Go here for the games, but skip the pizza. Came here with the family. The kids love an arcade! They loved playing games and getting tickets and then getting their junky candy and trinkets as prizes. We did eat here on our first visit. I ordered a wedge salad and shared a pepperoni and mushroom pizza with my husband. The kids had kids meals. Portions were huge, but the food was pretty unremarkable or worse. The wedge salad was off. I think the lettuce had frozen and then then thawed. After one bite, I decided to stop eating rather than risk food poisoning. The pizza was maybe a step up above Chuck E Cheese? Bland but very greasy/oily. The kids meals had huge portions that neither kid could finish. I had a cocktail that was mostly juice. Very drinkable because it was juice. Thankfully it was a bargain (only $9.99). This place was so cute and fun. It was such a nice stop when visiting the area. I wish we would have had more time to spend here. The people working here were so welcoming and inclusive. They have cool drinks both alcohol and na options and food and lots of old fun games and some newer stuff too. There's a couple different floors of stuff and so much to explore. I even made a little video about it on my Instagram page because it was so unique and perfect fitting in their beautiful downtown area. Fun place to spend a few hours--whether you're with the kids or not. Before 10 p.m., it's a great family spot. My son has a blast playing games and collecting tickets for the little prize toys (even if they only last two minutes, he still has fun!). I'm a sucker for a good barcade! My husband and I typically try to find one every time we travel out of town. Press Start was just down the street from our hotel, so it was a given that we were gonna pay it a visit. One thing that sets Press Start aside from the others is that they have a combination of both new and retro arcade games... A lot of which I haven't seen at other places! The main floor is where you can grab food, sit at the bar or check out the modern machines, while the basement takes you to the 'retro dungeon' - We spent most of our time down there. This place is cool. We are from out of town and our cousins recommended this place as we have two kids. It was a busy wait to get seated for 6. About 30 mins, while we waited we played a few games. I think this place has a higher charge for games compared to Pizza Ranch. It cost like .50¢ to play any game and barely got any tickets. We spend about $60 and barely got like 200 tickets. I dunno, I feel like it's a high cost! I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I didn't know what to expect from an arcade restaurant but the pizza and the kids nuggets and fries were so bomb. They changed the menu since I was there last. Now it's mainly pizzas and fried foods, with no sandwiches or burgers. I was disappointed in that. I ordered the chicken wings. However, I wouldn't call them wings, but rather chicken drummies, as they were breaded and fried instead. The retro games are cool, but they are ordinal, and the screens on some games are at least 40 years old, and hard to see the games. Next time I'd skip the food. read more

Visiting town for a family event, my girlfriend saw an ad for Press Start in a booklet of local things to do from the airport. We decided to eat here. Please, do yourself a favor, and sit at the bar if you actually want service. We sat at a table, and our server, while nice, was the worst. We ordered a couple of cocktails, which took 10 minutes to come out (the bartender eventually brought them out himself, because he didn't want them just sitting around). I enjoyed the Bahama Yo Mama, and the Sugar Rush. Koopa's Kokomelon was OK, but had some unpleasant floral after taste. I also had the peanut butter and jelly shot, and that was surprisingly good. Back to the food though. We ordered the Philly cheese steak, and the chili dog. The food also took forever to come out, probably 15+ minutes. My girlfriend said she saw the Philly sitting on the kitchen counter for 10 minutes, before the chili dog made its appearance. How a Philly cheese steak is finished before a chili dog, is beyond me, but if that's really the case, the kitchen staff needs to communicate with each other, so food comes out at the same time. When someone from the kitchen finally brought our meals out (not our waitress, again...), the chili dog was pretty good. My girlfriend said it was probably the best chili dog she's ever had. The Philly cheese steak and waffle fries, were not satisfying at all. The 10 minute heat lamp bath ruined them; the steak was dry and tough, like beef jerky. Although disappointed, I would still eat here again, but I would definitely sit at the bar, because I watched the bartender going above and beyond for multiple customers, to make up for the poor waitress. We really came here for the games. The main level, is all kids games, that spit out tickets to earn prizes. The basement, AKA the Retro Dungeon, is where they keep all the good stuff. There are probably a dozen pinball machines, 10 shooting games, a few arcade beat 'em ups (including The Simpsons), fighting games (Street Fighter, Soul Calibur), and multiple classics like Pac Man and Dig Dug. I really enjoyed the dark, dingy, atmosphere downstairs; it reminded me of arcades I went to as a kid. There's a bar downstairs too, so feel free to get your drink on, but don't expect the fancy cocktails you get upstairs; the downstairs bartender was reluctant to make me one, because he lacks real fruit juice they have upstairs. This is where I had that delicious PBJ shot instead. Unfortunately, due to the age of the machines, some of them are in disrepair. The Star Wars game was probably the worst; the screen has the Star Wars logo burnt in at this point, and the flight stick was not the most accurate. Hopefully, they reinvest money into their machines, and get them properly refurbished. The Simpsons game was probably the funnest to play, with my non gamer girlfriend. I had forgotten how awesome it is. Overall, I'd definitely visit again. If I eat here, I'd sit at the bar with the stellar service. I know I'd definitely down a few more tasty shots and cocktails. I'd go back downstairs to arcade nirvana, but temper my expectations just a little bit, because some of the machines are older than me. read more

