This is a nice looking place. Very industrial cool. It is also quite large and very noisy. We were there during the day, so it wasn't packed, but I can only imagine what a big night crowd would be like. My husband and I had to nearly yell back and forth to hear each other across the table. The food was good. We had fish and chips and a burger. As we are not particularly beer drinkers, we probably won't be back, unless we are entertaining beer fans. This place is delicious, but watch out because parking can be absolutely atrocious around here. As for the important stuff, the food is pretty good! The pretzel braids were very fresh when I ordered them and so were the chicken wings. My favorite part about this place is that they have a chicken wing flavor of the week... so every week, they have a special sauce. My boyfriend ordered an OIB burger and absolutely loved it. I tried this, as well, and the Applewood smoked bacon on here was amazing. I'm a HUGE bacon fan, so honestly, your whole menu can suck, but if you have Applewood smoked bacon, you automatically are rated higher in my opinion. As for drinks, I have tried their Liquid Jazz beer, which is a Nitro stout, and it's delicious and smooth. I will definitely be back here sometime soon, but again, I just hate having to deal with the awful parking situation. There is NOT plenty of street parking because many streets around here are permit parking. The ambience of this place is great. Staff all seems very personable, and the exposed brick makes the place look great. There are very high ceilings, and it is overall a comfortable atmosphere. Blood Storm was a good unfiltered beer you should definitely try it. We have been here a few times and the staff is always friendly. They came out with a new release, Trending, which is a double NEIPA. It's pretty good. It's is smooth and high in alcohol content. 8% to be precise, but it was amazing. My husband and I came here looking for some good food and great beer. The waitress was real knowledgeable in her suggestions, the milk stout was tasty but unfortunately, all of the other beers I tasted sounded amazing on paper, but just so-hum on the pallet. We ordered 2 plates the salmon and the mussles. The salmon was AMAZING! I highly recommend it.... but the $18 mussles bowl in broth was overcooked. I tried one and wanted to spit it out, my husband tried the second and had a mutual feeling. When our waitress came by to check on us, we asked for the check.... the salmon was devoured, the beers were slowly being drunk and the mussles weren't touched. She asked if we wanted a Togo for the mussles. We explained that they were over cooked and did not taste good. Her response "oh! Well you had a lot of food already?!?!?" What? We split a dinner of salmon??? How is that a lot of food for two grown adults? We should'be asked for a refund, but at that point we just wanted out. Overall, good atmosphere, has potential of a good meal or beer but I wouldn't come looking for an amazing experience all Around. This was a really pleasant surprise but it shouldn't have been given two different friends recommended it. The space was spacious, had a second (dining) room and also some tables in the back with the tanks. Nice layout and feel. Josh, the bartender, was tremendous. He was passionate about what they do and spent a considerable time with us talking about beers - both theirs and in general. I have a few tasters - sour, IPA, and the Bock. All were definitely beers I'd get again. Being a little more picky about IPA's I have to say I was impressed with their offering. As for the food - we just had a couple appetizers and I would put them in the okay but not great category. read more

We quickly found seats at the bar on Valentine's Day which was great! I'm a little sad we had dinner reservations elsewhere because all of the food being served here smelled delicious and looked so good. Next time! My husband and I shared a flight of beer and I had a Right Bee cider. Their beer selection isn't the biggest, but they offer a lot of variety with what they do brew. I wasn't a fan of the Right Bee cider because it turns out that it has stevia in it. Why the honey isn't enough or why they need to add additional sweetener in it is beyond my understanding. All I could taste was that fake sugar taste lingering in my mouth. However, this product does not belong to Old Irving so I can't dock any points from them. The Beer Knees and push hops were amazing! Beer enthusiasts will surely love this place and the selection of beers although I've had a hit or miss with some of the drinks. The food selection is great here too. The fried zucchini, BLT, burger, and Mac & cheese were delicious. This place is a lot more modern and fresh compared to some of the older, more traditional, hole-in-the wall restaurants in the area. I especially like the wide open windows and natural lighting that help to open up the space. The service is attentive and well-informed of the menu. I've been here twice now, and between my boyfriend and I we have tried the spicy chicken sandwich, burger, mussels, and octopus. You cannot go wrong with a burger, and the fries are perfectly thick and crispy. The seafood options were also both very fresh, cooked well, and very light compared to the meatier options. I would have liked if the mussels had a much heavier, savory seasoning on them. They were delicious and evidently fresh, but the flavor got a bit monotonous. I've tried the wings twice now, which have rotating flavors, but both times I thought the flavors were just mediocre. read more

