    Pad see eww
    Charleston P.

Krua Thai has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. We've been coming here since we were kids, and it's honestly amazing to see how much they've elevated their quality over the years while still keeping that authentic, comforting Thai flavor that made us fall in love in the first place. Every visit feels nostalgic but also exciting because the food just keeps getting better. The pad see ew is perfectly cooked with great wok flavor, the pad Thai is balanced and satisfying, and the seafood fried rice is loaded, flavorful, and always hits the spot. And don't even get me started on the beef jerky--absolute must-order, packed with flavor and insanely addictive. It's rare to see a longtime neighborhood spot grow and improve this consistently. Krua Thai isn't just good for the memories--it's genuinely top-tier Thai food now. If you've been coming here for years or it's your first time, you won't be disappointed.

Decided to try this Thai place for the first time. Even though there was plenty of open seating, the service felt a bit unwelcoming. The calamari looked great but was very chewy we only managed one or two pieces. The salad wasn't tossed, and overall the dishes lacked flavor and presentation. I didn't finish my meal, and it didn't sit well with me although it could just be what I ordered. On the bright note, the peanut sauce was delicious and the highlight of the meal. I might consider coming back to try it with a different dish. The food wasn't terrible, but better seasoning, presentation, and simply tossing the salad would have made a big difference. Not sure I'll be back, but I'm glad I gave it a try.

the food was wonderful, as a person that's not really into pad thai because it always seemed too sweet, this one surprised me, i'm still thinking about how good it was. we went for a birthday and got to try a big chunk of the menu- enjoyed the papaya salad and pad than the most- the food was tasty and the portions were hearty- it was worth the drive

Stopped by here on our way home going all the way to Thai town in Hollywood was out of the question after a long day. At any rate, we came at a good time as not a lot of people were here but enough to say that the place gets busy. A lot of people came to pick up their orders We ordered the Crispy Pork w/ Chinese Broccoli, Tom Yum Shrimp Very Spicy level and Beef Pad See Ew. We wanted the Sautéed Morning Glory with Garlic but we were told that morning glory was out of season. I read another review from 4 months ago and they were told the same thing. Somehow I find it hard to believe because you can literally find morning glory in just about every Asian market any time of the year. Also, I've had it in another Asian restaurant every time we order it. At any rate, the food we ordered was good. The noodles have that distinct wok taste. I wish the pork belly was fresher as it seemed like it was fried the day before. The Tom yum had a good flavor but the shrimp were small so they appeared over cooked in the broth. Rating 3.5/5

It's been a while since we stopped off here. As we were in the neighborhood, popped in for a bite. Menu is still as it was from previous years but quantity has decreased quite a bit. Food doesn't take long to arrive but is always hot and fresh when brought out. Also, time seemed to have changed as they tend to close early even on a Saturday night. I remember being here after the bars but now it seemed to be closed pretty early. Food, from what we've ordered was good. The curry now is half of what they used to bring out. The soup, pipping hot when it comes out. The fried fish was great with the Thai chili sauce on the side. Pad see ew, good and flavors was great.

I cannot complain about how delicious the food is here, but there were a few things that did not go as planned. Service is quick, and the order came out relatively fast. My friends and I ordered the Tom yum chicken (we asked for medium spicy, but it was not spicy at all), chicken fried rice, pad see ew with tofu, and the chicken bbq plate. Like I said, the food was delicious and the portions were big enough to share up to 4 people. The restaurant is spacious and the lights were bright. So upon passing out the bowls for our soup, there was a little cockroach in the bowl crawling. We immediately asked the server for brand new utensils and plates. The new silverware we got had still had left over food on them. Despite the food being really delicious, the restaurant can work on their cleanliness. The restaurant has a parking lot, but it fills up really fast.

This is for take out only. So glad I tried this place! It's been on my bookmark seems like forever. Great Thai restaurant with extensive menu and reasonably priced. Placed my order while stuck in traffic and it was ready 20 minutes later. All the condiments and utensils were already included without me asking...nice! The restaurant is located on end of strip lot. Interior has a nice modern and spacious vibe. I got pad see ew with beef, fried chicken over rice and panang chicken. OMG, everything was so good and flavorful. Best pad see ew I've had in long time. Noodles and beef were cooked to perfection. Panang curry had good blend of spices. Portions were perfect for sharing. Overall really enjoyed the experience and looking forward to trying other dishes.

Pretty good Thai Spot in Noho. My sister in law had suggested going to the Krua Thai in Covina last week, and I remembered there being one in North Hollywood. It was pretty good so I got some take out from this location. Ordered the Pad Thai lunch special - came with fried rice, an egg roll and soup. Got my hubby the chicken larb. Overall the food was good - but slightly lacking in flavor. The restaurant looked clean and the staff was really nice. Overall good, will have to come back and try some more stuff!

