Came here for the tour and tasting with a group of people and we really enjoyed ourselves. The tour was quick, probably about 20-25 minutes long and I thought was cool that they take you through the entire process all the way up to when they put the whiskey in bottles. I also liked that the tour ends with a tasting and allows you to taste every that it's distilled there, not just a few things. The Vodkas were good as was the whiskey, I'm not a fan of Gin, but even that wasn't bad. The old fashioned was really good and the bar even as beer if you not a fan of liquor. They also have a roof top bar/patio which was fun, and they let you bring in your own food which is convenient since Gus's is directly across the street. My boyfriend and I enjoyed every bit of the tour! As a Memphis native who's just moved back, I've been exploring and rediscovering Memphis and I wanted to introduce this experience to my boyfriend who's from Atlanta. Every single person, employee and patron alike, were all so kind. We were running behind schedule and called the distillery beforehand and spoke with our tour guide, Courtney, who let us know that we'll be caught up on whatever we miss and that we could still enjoy the tour when we arrive. We were greeted by MJ who was very personable and made sure we caught up with our group. Courtney was well informed and kept us engaged the whole tour with her high energy and smile! The facility was clean, easy to navigate, and in a great location where we were still close to our hotel, Beale Street, plenty of restaurants for our post tour munchies, and so many more Memphis staples. This gift shop was fully packed and we decided to leave with a bottle of Toddy and some Bourbon Pecan ice cream. Everything was a 10/10! Visited 3 time the last 2 years and said I'd never go back after the second time lol.. well I went again today for the first time since my last tragic experience. Hoping the third time would be a charm. NOT. Bar wasn't even half full and yet my drink sat empty nearly 15 minutes before the bartender asked if I wanted another. He was so busy chatting with guys on the other side of the bar. Even though I had hoped to get another drink I decided NOPE. Such terrible, inattentive service here. Another thing that I find irritating is their website says happy hour is 4-7 PM... don't specify what days of the week. I found out today (Friday), when I got my bill, that it's only Monday-Thursday. This is a great option for something to do in Memphis. Plus it is right next to Gus's World famous fried chicken, which is a must! If I were you, I would go to Gus's right before it opens (11AM) and schedule beforehand (a week or a few days before visiting) a distillery tour for 12:30/1PM after you eat lunch. I found the distillery tour on Groupon and I'm definitely glad I bought it! It was easy to book a tour online. I was surprised many dates were already sold out. The tour was very informative and interesting. Afterwards, you get to sample 3 different drinks. Overall, it took about 1 hour. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. I know this distillery is still getting its feet on the ground, but they have some work to do. My husband, brother-in-law, and I took the tour of the distillery a few weekends ago, and it was all right. Our tour guide was a dear, but I was a bit confused about the story and timeline of the distillery. The story of this distillery is a bit convoluted (but very interesting), and it was hard to get a grasp of what they're currently making (they haven't had enough time to age anything yet) and what they're going to be distilling in the future. Right now they make vodka, flavored (citrus) vodka, and a "Memphis Toddy" (the Memphis Toddy was completely new to me, and learning about its history was the coolest thing about the tour!). The Memphis Toddy is kind of a flavored high-rye bourbon (tastes like a hot toddy - citrus and spices), but it was unclear to me if they distilled the high-rye bourbon as they haven't been in existence long enough for the high-rye bourbon to age. There was some conversation about them currently aging something in barrels in the building; it was my impression that we were discussing Tennessee Whiskey. It wasn't clear to me how many years they plan on aging it before it start to sell. She also hinted that they may be making gin in the near future. The tour was okay; if you've never been on a distillery tour before, you'll learn a lot. If you've been on any before, you probably won't learn anything new (they just give you the basics), but you'll get to tour the facility. And the facility is beautiful. Really. It's very modern and definitely a looker. (There's a rooftop patio with a bar that I can see being really popular in the summer and for events.) The bar and the booze. Given that they only make vodka, flavored vodka, and their "Memphis Toddy," they don't have a lot of options when it comes to their beautiful bar. But I was surprised by just HOW limited the bar was. Not even a full bar of mixers. They offer four cocktails. And then I was surprised by the quality. EGG WHITES FROM A BOX. Just don't make a drink with egg whites!!!! I've never seen that before. And (since this happened twice in a single day in Memphis) dried cherries in a cocktail might be a Memphis thing, but it shouldn't be. All in all, the bar is BEAUTIFUL. Stunning even. But the drinks are not. If you don't like vodka, I don't recommend you do this tour or tasting. They just haven't had enough time to mature liquors yet, so they're stuck with vodka and flavored vodka (and the Memphis Toddy) for the meantime. They should probably consider having a cocktail menu that lives up to the beauty of that bar, though! read more

We did the distillery tour here and had a good time learning about the process and history of the distillery. They had a flight of all their spirits at the end which was fun. The guide was knowledgeable and funny, which is always a perk when it comes to tours. They have a nice store in the distillery and a bar that serves signature cocktails as well as your stand bar drinks. A side effect of our visit here is that we also want to check out the Grey Canary, which is visible during some of the tour. read more

Next to Graceland, this was the coolest thing I did in Memphis. The people who work here are super nice; the southern hospitality is in full effect. I did not do the tour, and instead decided to sit at the bar. In the adjacent room there is a gift shop, and i noticed they had a limited edition 8 yr bourbon. Only 700 bottles were made and the price tag was steep at $75 a bottle. Due to my hesitation, I asked around to see who has tried it. A guy named Ben assured me that the profile of the spirit was very smooth and not what you would expect from a 8 yr old spirit (I.e I would expect it to be super rough and peppery.) They didn't serve it onsite so took his word for it and bought it. And sure enough... This old Dominick is one of the best bourbons I've ever tasted. Worth the coin because it's rare. I then resumed my seat at the bar and tried they're Memphis Toddy (basically a hot toddy) which I also enjoyed. If you like vodka they have a couple of those too; one infused with honeybell and another that's straight vodka. The one with honeybell was not bad at all; if I had to drink vodka I could roll with that. The dark spirits are their stock and trade and you should definitely check them out! read more

We went here since we were at Gus's and the server said they are great. How right she was. This is relatively new joint since they are not opened two years ago when we visited Memphis. It's a distillery and a bar. I enjoyed all their spirits especially their toddy with spices. We got the tour and our guide skate was fantastic. Lot of history to the place.