Ive been told by a regular that this Northwest side warehouse has a rotating beer and food menu. Since I'm in a festive spirit, I ordered a Krumpus cookie and krumpus cookie beer taster. Decent beer portion considering it was $4, for a dark milk stout. The Krumpus cookie penne cotta were chocolate chip cookies with syrup and 2 small white jello molds. Defintely a sweet treat paired well with my stout. A friend ordered waffle fries that looked like loaded nachos. Right amount of spicyness. Good for groups, family friendly atmosphere. My group of friends and I visited this brewery on a Saturday night. This was not my first visit, but it was my friends' first visit. I am sorry I brought them here. When we sat down it took an extremely long time for anyone to come for our table. We saw the waitress arguing with some other employee, saying she didn't want to take our table because she already had too many tables. Eventually, what appeared to be the hostess came over to take our orders. She then disappeared for a while. Eventually another employee gave us the check and we paid. On our way out, the second waitress/hostess appeared, and accused of paying without leaving. Nice! Beer was ok, not worth the terrible service. read more

The food and beer was great, but the main staff was terrible. The front staff was unnecessarily rude when we were trying to put our name in for a table. We were a larger group, but reservations aren't allowed so we did our best to be flexible with our seating arrangements. The host would not seat us even if our table was ready until the whole group was there. We had a few people who weren't able to get there at the same time as the rest of the group. The host and manager refused to be accommodating even though they understood our dilemma. Again we were a large group, but most of the dining room was empty at the time we were asking to also take a table next to us. They told us no even though we promised we would have enough people to fill the table in less than a half hour. We were then told we could stand at the bar while we waited for our table, but were ushered from one side of the bar to the other after ordering which caused a lot of attitude from the bartender due to our shift in location. We then got our text alert for our table, but spent 25 minutes trying to flag down the same bartender to close out our tab who had completely forgotten our order. I finally had to go to the front to request someone take our money so that we could sit at our table. The waitress and waiter we had while sitting were much kinder and helpful, but the initial impressions were rough. I'm not one to usually rate a place on staff if the food and beverages are good. It just seemed very unnecessarily rude for our group who was incredibly respectful, flexible, and excited to try a local brewery. Disappointed is an understatement. read more

