I have driven by this place 100's of time. For whatever reason I just thought this place was small and stodgy. WRONG. We finally went last night and it was very big inside and bright. And very popular. I ordered the poke bowl entre' and it was fantastic. My G/F ordered a Caesars salad with chicken and loved it. Service was very friendly and always there when we needed him. So bizarre. We will recommended here after doing a audio interview. When we arrived we didn't realize that we had already been here before. When I checked in yelp reminded me that we had once dined here. I vaguely remembered. The appetizers were fried Conch which were really good. I ordered the steak sandwich which was really dry. I am a Conch Fritter snob. I have analyzed conch fritters from all over south Florida to learn what goes into the perfect recipe. The fritters at Old Florida were near perfection. (There can always be more conch in a conch fritters! ). The fritters arrived hot with the perfect cornmeal texture. There was a fair amount of conch and a few small veggie bits for flavor and texture. I didn't try the sauces served with the fritters, they didn't need sauce. They were absolutely delicious! We also had the flatbread special- chicken, artichoke and pesto. Not our favorite. The flatbread was not crisp and it felt like the cheese had been sitting on it for awhile and then they just sprinkled a few pieces of diced chicken and artichokes on the top. My husband ordered the crispy grouper sandwich. We fish and love grouper. It was crispy but it was the thinnest piece of grouper which made us think it might not be grouper..........but It was tasty. There are quite a few things to like about this place. It has a nice outside bar, not fancy but nice and a very pleasant dining rooms. Quite clean, presentable and informal but fun. They have a fairly expansive menu heavy on fish and pub food. The portions are very large bordering on overly generous. Most important it tastes good. Very hard to get a bad meal here from app to sandwich to entree to dessert it's great. They will also cook up your fresh catch if you want. Wait staff is very pleasant and get the job done but they are busy so you aren't getting sick b second response times here which is more than OK. The location Is a bit hidden off of Indian town road but there's is plenty of parking and well worth the visit read more

Seafood (and more) Old Florida is what you think of when you think of Florida and seafood. The only thing missing is that it is not sitting on the water unfortunately. I hit the bar for some libations and a bit to eat, as I normally do. The bartender was super quick and efficient at getting me going on the cocktail and she was super helpful with suggestions as I looked the menu over. Food order (Shrimp Po'boy) came out pretty quick and the portion was definitely large enough for my fat self. Shrimp were fried perfectly and the fixins were fresh. The Roll was mediocre at best. Fries were a nothing-special frozen type and came out nice and hot. The place has a pretty good sized dining room inside, and a nice seating area / courtyard on the side. The inside was a little too brightly lit for my taste with some nautically themed decoration around the walls. All in all a solid 3-star, seafood-centric restaurant with good prices and a nice and helpful staff. Parking in the rear. Give it a go read more

We have frequented this place for several years and always positive. Tonight it was quite busy (all good) and were advised a 15-20 minute wait. All good. The wait list was growing as more folks arrived. After 30 minutes and watching people get seated that came after us we questioned the receptionist. The policy is they sit 4+ groups in advance of parties of 2. The manager came and advised that was his policy. Another couple was behind us but plenty of 4+ waiting. At that rate we would never be seated in a fair amount of time. We were polite and advised we were locals and regulars. He advised so were everyone else and policy was policy. So disappointed. And honestly - he ha no concern. Sad. When business gets slow I guess we will be welcomed back. read more

Food was very good, prices are super reasonable, staff is kind and helpful. My husband and I went on a Saturday night around 7pm. We actually tried a few spots first but they had 2 hr waits and we stumbled upon this place after seeing it from the road. Plus they only had a 5-10 min wait for two. All socially distant guidelines were being followed and I was so happy to see wait staff cleaning the tables after each guest. Our server was young but very attentive. It's a very casual environment but a nice mixed of folks and we easily could've hung around for another hour if we wanted to. They had a giant fan going which was wonderful in the heat and created a nice breeze between the buildings. We are glad we found this little gem so close. We got the conch appetizer, coconut encrusted snapper and blackened grouper (a special). They had many great looking specials and entrees on the menu, it was hard to choose but definitely very happy with the quality of the fish and how it was cooked. I can't stand overcooked fish and the chef didn't even come close to that! I would certainly order it again but there's so much great stuff on the menu, can't wait to try more! read more
