    Mimosa flight
    Jaylee C.

We've been here multiple times and each time it's been okay, but yesterday was just ridiculous. Yesterday we went in specifically to get a small bite and to have a mimosa flight. It was noon. The host brought us to a table and asked "is a high top okay?" and we said oh can we have a regular table. He rolled his eyes and brought us to a different table... okay?? As soon as we sat down we noticed the table was very sticky and asked for water because of how hot it was outside. We ordered and received the mimosa flight maybe ten fifteen minutes later and asked for water once again. We decider to not order food. Some time passed by again with no waiters around and no one checking up on us, we called someone and asked once again for some water. We had to ask three separate times before they finally brought over the water, and by the time we got them we were frustrated with our experience and asked for the check and left.

Nice big parking lot around the area, and when we came around 9:30 AM there were still a few prime spots right in front--always a good start! Right away, the vibe was giving outdoor patio but with cozy indoor energy. Super clean inside and out, and the staff was really friendly. Our waitress this morning--her name was "B"--was the sweetest. Super kind, always checking in on us and making sure we were good. If you're like me and super indecisive, I usually stalk the menu the night before. But this menu was HUGE--pages and pages. I flipped straight to the brunch section in the back (three full pages!) and landed on the Supreme Skillet: potatoes, over-easy eggs, bell peppers, ham, and sausage. It came with three tortillas of your choice--I picked corn. Taste-wise, it was good, but I wish there were bigger and more pieces of meat. Compared to other skillets I've had, this one was a little light on the protein. It was $17.99. I'd rate it a 6.5/10, but with the refried beans on the side, it bumped up to a 6.9/10. My bestie ordered the Combo Benedict with French toast sticks, and honestly...the French toast sticks were the star. Super crispy, fluffy inside, and perfect with syrup. We also got the mimosa flight--mango, strawberry, and peach. All were tasty, super cute, and very Instagram-worthy. I can totally see this place popping at night with music and drinks. That said, even in the morning with only one other couple next to us, the music was pretty loud--it was kinda hard to talk during our brunch, literally had to look at besties lips to know what she's saying. I can't even imagine nighttime volume, lol. Overall: Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 3.5/5 Definitely a fun spot to try, especially if it's your first time! But def plenty better brunch food out there! Happy eats!

OLA Restobar...Where the server hustles harder than the DJ! Came in after partaking in the Christmas parade with my husband, still buzzing from the floats and ready for food and drinks. The place had the perfect post-parade vibe: not packed, super chill, and the DJ was on a wild (but awesome) journey. He played old-school reggaeton, hip-hop, 80s throwbacks, banda, corridos... basically a musical piñata. Then there was Arturo (pretty sure that's what the name tag said). This man is a national treasure and an absolute MENACE (in the best way possible). I barely grazed the drink menu twice and POOF!! He materialized like a cocktail genie asking if I needed another round. His radar for empty glasses should be studied by NASA. I watched him zoom around the room subtly pointing at people's drinks like, "Hey! Your glass is looking a little lonely." He even stopped to help two girlfriends who were either attempting to take selfies, or simply asked him, or he could have offered. Dude's energy and permanent smile could power the whole block. Funniest, fastest, friendliest service we've ever had. Arturo, if you're reading this, (or your boss) you need to be given a raise, a cape, or both. Now, foodwise: Drinks? On point. Carajillo and Aperol Spritz were perfect. Food? Delicious. Queso fundido with shrimp disappeared in record time. My enchiladas de camarón were fantastic, and husband demolished the aguachile divorciados. Only tiny nitpick: the sauce on my enchiladas tasted too much like oregano to me. Everything else? Wonderful.

I have been coming here for a little over a year. My friend and I like to come here to grab some food before we enjoy some nightlife in Covina. I always get the tour of the sea shrimp taco plate. It's $18 for four tacos. The tacos are good but I come back for the vibe. It's a good place to start the night. The music is ok but no one is ever on the dance floor. So we usually just eat then leave. They do have an extensive drink list. I gave tried the espresso martini and the lychee martini but I wouldn't recommend either one at all. The beer is ice cold and the service is somewhat slow but not terrible. Very polite and respectful, but I waited 20 minutes for the check to come last night. We can move a little better than that. A good place to start the night or watch a game. I would recommend coming in a Sunday at brunch time.

