Princess chicken lunch special, sauce on the side - forgot the peas, carrots and mushrooms
Denise G.

I haven't been here in years but saw several positive Nextdoor recommendations & folks encouraging people to stop in now that the doors have reopened. (They were closed after major damage to their front entrance last year.) I called to see if they still offered 'in-house' delivery (versus Grubhub, DoorDash or UberEats). Cashier said Yes, based on delivery address. Over 4 miles = $40 minimum, less than = $20 minimum order. I told her I was about 2.5 miles away. Once I recited my address, she told me I was 4.7 miles away. I asked, politely, if she could confirm address. She giggled & said, 'Hold let me check again.' and then she said, 'Oh. Ok. It's 2.7 miles. Minimum $20.' Interior / Exterior Used delivery at first. When I did go inside (later) only made it to the counter. Parking lot entrance is a little steep. Smallish, but I don't think it gets crowded - primarily carryout. Unsure about cleanliness. Food We ordered: Thai Pineapple Fried Rice Stir fried with chicken, shrimp, basil, onions, peas, carrots, pineapple & eggs Asked if they could omit shrimp and add cashews. They said they could omit the shrimp and add more chicken. But they could not add cashews during the stir fry, they could only sprinkle uncooked cashews on top, so I declined the cashews. We asked that they make it spicy. Princess (Lunch) Battered and sauteed szechuan style with peas, carrots & mushrooms I asked if they could put the sauce on the side & the cashier said 'it comes that way.' Chicken 'nuggets' kids meal Tempura battered chicken tenders with regular french fries. We had to ask about kids meals. They are not listed on the paper menu or website, but it's fried shrimp OR chicken with a side of fries or fried rice. The chicken kids meal is $5.99 - can't remember cost of shrimp version. We asked if the fries were 'regular' & the cashier said, 'yes, regular fries.' The Thai Pineapple Fried Rice was not spicy at all. It was very oily though. You could actually see oil pooling in the bottom of the styrofoam container. There was also VERY little chicken. If this was double chicken I would hate to see what the regular portion of chicken looked like. There was also very little pineapple. We divided this and organically ate several bites before realizing that we'd run out of chicken. See second pic to see how much rice was left after running out of chicken. The Princess Lunch was disappointing. The peas, carrots & mushrooms I expected to be scattered among my chicken were missing entirely. I don't typically eat eggrolls (spring roll girl here) but I tried it since I was still hungry. It was tough & chewy. I called the restaurant because I thought they sent the wrong order & cashier said she thought I didn't want the vegetables because I said szechuan sauce. I explained that I got that from THEIR menu description & when I said I wanted the szechuan sauce on the side, I still wanted my veggies. I explained to her that the veggies were missing entirely. She said she was new & put the owner on the phone. I explained the situation. The owner told me to bring the food back and she would remake it. I told her I'd bring it back the next day. The Chicken nuggets kids meal was a strange portion. Too much for a toddler, but not enough for 7 or 8 year old. The fries are not 'regular.' They are the seasoned, battered fries - so the kid wouldn't eat them. This is why we asked if the fries were regular to begin with. Value / Price The lunch specials seem to be a good value. Customer Service The driver called from the driveway instead of ringing the doorbell which I found odd. I was sitting downstairs by door awaiting their arrival / phone was upstairs charging. When I called to notify them of the error, the cashier nor manager bothered to offer a simple apology. When I went to pickup the do-over meal, I was not offered an apology nor a complimentary beverage or eggroll, etc for the inconvenience of driving up there. I would have declined since I stopped drinking tea / don't eat eggrolls (lol) but the offer would have been nice. The new meal had the veggies in the sauce & the owner said it comes this way unless you dine in, because previous customers complained that it got soggy when they don't serve sauce separately (for delivery). I explained that I understood that - but it was missing the veggies before. Ultimately, the amount of vegetables in the sauce was so minimal, it was a waste of time (one tiny sliver of mushroom and very little else). Another misstep - when I had them omit the shrimp from the Thai Fried Rice, I told them I was allergic to shrimp. When I ordered the Princess Lunch they didn't mention that there were shrimp in the eggrolls. I get that they may not have realized that we were splitting both entrees but historically, when I mention a shellfish allergy, order-takers tend to go out of their way to warn me about any shellfish throughout the order or being packaged with the other meals.

General Tso's chicken

Actual rating is 3 1/2 stars. We read quite a few reviews in advance and I'm convinced that a lot of people just haven't had good Chinese food before. The restaurant is small and primarily for takeout (bare bones). There are some booths but it's tight in there and they didn't have the heat on. They stay busy. A lot of people come from far away and I'm still not sure why. It tastes like typical mall food court. I ordered General Tso's chicken. The portion size was good. The flavor was fine, but we waited 15 minutes for what was to be fresh food. We got home a few minutes later and the sauce had almost gelled to a jelly type consistency. My husband had Hunan beef which he said was fine but not the best he'd ever had. The spring rolls were very crispy and very tasty. The shrimp egg rolls were good but the shrimp were almost nonexistent. If we're over that way and desperate for Chinese, I might buy again but it's not a place on our "must revisit" list. The search continues for good Chinese on this side of Cobb.

We're new to the area and have tried a few Chinese places before Lucky Dragon and were very disappointed. Lucky Dragon broke the cycle! We orders delivery and it arrived quickly! The Miso & egg drop soup were still hot hot and full of authentic flavor. The apps are where I rly start to judge.. crab Rangoon and pot stickers. Delicious!!! Creamy fresh and crispy Rangoons and FRESH FRESH pot stickers and a delicious sauce! I will definitely order again!!

