The packaging was really well done--everything was neatly organized, secure, and still looked appealing even after transport. Each bento also came with soup, which was a nice touch. I was in the area so I decided to try out this sushi spot. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance/vibe. It's a super cute restaurant that's decorated well. They have so many sushi options which I was super impressed with. I ordered the dragon roll and the spicy salmon hand roll. The food came out pretty fast and I was so happy with the presentation. The dragon roll was super fresh and flavorful which I loved the most. The spicy salmon hand roll was also fresh and ACTUALLY spicy which I loved. Overall, the food was delicious and I would definitely come back. -1 star because the women's restroom smelled like sewage and the toilet seat was dirty. I was pretty disappointed in the state of the restroom. Hopefully that gets addressed by my next visit. read more

We all had planned to go watch a movie next door and had some time before our showtime started so this place is pretty convenient. Now Kiku does offer AYCE sushi but I chose to order the bento box combo which is a good value for the cost. I do wish, however, that they had something on the menu that stood out from every other japanese AYCE restaurant. Not to say that their food wasnt good because it was very tasty and delicious. I had just been spoiled by an AYCE sushi in Vegas (see my review of 888 Japanese BBQ) where they offered Kobe beef on their menu. I came here today for the first time in forever and yes, it's changed, but the food is still on point and the service was quick and friendly just like I remembered. We did the All You Can Eat which they had plenty of options. Most places almost always ha spicy tuna as a base, but surprisingly Kiku did not. We hand their Mango Tango roll, Playboy Roll, Calamari Tempura roll, Seaweed Salad, Mango Avocado salad, Kiku Fresh roll, Tuna/Albacore and Yellowtail Nigiri, Baked Salmon Roll and a Bean Curd Roll. By the end we were basically sushi rolls ourselves we were so damn full, lol, but everything was fresh and delicious! They also offer free Vanilla, Chocolate or Green Tea ice cream after the meal, but we politely decline cause we would have burst if we took one more bite, haha. I had originally planned to order the AYCE sushi entree but I was not allowed due to the rest of my party not being into AYCE. As a consequence, I left this joint still hungry, which is something that should never happen when you leave a restaurant. I mean--the food was adequate but it wasn't anything super special that would mean there would be any more likeliness of the sushi to be shared illegally among the table. It's just hard not to feel that this practice will leave customers anything but bitter, especially because I have yet to meet a table where everyone's hunger will be exactly the same level. The space isn't bad and it seems to have a good enough and well-meaning staff. But I just can't recommend a place that has such a punitive policy in place against those specifically who have a bigger appetite than their companions. Worst experience ever tonight at Kiku sushi! My young sons took me out to dinner tonight for Father's Day due to not being able to go yesterday. As soon as we sat down a waiter tells us that we cannot get all you can eat after 9pm. In a very rude tone. I give him the benefit of the doubt and understand he may be having a bad day. I couldn't leave my house cuz of the Diarrhea... and I threw up all my liquid in my body.. yes I got the Norovirus... googled it and everything matched up, light fever, bodyache and headache, nausea, and diarrhea.. when I got better and got to talk normally on the phone, I talked with the manager and they said I need to prove them if I have Norovirus or not. And they told me to go to talk with doctor and bring the paper to their insurance company... all I needed was genuine apologize and maybe refund or something.. maybe I should have been taking pictures of my pukes and diarrhea to show them? Like the first thing I heard was, "we cant do anything for you, you need to go see the doc to prove you have that virus and you can talk with our insurance company, not with us. We havent gotten any other people complained about oyster." That was pretty disappointing... and i finally convinced him to offer me a dish and apologize. But I dont think I will come back anyway. Food is top notch, good nigiri salmon , thick slices, big rolls. I enjoyed eating here until these last two visits. Service is good too, and ambiance quiet on a weekend. Not too crowded. Here comes the issue. A weeks ago I visited for my brother's graduation, when we paid and were walking towards the door, she said, "No tip?" I said oh, walked back and added 10%. I didn't think much of it at that time. Yesterday the same thing happen, but I had already paid, was about 10 feet away from the exit, heading to my car and the lady yells at me "come back you did not leave a tip" which was extremely embarrassing, and very unprofessional. I was closer to my car, than the exit from the restaurant. I walked back with embarrassment and rounded up the total to the nearest tenth. I usually tip, the service was not very satisfactory and and the AYCE prices increased, leaving no room for tip. In my opinion tips are optional and I've never had someone force me to tip them. Turns out it wasn't just us, she goes around to every table and take a pic to every table.. i over heard the table behind us said "okay thats weird " after being photographed.. unfortunately they didn't speak up, they just let her take the photo.. Sushi chef looks like he doesn't wanna answer any of your questions, he just kinda ignores you. Food was whatever, not anything special. Basically you can find it anywhere else. Price tag is just like any sushi joint. $17-$20 a roll on an average. I looked at my old review and some other AYCE reviews and realize that one of the main problem is they drag, they don't wanna give you the food that you paid for. They tried to give you the slowest service so you can be full by eating whatever that's being serve and mostly it's not nigiri because it costs more on their end. My brother and I chose to get the all-you-can-eat for $38.99 a person. I liked that they made rolls of without heavy sauces or broiled mayonnaise. My favorites were the salmon skin roll, garlic butter salmon, cajun salmon, cajun albacore, and sesame chicken. The takoyaki was ok, with two pieces to try but I would not get it again. My brother tried more of the baked rolls with sauces. All of them were fresh and a good amount of sauces drizzled on top. The fish slices were cut not too thinly or too much rice. They did give a small cup of either green tea or strawberry ice cream for AYCE. The staff is nice. The tables have buttons to call the staff. read more

LOVE KIKU! There is never a wait time and can come in with big parties at any time. We are always satisfied with our service here and you can tell the staff cares about their customers. If its your first time at AYCE, they definitely help you out with ordering since they know people can over do it on accident. They offer free ice cream at the end of your dinner if you do AYCE, and the birthday experience is so cute! Sometimes they give you the wrong sushi rolls when you do AYCE, but we never have an issue with it since we are always open to try something new.
