There are two floors so a decent amount of seating SERVICE - very friendly but the place is hopping MENU - all breakfast items all day long. Eggs any style, pastries albeit small selection. Handheld wraps and a couple of burger choices. Plus salads and bowls. Overall very small menu but a little of everything breakfast would entail NOISE LEVEL - worth noting is that the place is very noisy when a lot of tables are being served COFFEE - pretty good quality and the double sized latte is really big. PORTIONS - definitely a little bigger than most and the plates are interestingly played out. A nice presentation PRICES - as you piece together a breakfast for example eggs, cheese, mushroom omelette, you're talking over $20 Overall a solid three and a half. Nice spot for brunch in a nice country style setting. There are plenty of seats inside, so even though it was busy on a Sunday we were able to walk in. Good quality coffee. Cortado, cappuccinos were good. You can also get very large sized lattes which look like soup bowls! The menu had a range with lots of breakfast items and healthier salad/bowls sandwiches. You could enjoy breakfast brunch or lunch here. We enjoyed the pancakes to share and and the shakshuka and avo croissant. The food here is great- I'm not sure why they have less than 4 stars. These are some of the absolute best buttermilk pancakes in New York and the rest of the menu is very good, as well. There is something for everyone here and the pastries are delicious, too. We tried this place on a whim and it was a good experience. We walked in and there were a few tables available. Our order was taken in a timely manner and the staff was kind and welcoming. The food took a while to arrive, but it was delicious and plated beautifully. The eggs were fluffy and I recommend having some. My partner ordered the "Champ Pancakes" but was disappointed that the plate served contained a singular pancake. I would recommend updating the menu if this is the norm to avoid false advertising. Came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon, the place was fully booked and people were waiting in line inside to be seated, would definitely recommend making a reservation if you're looking to come here on the weekend. The decor and interior gives off a cozy home-y vibe, definitely feels like a classic brunch specialist cafe. I'll say the food was good all around, the pita and hummus was solid, not watery at all and not drenched in oil. The sunrise platter was packed with fresh fruits and delicious toast and cheese. The food here is very good and the menu is quite large. There are a number of vegetarian/vegan options as well. You won't be disappointed with any dish you choose. They also have a variety of drinks - coffee drinks, NA drinks and alcoholic drinks too. I have to deduct two stars because the service here is always terrible. Even if the restaurant is nearly empty, service is inattentive. There are many staff members just idly standing around sometimes while you are waiting 15 minutes for your order to be taken. The last time I came here, I had to ask the server twice for water, as it was never brought to us when we sat down. The food can sometimes take a while too, so manage your expectations. Overall, I think this place has great potential and a great menu, but the staff needs to improve greatly. read more

I made a reservation for breakfast here for two reasons 1) it was in Tribeca, where I needed to be for something else and 2) it was the only place online that offered outside seating in that area (labeled "Patio" on Resy as opposed to the inside dining option). I show up there today, tell the waiter I have a reservation for the patio, and he says I can have any table I want (pointing at indoor tables). I tell him that I made a reservation for outside, and he tells me--in an unpleasant tone--something like: "you can see that we don't have any tables outside." Actually, no, I can't "see" that because I don't know if their patio is a front or back patio, and that's a rude comment either way! I explain to him that I came here specifically because Resy let me choose outside and that this is something they need to fix in the system. At one point he tells me I must have reserved for their other location. I pull up my phone and show him it was very much the Tribeca location, and the reservation is labeled "Patio." He says his manager does this stuff, and I tell him he needs to have his manager fix this in the system or they will have other upset customers. Not once--and I said this to him at the end after giving him other opportunities before that--did the waiter as much as apologize for the mishap. Even if it wasn't his fault (and I said at one point it wasn't my fault and it wasn't his fault), he is the front facing person of this establishment. I wasted my time researching the place and coming here and I'm not even asking for anything monetary but rather to be treated with basic respect. Apparently, at Ol' Days that's a bridge too far. read more

I found this place from an artist I found on instagram and decided to try this place after admiring at his delicious art. We came in specifically for the waffles and they didn't disappoint. While I had a great time at the restaurant overall due to the attentiveness and customer service of all staff I encountered it's a nah for me. My friend and I had a reservation on a nice Saturday late afternoon and arrived a little earlier than expected. We were immediately seated by the host. My friend had the French toast with a side of eggs and bacon and I had the waffles and bacon. I sent the waffles back, because they were too gooey and chewy-like. I ordered the pancakes as a replacement and they were so good with the perfect texture and taste (a hint of orange flavor but not too overpowering). I also ordered extra bacon because it was just that good. The waiter was happy to take away my once bitten waffles and replace them with an order of pancakes with no fuss, and I didn't have to wait too long for the pancakes to come out either. Still, those waffles being so distasteful turned me off. Plus, my friend did not like her eggs. The restaurant is quite cozy and it looks like they have to-go orders as well. Food came out quickly but like 40 minutes in so around 11:10 they were telling us they had a reservation coming up so we had 10-15 minutes to finish. We had like half a plate of food and drinks left. There's no time limit mentioned when you make a reservation and I feel like if they were in need of a table quickly they should have either told us when we sat or have better reservation time slots.
