I visited this hobby shop for the first time back in February of 2000. This is when I became…read moreinterested in the world of Gundam- both the animation and the model kits. This store not only had a good selection of Gundam model kits, but also of other Japanese animation series kits. Also, the owner is a very courteous person and offers discounts on all items. There is a display case that features customers built models, a magazine rack that contains many hobby magazines and a good selection of all types of kits. Some examples are classic ships, battleships, spaceships, monster kits, airplanes and of course cars. They sell Aurora Model Motoring cars and parts and also train sets, cars and lots of train set layout scale buildings and people. It is worth a trip to check out the eclectic stock of items at this little shop. They seem to carry items that other shops do not have. That's what makes trips to different hobby shops fun. You never know what you may find that they do not make anymore, and West Point Hobby just might have some of these things. I missed out on 4 kits that I should have bought, plus a neat Chessie Sytem train set that looked tempting. And suffice it to say, I can't even find them now on Ebay! Stop by when you have the time!
