Excellent food and great service, We are visiting from Georgia and took our granddaughter +1 to dinner. It's a basic chain pizza place, but our server made the evening very nice. My wife and I shared a deep dish pizza which was excellent, the grand dot had a burger, and +1 had wings. Everything was great, and we all had extra for lunch the next day. Our server, Sydnee, was terrific! She was helpful with selections, and friendly snd courteous. (Although i did have to mark her down because the pepper grinder was empty, and she didn't bring me a water at the beginning,) she was wonderful. If we ever get back to Missoula in our travels we will visit again as long as Sydnee is there. read more

This place was a life saver as it was located next to my hotel, which the less time on Reserve Street the better IYKYK I got Thin crust tavern style pizza a couple times which was hands down amazing. But the Sicilian Pizza Rolls? Holy cow these where a highlight, cheesy as heck with a hypnotizing flavor you could probably order a couple orders of these and just pig out an be satisfied. Cool spot! My friend brought me here because how good it is! Food was amazing! Restaurant was very rustic and comfortable ambience. Unfortunately, the food took a long time, but the waiter kept us in the loop as far as when food would be coming, and comped us a bit for the long wait. Was in town for game. Always good experiences in Denver at Old Chicago. Not so much in Missoula. First drink was so heavy in mix I couldn't drink it. It's been a long time since I've been to an. Old Chicago. And now I remember why. We were on the road heading home after a family event. It had been a long day already and felt that a little time off the road might be good. Sit down, have a nice meal and go. It took a moment to sit down, but we quickly decided on what to get. The restaurant was about 1/3rd full, so we thought we'd get our order with plenty of time to enjoy it. After our drinks arrived, and orders placed, we waited. And waited. And waited. Our server didn't stop by our table for at least 30 minutes, save to quickly drop off lemon for my water. At 50 minutes, she came by to say our food would be here soon. I looked around and I saw the same look of frustration from other patrons. Seriously, it was not that busy. We were about to stand up and leave at the 1 hour mark when we saw her come with the food. Honestly, we should have left. My wife's chopped salad had chicken that wasn't tender and juicy chunks of chicken. Instead, it was dry and shredded. The look of disappointment said it all. My daughter and I split the grilled rosemary chicken. I can say the sweet potato fries were enjoyable. That's where our sandwich ended. The bread was lightly toasted, so it was dry and flavorless. The cooks in back must have decided that rosemary was an option, because there wasn't any on the chicken at all. If I were the owner of this location, I'd be embarrassed. Finally, my son had the spaghetti and meatballs. It's his favorite meal. Well, it was until he at here. The spices were erratic at best. Too bland in some spots, too spicy in others. When we got our check, out waitress made kind of lame excuse about our experience, which was more of a veiled plea for her tip. As I've worked in hospitality previously, we obliged. But I was very close to not doing so. Overall, Old Chicago, your Missoula location wasted our time and our money. Thankfully, we won't have to patronize your location ever again. Went with a group from work and had a perfect dinner. We were seated right away and it seemed that the drinks, appetizers and then entrees arrived in perfect timing - allowing us time to chat and laugh. Our server was a real pro - offering suggestions and helping one person in our group who had some dietary needs. And then the check came and what a surprise on how economical it was - even with all of ordering dessert too! A great night made even better by this place! We will be back. read more

Stopped in during a quick trip to Missoula on the 12th, always love to stop in here when we're in the area. Waitress was quick with a smile and our drinks, but after that, we did a lot of waiting for our food and even more waiting to get a box and a check. It seemed that a table in the middle of our section, with about six people, was garnishing all the attention. She checked on us more than any server in our past. She was so good my wife stopped the manager to tell him about her. We ordered chicken tenders for takeout yesterday and they came burnt. We called, got a refund, and they offered to remake them -- but the remake was burnt too. They gave us two coupons (a free starter with $5 purchase and a free pint with $5 purchase), but when we came back the next day we were told we couldn't use both at the same time (fine) and then they claimed one was expired -- even though we had just received it the day before. On top of that, the water they served tasted disgusting, and before we even got settled, a random server who wasn't ours came up asking about my baby in a way that felt intrusive. When we questioned the coupon, the staff brushed it off and asked if we were ready to order instead of apologizing. At that point, we walked out. Between the burnt food, misleading coupons, nasty water, and overall attitude from staff, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We won't be back. read more

