roll options, so it wasn't hard for me to find rolls which don't have raw fish on. We ordered some tempura rolls and baked rolls, they were so good and presentation was nice. I wish I took a picture before we started eating. It looked so delicious when it's served, I forgot to take a picture;-( I love their spicy mayo, so I even googled how to make spicy mayo when I got home. My friend ordered sushi, and he said he would definitely come back. The quality of sushi was good and the price was charming! They have all day happy hour price for rolls&sushi. I believed sushi was expensive food and it was not worth to spend that kind of money on something that I'm not crazy about. But this restaurant changed my mind. The sign outside for summer special got us have Monday dinner this restaurant. I visited this restaurant few weeks back and it was descent enough. So now ramen for 9.99, why not? We tried spicy miso ramen, the presentation was exactly like an advertisement. I don't think u can find any better ramen with this price in chino hills. It's a pleasant surprise as we didn't expect much when it's served at sushi restaurant. And we also tried tonkatsu which they liked to call "king katsu". The waitress was like it's 9.99 on Mondays, so we gave it a try. The portion was huge and meat was tender. I don't think I would spend 20 dollars for pork katsu anymore in other restaurants. After 4 people having dinner, the bill came out around 60 dollars which was not bad at all. We officially love this restaurant, hope the price wouldn't go up anytime soon. read more

I have the unique perspective of not actually liking sushi. However, when I went here, I was certainly provided for. I got the Beef Yakisoba when I visited. A note for anyone ordering that item: bring a second person! It was a huge plate. And I got a free side of Miso soup, which, although I generally dislike that kind of soup (they always mess up the tofu!), I was pleased with. Beyond the food, the service was wonderful. The server was quiet and generally out of the way, but I was well waited-on. The atmosphere was really nice, too, with most fixtures being made of wood. I had such a great time at tomo7 ! The sushi was incredibly fresh, every piece was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The salmon with jalapeño was a standout, and the octopus had the perfect texture. The ramen was also fantastic, with rich broth and perfectly cooked chashu and egg. We also tried the fries topped with bulgogi, which was such a fun and delicious twist. And of course, nothing beats an ice cold Sapporo to go with it all! On top of the food, the service was amazing. We've been eating here for a while now. We came from their other location that unfortunately was rebranded to a different sushi spot. The food has never disappointed! the food always tastes fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere is a semi traditional feel with a few modern touches. Our hosts always make their way to us and make sure we're doing fine and offer refills to our drinks. Chef Jose is always friendly to us and makes us feel welcomed. We will always recommend this place to anyone who asks. The only true downside is that this place is a little small so it gets packed very quickly during dinner hours. read more

OMG!!! I usually come out of Japanese restaurant with a huge bill and little short on stomach but Hayaci has the best quality sushi with all you can eat menu. I don't like to go to all you can eat buffet, since they always have the food pre-made and serve the low quality sushi or sashimi. However, Hayaci have you order from the sushi menu for three different rounds of your choice. Isn't that awesome or what??? And they give you very small amount of rice for a huge piece of sushi. We ordered takeout after hearing great things about their K-Fried Chicken, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The sushi was fresh and delicious, but the chicken was the real surprise. As a Korean, I've tried plenty of Korean-style fried chicken in the U.S., and this was by far the closest to the kind I grew up eating in Korea. My girlfriend has her birthday party here. They have a separated table for bigger groups, which is awesome. The food was great, waitresses were friendly. We ordered some sushi and appetizers. The portion of rice was perfect, and fish on top was fresh and generous portion. The price was reasonable. 6 of us paid around 120 in total, which goes $20 per person. Fairly decent deal on unlimited sushi in the area. We heard about them sometimes forgetting about some items you have on your list, but this time they did not so I wont knock off a star for that. Rain pouring last couple of days, I've been craving for ramen soup. My colleague recommended this place for ramen. I did like their sushi, so been there a couple of times before, but never considered trying a noodle soup. I must say it was beyond my expectations. This restaurant has better food than the fancy beverly hills japanese restaurants where they charge you ridiculous amount of money for expensive decorations. Parking is free and there are always lots of parking spots in front of the restaurant. They give you free taco sushi which is actually in the menu. The patbingsoo was also amazing; instead of just regular ice, it's made with milk, so it's extra creamy and delicious. I have visited Tomo 7 about 3 times now for their all you can eat. Their selection is really good especially with no rice items because I truthfully am not a fan of too much rice. Another thing I do like is that their sushi items come in a large portion with a little amount of rice. We ordered the Yellowtail roll under the regular rolls menu so we can compare and see the difference of a regular roll versus the premium rolls. The regular roll was a bit boring. I recommend skipping the regular rolls. All the sushi tasted fresh. Waitress was friendly. This place is nice and clean. There is plenty of parking since it is part of a large shopping center. It even has ikura and uni with the assorted sashimi in the bowl. Highly recommend for the price! - Salmon kama (collar), $8.99: this is a HUGE salmon collar portion for the price, and it's absolutely delicious. Overall, Ozeki Sushi checks all the boxes: great value, fresh food, friendly service, and delicious flavors. The combination of AYCE sushi, drink specials, and standout dishes like the lemon sauce salmon makes this a spot I'll definitely be returning to.

The inside of 2 of the rolls only had imitation crab. The sushi rolls also lacked flavor; neither the sauce or the fish. Maybe could use salt? Seems like I'm not the only one who knows and they might be cutting corners? The rainbow roll had cheap cilantro just thrown on top... The service was good though but that doesn't make up for the terrible experience and bad food.

It was a good portion and taste was decent. I was able to eat it twice. It doesn't beat my favorite poke place in HB, but it was worth the try.

We asked to skip the lettuce and server asked us what extra we'd like in the vermicelli. Family friendly spot as they have a nice little changing station in the restroom as well.
