Food was great and relatively healthy. They weren't doing hibachi the night we came and we were really hoping for that entertainment but still enjoyed the food. Service was amazing! Double check their hours before you go. Their website said they were open until 10 but there was a sign on the door that said they now close at 8:45. I ordered a shrimp hibachi with no vegetables just to get home and see I was charged extra for no vegetables and my meal didn't even come with the rice It was supposed to come with. I'm not sure who I spoke to on the phone, but there must've been a miscommunication. He repeated the order to me and it seemed correct but when I got there, I was charged $16 and didn't even get half of my meal. So this place boast of sushi and hibachi and is anything but. First i tried the salmon crunchy rolls. But had to send it back because it was just panko crust wrapped in rice with tiny peace's of salmon with more panko crust on top. I replaced it with the rainbow roll. Not much better. They smeared avocado paste on everything and used it as a filler instead of fish. I got the filet mignon and chicken. The steak tasted peculiar and the used sushi rice for the entree and the vegetables were a type of slaw and everything was smothered and in sauce.. They took every shortcut and cheapened the food... I've only done To- Go orders here so this review is based on that alone. I cannot tell you about the service with the exception of the front hostess ringing up my food. Now with that being said.... I stick to the steak/shrimp hibatchi lunch or dinner. I usually get fried rice and it comes with a side of yum yum sauce. My ONLY issue is this: THE PORTION SIZE NEEDS TO BE BIGGER. Look, I can go down the road to another place and get hibatchi and will be full when I finish for the same price. And I thought I was crazy so I got the dinner portion and it was the same size as the lunch portion?!? So you're telling me for almost $15 I am getting five shrimp and like four pieces of steak but an abundance of rice and veggies??? The quality of the food is good- not gonna lie but I feel like I'm being ripped off just a little bit when I eat here- a lot of money but not a lot of food. They got 3 stars solely bc the food is good but I refuse to score them higher until they do something about their portions. Again, their competition down the road gives you more for the same price. I really, really wanted to love this place. I saw all the great reviews - and was intrigued by Karo's raving about the spring rolls. I'm ALWAYS looking for a good spring roll. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. I ordered the Spicy Asian Chicken appetizer and the Oki Spring Roll appetizer. My Asian Chicken was tough and chewy - as though it was not prepared fresh - it was around 3:30pm on a Monday - but on a positive note, the actual sauce was nice. My Oki Spring Roll was tough, tough, tough. And it was almost as though it was 'double' wrapped. Oh - as an added bonus - the order includes three and one of them was burnt. See pics. Honestly, since I wasn't that crazy about the food, I was NOT super bummed that there wasn't more of it - but I feel I have to mention that for the price - I found the portion sizes fairly small compared to other Hibachi spots. I get that I ordered appetizers - but appetizers are typically large enough for 2 people - the chicken appetizer was barely enough for one person. But maybe I'm just used to oversized American portions. To wrap up, the staff was fairly friendly. Sidenote - I appreciated the owner's thoughtful response to their one negative review. Some owner's get defensive and hostile when they respond. And I thought the décor was nice - though the tiny, narrow benches for take-out could not comfortably accommodate this caboose - lol. The restrooms were clean. So four stars for interior, 3 stars / A-ok for the staff, but 1 star for the food - nets a 2 star - Meh. I've definitely experienced better Yelp rating. read more

