Tbh worth the wait! Cute spot and the food was pretty good, very Parisian! I'd skip the latte and jamon next time and just get the madam and French toast. Very flavorful and filling. Service was very fast!

This place is great, awesome vibe and service and the food is good and the price not bad for nyc. I especially like the scrambled eggs they make then the way I like them. Green juice is very good too I ended up getting two of them lol great spot for French brunch in New York City!

Buvette is a cozy French restaurant in West Village. Seating here can be tight here, but I do like how the restaurant looks! I came here at a weekday evening around 6 and it was definitely quite busy. However there were some seating at the bar. Their dishes are small so definitely worth ordering multiple dishes. I had their mussels with fries and the lobster pot pie. I really enjoyed the mussels and the fries were nicely seasoned. I liked the pot pie, but it felt more like a soup than a pie though.

Buvette is a charming French spot, that I have been to a few times over the years. The ambiance, service, and food is always great. I was able to walk in on a weekday for brunch, however I know on the weekends there's typically a line. I ordered the Pain Perdu and a hot chocolate. In the past, I have gotten the waffle (which I love) but decided to venture out. Overall, the food was really well done. I think I prefer the waffle since it is less sweet, but you really can't go wrong. I would recommend trying Buvette for breakfast or brunch if you can!

So happy I stumbled upon this spot while I was waiting for a lunch reservation. I was warmly welcomed as soon as I stepped in and felt like I was transported to Europe. Perfect cozy date spot if you're looking for one! Service was attentive and kind, even as a solo customer only getting coffee. Loved my beverage and I would definitely go back to try their food. I saw a couple love their dessert so much that they ordered another to go!

It was busy for lunch on a Friday but we got a seat in their back garden area which was very nice. Food was really good (croque madame and pain au chocolat with almonds). The rosé was DELIGHTFUL. One of the best pours I've had in a bit.

I saw this place on instagram while looking for breakfast spots in the city and I'm really glad i stopped by their breakfast is so delicious! Food: Waffle sandwich [5/5]: One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in greenwich. The Belgian waffle is so delicious, soft, and sweet. The cheese pull on the sandwich was unexpected and so good, the bacon was so sweet and savory and to top it all off the running egg was just a chefs kiss. This sandwich is a must have. I would highly recommend this item even if you're planning on getting something else. Best item on their menu and I don't think anything else could top it. Me and my aunt both really enjoyed this item and would definitely get it again if we're nearby. Belgian waffle [4/5]: This single waffle topped with an assortment of berries was honestly pretty good. It's not visible but it also comes with some type of syrup that's really good. They put the perfect amount not too much or too little. Honestly I liked it. Not as filling as the sandwich but it's still pretty good I wouldn't order this alone but I still recommend getting it if you're curious. Lemonade [4/5]: The lemonade is house made according to our server, Hart. Its really delicious I would've preferred if 85% of the cup wasn't ice because it was honestly delicious not refill for $11 delicious..but it was very delicious nontheless! Ginger soda [4/5]: Its very strong if you're into ginger tea you'd like this since it's basically a cold sparkled version of that. Hart recommended that for my aunt and she loved it a lot. It's also made with a house made ginger syrup. It is really strong though. Also had 85% ice in the cup and 15% of the drink. Ambiance [3/5]: I shouldn't have expected much out of a restaurant in greenwich, EXTREMELY cramped but they have an outdoor seating which honestly wasn't bad I'm not sure why so many people sat inside when outside had heating and was practically empty. Inside is so cramped you're bumping backs with people and the store is very busy as well so there will definitely be a crowd when you go. We waited two minutes for a seat and decided we'd rather sit outside to avoid being on top of people which is one hundred percent the better option. Service [5/5]: The staff was friendly, and they checked up on us. The food came pretty quick despite them being ridiculously busy. There isn't much to say really about the service it was quick, friendly, and efficient. Overall, this place has some delicious food I'd 100% order to go rather than eating inside sincd it's really cramped. But with great food, and great service you can't complain too much. I highly recommend this place and the waffle sandwich is worth trying if you're in the area. I see myself coming back here again.