Singapore stir fry..... Good, but missing the curry powder.

My son & I were doing some shopping in Austell, Ga and decided to dine in for dinner one Friday evening. My first concern was that there was not a soul in sight. We walked in and stood at the front entrance and no one came, so I proceeded to the back of the restaurant and located 2 gentleman talking, and asked were they open. The younger gentleman apologized then seated us near the front of the restaurant. I was a little surprised to see that we were the only ones there which should have been my que to get out of there-lol, but I decided to order a $1.50 domestic beer instead ($1.50 domestic beer on Friday & Saturday). I ended up ordering the Singapore house stir fry, which was prepared without the curry and surprisingly good. My son ordered hot wings and fried rice ( no suprise, the kid is going through a hot wing phase ). The food was really good, but it seemed hard to get the attention of the waiter for refills ( reminder: we were the only ones there ). They had a few take out orders, but no major traffic. I'm giving them only 3 stars and not 4 based on service only... Because the food was excellent and the price was right, our tab was around $25.00 w/o tip. I'm sure we will be dining in again :)

Lucky Dragon is always on point. The food is never greasy. We recently discovered the lemon pepper chicken. It is now one of our favorites.

Why is Lucky Dragon closed? They have been closed for a few weeks. Is this a permanent or temporary situation?

Food: 5/5 We decided to try a leisurely lunch. The menu is not large, but it has enough variety to be interesting. Everything we tried was delicious. The smoked salmon appetizer portion was large, but the best part was the great flavor. I can see why this choice has been on the menu for years. The Vidalia onion soup will be a surprise for the non-Georgians who expect it to be similar to a savory beef broth like French onion soup. Georgia's onions from the Vidalia area are sweet and tasty enough to carry the soup without the help of a meat broth and the green pesto sauce offers a nice additional touch. The salmon on fresh salad was done perfectly. The panka-crusted cod with mashed potatoes and spinach was outstanding. Both were seasoned so lightly that the true flavors shone through. The portions were generous enough that dessert at the time would have been too much, but others can do as we did and take home one of the dessert choices. Next time we plan to try their sandwiches which looked yummy at other tables. Service : 5/5 Service was excellent from the pleasant greeting, through the entire meal. Our server, Clayton, couldn't have been more helpful with the menu, as well as being very efficient and amiable. He made sure our food was served promptly and our beverages glasses were full, and our requests were met quickly. Facility: The facility lends itself to the riverside experience from the canoe in the entryway ceiling to the flowers and bird feeders just beyond the patio tables. The white tablecloth ambiance informs you that this isn't a fast-food experience. There are tents set aside in a more private are of the garden as a lovely venue for special events Location : This isn't a quick roadside stop next to a 6-lane highway. Even though the restaurant is convenient to dine in an Atlanta suburb, the roads to the restaurant wind and meander for a short distance through one of the prettiest neighborhoods, with a canopy of large old trees, with lovely fences, hedges, and gates lining the road. There is courteous valet parking at the front door. The restaurant is not inexpensive but it is well worth the prices paid, in our opinion.

The hostess was welcoming, and we enjoyed waiting by the lake before being seated. When our table turned out to be directly under a cold air vent, the staff happily moved us to a more comfortable spot. The onion soup wasn't what we expected based on the menu description, and my salmon arrived much rarer than anticipated. After sending it back, it was cooked perfectly, though the flavor was just okay. My husband loved his entrée, and the complimentary birthday dessert was a thoughtful touch. Despite a couple of hiccups, the beautiful atmosphere and attentive service made for an enjoyable evening. I'd definitely return and try something different next time.

So me and my big back strutted in and came across this lovely restaurant and noticed they had an assortment of different bao. I chose three different proteins. And I thoroughly enjoyed them all! I got the pork belly bao, the beef Bulgogi style bao, and the hot honey shrimp bao. They were so flavorful and delicious and that bun so moist and perfect. Except for the wonderful lady that gave me my order, It's a pretty much non-personable restaurant. You're just pretty much placing your order at a kiosk. But it does make it easy. Just know what you want before you walk up to the kiosk because if you get a little overwhelmed with the options like me and take a long time you might end up with the long line of hungry people behind you lol Inside the hall, there's plenty of places to sit and the vibe is cool. They have events inside the hall by the way as well during the week, so if you stop by to grab a bao then maybe you'll able to take advantage of an event.

I initially planned for the bao buns only, but the prices were quite reasonable thanks to the $16 lunch special - so I thought I'd try a bit more. So glad that I did. Mushi Ni has an electronic ordering system which was really easy to navigate. I chose my lunch special and added in my dumplings, and poof - the order was on the way to the kitchen. I walked around the food hall for a few so I don't really know how quickly my order was completed, but when I returned, the guy behind the counter saw me and started bagging it up. I found a seat outside for some natural lighting and started snapping away. I really went to enjoy and share the bao buns but figured I'd have a quick bite of the dumplings and keep it pushing. Listen. WOW. I was immediately taken aback because, what?! They were spicy, so savory and full of pork, with a little punch of lime in there somewhere. I didn't even need to have a second bite before I decided that I *had* to order a second round. Wow. The fries were also phenomenal! Super crunchy, the seasonings on top were such a nice touch. And the trend continued with the fluffy, flavorful bao buns. Seriously just an all-around amazing experience. I thought I'd enjoy their food but this experience exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to have more of those dumplings!