First time we went it was as just ok. Then again I've had fantastic Italian food in Boston so really not a fair comparison. We just went again. I had fish and chips. The coleslaw was on the dry side. fries weren't great and very little amount of them. The cod wasn't bad though Fried pickles were decent I will say my husbands pizza was pretty good. The macaroni has absolutely no flavor whatsoever and the kids chicken strips are an actual joke. Check the pictures. We got like seven French fries. We ordered 2 ranches and guess what NO RANCH. And to top it off the sprite and the Dr Pepper don't taste anything flipping NEAR Dr Pepper or sprite. How do you mess up soft drinks!!? And you couldn't even take two second to cut the cookie in half or fourths?? Literally wtf!? Might as well just shut this place down. They're not serving edible food. Service was okay. Food tasted great. Ordered the 9" deep dish pan cookie instead of the 6". Looked nothing like the picture. Came out flat, thin and crunchy, not chewy. We asked " do you use the same amount of cookie dough batter for the 9", just a bigger pan." Our waitress said yes and the kitchen probably squished it down and they shouldn't have done that. Well little to say it came out really thin. It sucks they used the same amount of batter for the 6" as they do the 9". You should just get the 6" ($4.99) because you are charged $6.25 for the 9" which the same amount. I also got icecream with it which is fine, except I didn't order it and it's a $1.99 charge. I also need to give a '5' STAR review to our waiter Cole. He was a friendly, funny and caring server who knew Chicago's menus inside and out to answer any questions you may have. We sat in the bar and it was kinda busy. Otto our server was great. Bar assistant gal was awful. Rude and seemed to hate her job. Bar service was good. Beers were cold! After having a few less than great experiences here, I feel I can give an accurate review. We dined here tonight, and were left very unimpressed. From the time we sat down until the time our food was brought to our table was 43 minutes. How do I know the exact time? Well, I had texted my daughter right as we were seated at our booth and then again when our food arrived. My son had made a comment that the food seemed to be taking a long time, but it wasn't until I actually looked at the time that I saw how long it had actually been. Our waitress Kayla was very nice, and I don't blame her at all for the long wait, but I feel she could have been more attentive with keeping our drinks refilled. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant with a clear view of the kitchen, and only ONE person back there preparing the food was wearing a mask. The others were not. I can understand having to wait longer for food on a busy night, but tonight there were very few people in the restaurant and it was not at all busy. In fact, when we were seated at our table, the other tables all had their food already. This is not the first time we've had a long wait here. Every single time we've come it has been the same thing. After giving them several chances, I am pretty sure tonight will be our last time eating at Old Chicago. The food is average and there is nothing on their menu that sets them apart from other restaurants. It is the same issues every time we go: A very long wait and waitresses who aren't attentive. I ordered the doubledekeroni pizza because I had enjoyed 2 of their other pizza creations on 2 separate visits aside from the pizza sauce being too sweet. I like a spicy pizza sauce so why not try it right? It was gross. I ate one bite and didn't eat the rest. I then ordered the regular pepperoni pizza which was good/edible and added crushed red pepper. My bartender/waitress took the whole pizza away before bringing me the 2nd and I told her the truth. That first pizza was terrible. She still charged me the entire price of both pizzas. This sounds like I'm high maintenance but this is the first time I've done that at any restaurant ever and as someone who worked at restaurants for more than 10 years that's just terrible customer service. read more

Originally went to Cracker Barrel but didn't realize the time change on our way to Missoula. Glad we didn't because we ended up here. Server was super nice and food was really good (much better than Cracker Barrel would've been). We got the artichoke & spinach dip (she said it was one of the best she's had, I'm not a fan in general), fish & chips (which were really good and what the server recommended), and a calzone (which she also really enjoyed). When we got the bill, my gf told me the total. I thought the server had forgotten to add something because it was so cheap! (we live in WA). In Missoula for the night before heading south and have been seeing Old Chicago restaurants since getting into the upper Midwest and West - so we tried it. So crowded and found out later there was a concert in town .... But we registered, even though we were told the kitchen was backed up and sat at the bar like a good midwesterner. Bar Staff was great! Friendly, funny, attentive and asked if we wanted to order - we did and glad we did. Pizza was very good and side Caesar salad had too much dressing but romaine still crisp.