I don't really got anything to say on the drinks cuz I still got a year till I can sip that potion upstairs lol. Nestled between the Oasis and Kōl (Look for the neon Mushroom Sign). In a world where D&B's has become less about the machines it's nice to know their are independent types holding it down. You'll find a nice variety of machines from Guitar Hero to older 80's sit and plays, pinball machines, and ski ball. They have a little bit of everything for everyone... ....to include a full bar, woot-woot! -- Tall Boy cans -- Draft beers -- Mixed drinks -- And shots, shots, shots They're here for a fun and family filled afternoon, or for an imbibing adventure with you and your buds or budettes. We planned to let the kids with us play here for a while and then go to a more upscale place for dinner. However, Nate (the bartender) made such well crafted cocktails--and conversation--that we decided to stay. His old fashioned is one you'd find in a super high end bar....the ice ball and all...for only EIGHT DOLLARS!!! Then I ordered the Zelda's Potion. It was magical and delicious. Nate obviously takes pride in his work. When it was time to order food, I was expecting typical bar food...nope. Everything we ordered was outstanding. Elevated bar food! WOW! Walking in here is like stepping back to the 1980's! I'm half expecting to see girls with, "high hair" and guts wearing parachute pants! This reminds me of all the great arcades I spent so much time in when I was in my late teens and early 20's. Before they all went the way of the Dodo! All the classics are here and all are .25 and .50 cents to play! Asteroids, Dig Dug, Missile Command, Galaga, Punch Out, Joust, Tempest, Qbert, etc. Plus lots of the classic pinball machines! Oh and there is also a bar. I went two nights in a row and probably spent a total of five hours playing video games all for about $20 in quarters. I wish I had a place like this back home! read more

The staff was very RUDE! went here with my family and had a horrible experience. Took forever to get our food, half of the arcade machines didn't work and stole our money. got up to play some games after eating, before we got desert, and while we were up the waitress took it upon herself to box our food up and put someone on our table. We threw away our food because she touched it with her bare hands. The ticket machine malfunctioned and took about half our tickets and when we pointed it out to the staff they walked away from us. We were so disappointed yesterday 4/24. We were told it would be an hour for a table. I went to see where we were on the list. No one was at the counter and 2 young ladies were helping at rewards counter. There was a young lady with red dyed hair, looked at me, I started to talk and she said "I'm helping someone over here" and turned away. The other young lady did come over and tell me it would be at least another 1/2 hr. We sat at the bar and I saw 1 table cleaned and nobody sat there the whole time we waited. Tables continued to be cleaned and I saw only one table actually get seated. We left and ate somewhere else. I spent well over a $100 without even having food. We engaged in a real decent conversation about life and society. This place is pretty fun, albeit pricey. Most machines cost .50 to play, if not more. The staff was very friendly, the space was very clean, and not too loud, as I was sort of expecting. Decent beer selection, (maybe 7 taps?) 22 oz pours, and a full cocktail bar as well. If they threw in some complimentary popcorn, there's a good chance I would spend way too much money there. Visiting this place is like stepping into a time machine back to the 80's. It's dark and noisy, just like the arcades I remember from my childhood, minus the constant haze of cigarette smoke. The fact that the have a full bar only add to the awesomeness. And with choices like Schlitz, PBR, and Hamms on tap, what's not to love. They have microbrews and cocktails too, but so does everywhere else, you owe it too yourself to have a Schlitz and a shot of Beam while your here. There must be at least 40 games here, everything from Dig Dug to Gauntlet, to Pinball. They also rotate games occasionally. Most games cost only a quarter, some are 50 cents. Cool games but every time you go in that one died and there are others to replace them. Pizza was alright, cheese was too heavy and couldn't eat pizza with one hand...it all just slides off and you have thin greasy crust. Maybe if they get the cheese crust ratio right...