We came earlier in the day on a weekday morning and overall we had a good experience here. When we first entered, we were immediately greeted by the host who promptly sat us down at a booth. The interior design of this place is welcoming and it has a full sushi bar that is well maintained. We were the only other table here but I suppose it is because it is still early in the day. I do like the presentation at the table, they added some flowers and it was a nice touch to improve the atmosphere of the restaurant. Food: My boyfriend and I started off with some crab rangoon, which came out quickly and it is pretty standard. The presentation of the food was good and I enjoyed it. I decided to try the sushi lunch while my boyfriend tried the hibachi lunch. There are some inconsistencies with the menu. With my sashimi platter it was suppose to come with rice, but the server told me that it didn't but offered to bring me some. It was 14.95 for 10 pieces of sushi and it was chef's choice (salmon, tuna, yellowtail and squid I believe) The sushi tasted fresh but the amount you get for 14.95 in my opinion wasn't worth it. The salmon teriyaki bowl on the other hand was 6.95 and came with a big piece of fish. My boyfriend enjoyed his food.It wasn't spectacular but it was okay. Service: My review for this restaurant primarily falls on the service received. It was a slow morning and this particular server only had two tables. I only wished she was more attentive to us while we were dining. For example, the water wasn't refilled until we were finished eating. She came over and offered but we were already done with the meal. I did like how she offered the rice after telling her that it was written in the menu, but it did take her a while to bring the rice as well. The only time she stopped by was to pick up our appetizer plate, serve our food and to drop off the check. Overall it was just an okay dining experience. It wasn't bad, but i just think there are other sushi restaurants that offer a more affordable lunch price while maintaining the quality. I have tried this place before and the fried rice was good. But they are pretty pricey for the amount of food and everything is ala carte. Much better off going for a real hibachi experience if you pay this amount. VERY pricey for the food and service. Trust me you are better off going to a nearby hibachi place. I called in a Togo order for filet mignon and chicken hibachi, one avocado roll and one crazy crab roll. The staff were all super friendly and answered all my questions. I walked in and was greeted right away. The space was very clean and pretty. I looked in my bag and notice I didn't eat soup or salad like a normal hibachi place. I asked why and they said it's only for dine in. I thought that was very unusual considering I'm paying the same price as Dine in. My steak was very juicy and the portions were decent. I liked the space and staff was friendly. We started with salads and then my husband had the filet mignon and chicken my daughter the teriyaki shrimp and fried rice , and I had the scorpion roll. The salads were just lettuce...no carrots or cucumbers which was a little disappointing considering that obviously you have those ingredients. My husband really enjoyed his food and my daughter ACTUALLY ate which was a plus. Now for my scorpion roll.... presentation was nice and the portion was huge compared to the usual 8 -10 pieces I'm used to receiving...however...it was just ok. My shrimp and soft shell crab didnt taste fresh and when I added cucumber they assumed I wanted them to remove the avocado. I have yet to sit down inside and eat. I always get my food to go! And so far all I have ever ordered is the sashimi and sushi so my review will be based on that and the service of the staff I have had interacted with. I love first of all that the establishment is ALWAYS CLEAN!! And I am ALWAYS greeted when I walk in! Now the food...OMGGGGGGG the sushi and sashimi are always fresh!! I do believe they had a slight price increase recently but I DONT mid because the selections are always fresh and beautifully presented!! The portion size is pretty good. But please do not go any smaller when making the sashimi! It seems like they did cut the size a little but not too significantly. My only complaint is that when I make special requests or ask for certain things the sushi chef all of a sudden can't understand or can't hear... So I think he should be more attentive to customers in that way because they could be asking for certain things due to allergy, diet or just plain preference. I used to go to another restaurant (which will remain nameless but just look at some of my other reviews) anyway, Okinawa beats that place by leaps and bounds!! I have yet to try their hibachi but I have heard it's great also! The only reason I haven't scored a 5 is that I need to experience dining inside and I have trouble giving perfect ratings anyway. keep up the good work and I hope that as time passes you continue to improve in your business and not cut corners and decline. read more

I didn't really rock with the Japanese cuisine & I've now noticed I've been a complete dumb ass . Food is ALWAYS good & I never have to wonder (unlike Lucky Dragon don't know if they cooking sloth or an emu or what) because the food is always edible & lacks hella gristle! Was at the end of a long carbless diet and wanted to treat myself to a solid meal. My best friend told me she had this place before so I thought i'd give it a try. I ordered a sushi + hibachi combo with a side of veggies. One thing I can definitely say is that the presentation was nice and the employees were very welcoming. They gave me an extra eel sauce without making me pay which was nice, but I asked for a spicy mayo too and that wasn't free. Which sucks cause a lot of times sushi is accompanied with that. Speaking of the sushi, I got the shrimp tempura roll (which was an extra dollar btw) and i didn't taste any shrimp or tempura batter. Not really any crisp to it. Had good flavor though. The vegetables I got were very underwhelming, too salty for my liking and very shredded. wasn't exactly sure what vegetables I was actually eating. Lastly we have the bulgogi entree, I wish I didn't spend extra money on that, I was trying to avoid battered chicken and was willing to spend an extra $4 to do so but man. That steak was so DRY and COLD. No flavor. Just all around underwhelming. & for $20+. I think that this is a solid restaurant that's worth the try, but maybe stick to the cheaper options/make sure your food is exactly how you like it. read more

Okay just to be fair, I have never actually been to this location to eat. My review is based solely on the food because I always order from here via UberEats. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Now that is out of the way, let's talk food. The sushi here is really good. I'm a big fan of the bagel roll and avocado roll. Every time I have ordered it has been nicely prepared and very yummy. For the area that I live, there are not a lot of sushi choices so I'm glad I have this place. I have also had the pleasure of having their shrimp and chicken fried rice which has also been very good. It taste like hibachi style rice and not the standard fried rice. Each time I have ordered, and it is often, the food has never disappointed. I was not impressed with my hibachi meal. The iced tea tastes like water, just a little sweet since I added Splenda. It comes in a red glass so you don't know if you're drinking & paying for water. My iceberg lettuce salad was crisp and the ginger dressing was a little too sweet. My entree was OK, the shrimp were small but cooked well. My steak was over cooked. Now to me the ginger sauce is why I go to hibachi places. They give me a container of some non-descript sauce. Maybe it was the yum-yum sauce, not what I wanted. The fried rice was boring, just some rice chased around the grill with butter and soy sauce. Bleh. The vegetables were OK, just couldn't tell what it was. My only regret is I didn't see the spicy mayo sauce in the bag until I was almost finished eating (I may have attacked the food) ... the spicy Mayo sauce is not like anything I've ever seen with other Mayo sauces. I've been trying to get here for a minute & finally came for lunch the price was great & the portions were very good if I had office to go back to I'd be in trouble because I'd be very full. The miso soup was very good and flavorful. The vegetables were very very good. I could have eaten a whole bowl of them with just rice. Next time I come back I'd get the Teriyaki sauce on the side because I had a bit too much and I like the taste of the spicy mayo they had so I would suggest getting a side of that.