Food - 10/10 food that felt like I was in Europe (even though I've never even been) The almond croissants were so cute, it came with two. So you could share or eat both (what I did). The scrambled eggs were generous and were already salted and peppered which I loved. The ORANGE JUICE... get the orange juice! Tasted like it had JUST been squeezed. My mom and I loved that. Really good cappuccinos too. Service - The service was good, your water glass will always be filled, which was nice. They are very attentive to whatever you would need, it was a sweet restaurant! Ambiance - It's a tiny + quaint cafe. So if you are seated at a two top, expect to be very friendly with the person next to you. But I honestly didn't mind it!

Excellent food, good service. Tables a bit squished together. The candles really wanted to light my miniskirt on fire when gettting in, getting out. Brought my partner here for his birthday last night. Coq au vin was delicious, albeit very hard to eat from a tiny serving bowl. Carrot side was okay, bit too vinegar-y for me. Gratin potatoes to die for. We ordered crème brûlée and it was YUM! Came with a spoonful of their mousse that we almost ordered and it was soooo good. The only half point I would knock off is they don't look after your water level in your glasses. Dry! Bill for two around $120.

I love this place! Definitely one of the best West Village restaurants it needs to be here forever! This tiny cozy French restaurant is so beautiful and delicious, had to go back twice in a week! They seat you right away and they don't take reservations. I tried few dishes and they all were delicious. They do have a slightly different menu depending when you visit the restaurant.(Freshly squeezed juices in the morning time etc) Highly recommend.

FINALLY after years and years of this place being on my list I got the chance to go over labor day weekend recently. It was delicious, and I can see why they've held their own in the brunch scene of NYC for so long. First, I was impressed by their cafe miel which is a cappuccino/latte of sorts with honey. I am very skeptical of French coffee when they make espresso-based drinks, as I've been burned many times in France by bad coffee. This was excellent - smooth and integrated texture, and not too sweet despite the honey, honoring the excellent quality of both the honey and the coffee. The croque monsieur was delicious as well - you know you have to get it when you get French brunch. The bread was a nice texture, everything was married together nicely and it was nice and savory, though not as impressive as the french toast and chocolate almond croissant. French toast with berries was DELICIOUS. I mean that brioche was soooooo light and fluffy, savory and sweet and such a dream. It was the star of the show. The chocolate almond croissants also had a great fresh texture. I mean wow. Would come back in a heartbeat. Excellent brunch.

I came here for brunch on a Sunday. My friend and I had to wait 24 minutes (yes I timed our wait) to be seated. It's very tight inside. There's outdoor seating. Service was pretty fast. Everything came on small plates. I got the crq madame, which was recommended to me by one of the server. It was very yummy! A perfect mix/ratio of everything. The bathrooms are downstairs. It's not that bright inside and again is pretty tight. You are very close with your neighbors.

As per their website url: I love buvette. I really do. And each visit, I find something new to love about it. Didn't ask for my server's name, but she's got short, curly brunette hair and she made such good recommendations and was just a joy. Manager, if you see this, please send her my compliments! They have an extensive list of non-alcoholic drinks (just ask your server. I will be back to try the NA margarita). I tried the watermelon lemonde. It's sparkling - which kinda gives the illusion of ferment - but it's sweet and refreshing. The lemon part of the drink isn't super pronounced (it's there, you just have to look for it) but honestly, I'm not mad at it. It's genuinely a very tasty drink and I couldn't recommend it more. I have this place on my list of favorite French fries in the city, and I'm happy to know it still is. If you like a 'limpier' fry - kind of like the ones from five guys - this is a great option. I tried one of their specials; the poulet roti - very simple flavors but very well roasted and juicy. This meal was so filling, but I can never say no to a sweet treat so I had their famous chocolate mousse. Perfection. Pure perfection. The chocolate is the right amount of dark and whenever you need a little break from the bitter - whipped cream! It's so perfect and chocolatey and melt in your mouth. It's famous for a reason.

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.