Krua Thai has always been my refuge for the real deal--deeply authentic Thai food that doesn't pander or compromise. I've dragged friends and family here over the years, each visit turning skeptics into believers. The kind of place where the heat is real, the flavors don't hold back, and every bite reminds you why you seek out the good stuff in the first place. Sure, parking can be a nightmare during peak hours, but let's be honest--if that's a dealbreaker, you probably weren't worthy of the meal to begin with.

Stopped by on a random Thursday with my wife and honestly 10/10. We arrived around 6:30pm with plenty of open seating, but by 7:15pm the place was buzzing. The food and service were both top-notch. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken, spicy, and it was perfect. Hands down my new go-to dish every time I come back. Wife tried a couple things like the egg rolls, crab cakes, & orange chicken. Definitely returning with my wife again soon!

Great little Thai spot. Does get a little busy but plenty of seating is offered. Service is friendly. The pad see ew and the fried pork nuggets is what I always go back for. Great noddles and crispy pork. Good portion sizes as well.

    Sautéed eggplant (WITH PEANUTS)

I honestly love the food and service here. They were so quick and kind when I came to do a takeout order! I ordered shrimp toast, pad see ew, boneless roasted duck, and received a recommendation for sautéed eggplant as the morning glory I wanted was out of season. I ended the order saying NO PEANUTS ON ANYTHING because I'm severely allergic!!! A few bites into the eggplant, and my mouth is swollen and I feel nauseous. Luckily, I don't have an anaphylactic reaction, but there are others who could have died from this. Given the recent media attention towards peanut allergy deaths, I would hope more restaurants take these requests seriously. ***Update: I just got off the phone with the restaurant (not sure who I spoke with, it was a man) and he gaslighted me saying "I'm just being honest, we don't use peanuts in this dish. It's garlic maybe." Then after insisting it is obviously peanuts (since I have eyes and I'm vomiting and cramping) he said to bring the dish to the restaurant and they could make a new one or to go to the ER and bring the medical bill. When I stated a refund of the full order would suffice, he stated I would still have to come to the restaurant with the card used for a refund. I am unable to do this now because I had to take a Benadryl which is sedating. This whole issue was so unprofessionally handled and I will be going through the appropriate channels to file a formal complaint.

Kevin was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the ordering process. He took the time to guide us through the menu and even made sure we didn't over order. Thanks to his recommendations, we had the perfect amount of food for everyone, with just enough leftovers to enjoy later. The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone at our gathering loved it. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service. It's rare to find someone who genuinely wants to make sure your event is successful instead of just selling you more food. I hadn't been here in over 15 years, and it was wonderful to see that both the quality of the food and the outstanding service have remained just as great as I remembered. I recently moved back to the area, and this experience reminded me why I loved this place. We'll definitely be back soon to dine in. Thank you Kevin, for making our gathering so easy and enjoyable!

The Pad Thai was probably my favorite. It was really flavorful and saucy, which is how I like it. The Pad See Ew was also really good and I'd order that again too. The Tom Yum soup tasted good, but I definitely underestimated their spice level lol. The choices were no spice, spicy, or very spicy. I'm usually more of a mild-spice person, but since there wasn't a mild option, I went with spicy thinking it wouldn't be too bad. Nope. It was honestly one of the spiciest things I've ever eaten. I don't even want to know what their very spicy is like. If you actually enjoy spicy food, you'll probably be fine, but I really wish they had a mild option between no spice and spicy. That would probably be my only real complaint. Other than that, everything we ordered was really good and I'd come back to try more of their food.

Especially one open very late most nights! So many times after a long late work day I had no options for food, having a gluten allergy and being vegan, so now this is where I can go and expect a nearly perfect ramen every time. The no. 10 ramen (that has no broth) is my favorite. The ramen with broth is on the thicker side, and every type is good. They kinda all taste very similar to be honest. But even for people that eat meat, all the flavor is still present in the broth and ingredients. The atmosphere is also very nice and dark, with a decent amount of seats and nice background music playing, no annoying top 40 stuff. Always some nice electronic music that isn't too energetic or too sleepy. Sometimes there can be loud people but that really can't be helped in todays culture unfortunately, especially LA. I do wish they had more caffeine free drink options. Maybe some liquid death sodas, la crouix, or lemonade options would go well with the ramen or rolls! **The only other thing to keep in mind is that they tend to stop serving within a half hour of closing and sometimes they close early, might be best to order ahead or call if you intend on coming by around closing time, I was very disappointed two times because of this. ** Also, there is a shared lot and usually open spots on the street too. I recommend parking on the street as the parking lot can be a bit chaotic.