I had my first visit here this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised! As I was getting out of the Uber, a fellow rider said "oh, I've heard great things about this place!". So naturally I was hyper skeptical about this girl's tastes. "We'll see if she was lied to..." I thought. Now to the business! Dinner: I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The menu said that it came with seasonal veggies. I asked the waitress what those were at the moment- she said green beans and carrots. That's not what I got lol my chicken and mashed potatoes came with...fried sweet potatoes and yellow potatoes. But you know what? I freaking love potatoes so I was actually in heaven. It also comes with "honey" which looks like tar oddly enough but goes so well with the chicken. I'm not generally a honey person but this was delish. Now the chicken was the BEST. Crisp on the outside, flavorful, not dry. I was loving this meal. It comes with three pieces which means... LEFTOVERS! I reluctantly stopped eating because I wanted to save room for the beer! (But I was very excited to take some home to have later for second dinner.) Beer: I got a flight and I will just talk about my least favourite and my favourite. Save the best for last, shall I? If you like sour, pink beers then the Salty Cranma is DEFINITELY for you. I needed a beer to finish my flight and I wish I had just stopped at 5 beers. VERY tart for me (I don't like sour beers though). Now the best, IMO- Turtleneck Sweater Latte. Very smooth, very flavourful, AND such an adorable name. How could you not be into this? This place must of opened up recently cause there is usually NO activity here, but it was so nice to see lots of parked cars in this neighborhood. The interior in this place is HUUUUGE. There is lounge place with dining once you walk it. This is much more dim than the other room we were seated in. The room we were seated in was brightly lit, long game in the room, view of the brew tanks, lots of tvs, and wood tables. Our waiter was THE BOMB. He is super friendly, attentive, and funny. This has got to be best service I have ever received. He was waiting for me to put my glass of water down to refill WHILE I was drinking it. Alright dude, you are just STELLAR. Food, we got Ninja Waffle Fries which was really good. I just wish the egg was very runny because it was almost a knock off of poutine ish. I got the Old Irving Burger which was delicious! They even had a little stick on my burger to make sure it was cooked medium rare. I absolutely love the staff here, environment, space, atmosphere. Best of all, it is right by me! Went here with my wife and our 2 friends with their baby. My friend thought we should try it out so we did. It's pretty much your typical looking brewery. Except since it's a restaurant, they have areas to dine too. There is a bar when you first come in and the dining area is in the back. It was clean and servers are really nice. (Why this gets 2 stars.) The food and beer are both equally terrible here. Sorry, it just is. I got a burger, my wife got the mac n cheese appetizer, we got wings another burger and the fries that they put kimchi on. It was all just not tasty. Very underwhelming. As for the beer, we tried everything from stouts, to ciders and all the beer tastes like it was brewed by a 3 year old. Just not good food or beer. When you can go to a brewery and not drink and can't wait for your next visit.... the food must be good, and the food here is great! I had a craving for a burger so my yelpers saved the day, it was late on Saturday night around 9 p.m. or so, it was busy but we were seated almost immediately. We shared a OIB signature burger and started with the burrata app. Upon the first bite of the burger I cursed myself for not getting my own. The food came out lightening fast and hot, and was so delicious, the bun for the burger was so light, airy and flaky and almost like a croissant, the burger had a unique sweetness that was surprisingly amazing and the fries were spot on. I noticed that the burget didn't come with any "fixings" lettuce, tomato, onion on the side but hardly missed them. The burrata app was really tasty, served with pickled melon and beautiful heirloom tomatoes and an herbed crostini that was delish even on it's own. as I write this my mouth is watering and I can't wait to make it back, for my own burger this time :) read more

I loved the beer here. Man, they are brewing some gems for sure. Their Scentinel IPA is my kind of beer - west coast style IPA with a clean finish. One of the better beers I've run into of late. We also went with the Peach Out Imperial IPA which comes in at a whopping 9% ABV. Infused with "copious amounts of peach juice" it really didn't have a strong peach flavor (thankfully) but tasted more of a citrus note. Really good. Then we opted for the Rat Pack, a Belgian Dubbel at a mere 7%. I wasn't driving so keep pouring. Ha. It had notes of orange and cherry and was one of my favorites. We decided sandwiches were in order and I elected the OIB burger with grilled red onions, bacon and cheddar cheese. It was good but not remarkable. My wife chose the chicken sandwich with bacon, onion jam, and goat cheese. Also good but not remarkable. The option to sub a salad for fries is nice. I kept the fries and they were institutional fries - uniformly cut into 2 inch pieces. I much prefer hand cut. Especially when a burger is $14. But, the space is huge and incredibly well done. A cozy bar, great bartenders who provided exceptional service, and outstanding beer makes this a solid 4 star place. read more

Love this place and we are very lucky to have a close by our new home. Pretty good selection of their craft beer. And the three or four times we've been there the food has been absolutely delicious. Especially the burgers. All of our servers and bartenders have been pretty kind and enthusiastic. Great for the neighborhood. Hopefully they continue the great service and beers.