    Aguachiles Divorciados

Came out on an early Saturday night. We just wanted to try out some aguachiles but experienced more than that. Music was loud, I would recommend some hearing protection for anyone. Please take care of your ears. Ample space for dancing and drinking. Our server was fine. The octopus was a bit chewy, the flavor of our dishes were good. We just wouldn't pay for the price again. Plenty of parking spots nearby.

Tried Ola recently and really enjoyed it. The Mexican food was flavorful, fresh, and the portions were solid. The atmosphere was great, the music was actually good without being too loud, and the whole place had a fun vibe. Staff was friendly and everything came out pretty quick. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and recommend if you're looking for good Mexican food with a good atmosphere.

Thanks to Erica at the bar I had suck a great time! A lot of TVs, Sound and music is good. And even though I wanted a regular consume (I should have read the menu) this shrimp and fish soup had great flavor plus on lunch it came with a Margarita. My friend had the taco plate and it was a lunch special with a Beer. I definitely will be returning to the place especially if Erica is working at the Bar or floor!

OLA is located off Citrus Ave and parking is available all over but can be challenging during prime time hours. I appreciate that there's indoor and outdoor seating. There's plenty of seating and they offer TV for entertainment. It's suitable for all crowds. The music is a bit too loud for my preference. Customer service was accommodating. She made her recs which I appreciated. Portions are plenty and food had a ton of flavor.

Such a fun place for date night. And it won't break the bank either. We ordered so much food for just us two, and we had so many leftovers. They price their food reasonably, but the quality of their seafood is superb. Everything is fresh. Portions are generous. And the servers are kind and attentive. It's definitely a neighborhood gem.

The food was absolutely amazing!! The service was fine. My only complaint is that it was so loud I had to sit right next to my sister and pretty much yell the whole time. It's like a club that's how loud it was.

Came here after a softball game and ordered Nachos, tacos, taquitos and drinks. Service was slow but they were nice. Vibe is for sure a sports bar. It was way too loud, however we enjoyed watching all the football games. Not a bad stop but also not my first choice.

We recently booked a private party and reserved two rooms for my birthday celebration, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The ambiance is great, music, games and TV's for sports. They also had karaoke and honestly it was a little loud but, whatever I got used to it. We sat at the bar and our server was great! Our server took our drink order and food order within minutes and we watched a game while waiting for our food. My son ordered the Edna Vee burger with tots and mac n cheese. He loved the burger and tots and said the mac n cheese was alright. I ordered the Cesar salad wrap with tots and I thought it was great! My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I'm not a huge fan of soggy bread but, this one was perfect. It had candied walnuts, caramel, vanilla ice cream and apples. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've had. Since we were starving, I didn't get food pics but, I would absolutely recommend dining here for a good time and good food.

As I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed they had an outdoor seating area, which is really nice on hot days. It looked like a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening. When I went inside, I immediately liked the camping and outdoor vibes. The whole place has that rustic, lodge-style feel that makes it stand out. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.

I've come here several times over the past couple years and it's more and more dead at the restaurant every time. The waitresses are absolutely dreadful. Every request is forgotten or takes 20 mins to arrive at the table. When we arrived we waited 20 mins for a waitress. We asked for some sauce, they forgot. We ordered a pizza, which was delivered to the wrong table. When we wanted to leave, the check took 20 mins as well. Now I have a crying baby and I'm waiting for them to try and split the check two ways and I eventually give up knowing that the task is too much for them to handle and just pay it all on one card. We had to track down the waitresses multiple times. It's like they have NO ability to anticipate the needs of their customers. "They ordered, pizza, maybe I should bring some plates". Nope! "They'll probably want their sauce before the food item is ICE COLD". Nope! Anytime we went into the restaurant the girls were on their phones. There were five tables in the restaurant tonight so there really was no excuse. I think this will be the last time I ever go to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the reputation of the old Congregation Ale House kept me coming back even when time after time, the service was abysmal, however, now that Congregation's former glory is thoroughly tarnished I can honestly say that I will not be coming back and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Quality like this cannot be tolerated. Travis, the former owner, would be ashamed of this fall from grace. R.I.P. Congregation Ale House
