Lamb Shawarma Dinner and Shish Tawook Dinner

First time trying this restaurant tucked in the corner right next to Molly tea! We were the first to be seated right at opening on a weekday at 4:30pm and soon after it already was getting busy. It took the waiter a while to get our order due to it getting busy but the waiters were both really nice and the food was definitely worth the wait! The chicken was our favorite and was super fragrant and tender. We also loved the hummus! The lamb was also good and tasted really good mixed with all the other ingredients. Will be back!

Tried this place with a bunch of girls. The place has great Mediterranean food, good seating and ambiance. Felt like they were horribly understaffed the day we went, because one person was trying to run around and being patient. He was great, tried to keep us engaged throughout but the food was a bit delayed. Overall, food tasted good but the pita was disappointing. It got pretty rubbery very quick. That was disappointing and overall felt a bit expensive too!

We are visiting from Florida and were walking to an Italian restaurant when we spied this little restaurant and changed our mindset on the type of food we wanted. I am SO glad we stopped here! We were quickly and eagerly greeted and seated. Before ordering, a complimentary small bowl of lentil soup, pita bread and garlic dressing were offered. We ordered the Fool Moudamas appetizer, the favorite kabob - Shish Tawook (chicken) and the Lamb Shish Kabob. All the food was cooked to perfection, loaded with garlic in the best way and very delicious! The restaurant is bright and modern, sitting at the corner of 2 roads so there are large windows to sit in. I laughed at the free mouth wash station in the bathroom but it truly is a kind gesture as they do not skimp on the garlic. I highly recommend this restaurant!

A huge fan of their dressing!!!

Still solid, and even better now. The only thing I didn't really enjoy here was the previous versions of tumeric rice, the grains were too large, sometimes too chewy and/or dry. It used to be a chore to finish the rice (not the type that likes to waste food). Those issues are completely gone now (at least in the last 3 visits). A thing I always really look forward to is one of the most basic things. The salad dressing, might be my top 3 favorite of alltime. Also, their veggies always are crisp and fresh to the bite. Hummus is always tasty, soup thick with lentil. But yea...having the simple side salad is a requirement for any meal here. The meats are good, the seasoning great. Not much inflation in pricing is also appreciated. The restaurant has always been quaint, and now with table lighting adds a bit more romance to it all. Love it.

Fav Lebanon cuisine in Bellevue! They give free pita with dipping sauce and soup! The proportion is large they said the signature recipe is over 100 years!

The stars on this place is spot on! Man it was so close to perfect. First the service is really good. I think the owner honestly loves the food that gets served and that translate to really good food. I was amazed at the flavor profile. I loved the vibrant taste and extravagant use of garlic in al the dishes. We even brought our 1 year old here and she loved a lot of the food even some of the more flavorful ones. I think I can echo that some of the grilled meat can be a little dry or rough. I do think that might just be the cut of meat that is used and maybe that's how it might taste? But I have faith that with some different meat cuts those can come out a lot juicier. Even at 4 stars, I do suggest anyone reading this to go check this place out. Its definitely a party of flavors.

What an awesome find! I asked for recommendations from my vegan friend and he suggested this place. It did not disappoint! They have an entire vegan section on the menu. My friend always gets 1 thing though... the falafel. He said its one of the best he's ever had and I agree. They do a fantastic job. To start, they give you some pita and some tangy dressing to dip it in. Sounds weird but it was fantastic! The dressing sort of reminds me of a thick italian dressing. They also give you some lentil soup which was good as well. Lamb Shawarma (5): Since I'm no longer vegan, I went with the Lamb Shawarma. It was delicious! I honestly feel that any of the other shawarma varieties would be equally as good. The sauce they use mixed with the caramalized onions and veggies just make this a winner. Perfect to throw in a pita or eat it straight with the rice. One of the best shawarma's I've had! I have to mention their portion size. It's amazing and should fill any human being. All of us took to-go boxes and feel that it will be good for another entire meal. If you don't like to take things to-go, its great for sharing. Overall, we liked everything that we tried and I feel confident in exploring the menu. Smallish dining area but it wasn't crowded at all during lunch and staff was friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Dinner started out with complimentary lentil soup along with bread and a lemon dressing on the side. The cauliflower was amazing in the Mezza plate. Overall plate was a great variety and was very enjoyable and great to share for our table of 4. Beef Noodle had an amazing flavor profile. Portions are very generous here and one dish can easily be shared between two people. Vegan falafel was enjoyed by my friend. Easy parking nearby. 2 bathrooms, both very clean. Overall ambiance is good. This place would make great for take out, a date, or just a nice sit down dinner with a friend. Food came out quick and service was good.

4.5 stars awesome food and service with reasonable price . We had beef shawarma which is very flavorful and fragrant of the spices. The portion is large. Combination kabob is a mixed of grilled chicken, grilled ground beef stick and lamb. Love the smokiness of the kabob. Hummus served with the kabob dish is one of the best I've had. Highly recommend.

I've been coming to old Meridian kitchen on for close to 10 years now. I used to absolutely love their vegan dishes and my family used to love their dishes as well. I recall my vegan dish having more diversity of vegetables and better sauce/flavor. These last two times that I've came my vegan dish the most expensive vegan one at over $20 a plate. comes with sautéed vegetables that reminds me of fajitas however, of the vegetables 60% is onion. And the rice is I don't know? It's yellow maybe like a pilof? I think the dish would be better served with basmati or a jasmine lentil blend maybe even brown rice.As for the sauce that they drizzle on top of the vegetables, it seems to have gotten worse overtime. I feel like it used to be a creamy tahini garlic and now it's like a runny watery zest. As much as I've loved this place, as nice as the service was, as cute as the restaurant is, I just can't give it a good rating because you go there for food and the food was disappointing in every single way. Even The pitas were not good. They weren't soft warm and fluffy. It didn't come with any hummus. It came with this salad dressing. the family members were not pleased with their lamb Shawarma or beef Shawarma either. all stating they were dry and same complaint with the veggies, not diverse, mostly onions. I'm sad to write this disappointing review. All I can say is that if you love onions, you should probably come here otherwise might as well go across the street to garlic crush. My recommendation to the owners is to please revamp your menu.

    Chicken Shawarma - Dinner
    Sarah H.

I enjoyed the complimentary lentil soup, pita, and garlic vinaigrette. We split the chicken shawarma between two people and finished it. The portions are BIG, a really good price for what you get. The dish also looked and tasted great. We also went on a weekend and found that it fills up pretty quick in a pretty small space.

I dined in today for a date night on a weekday evening, and I usually don't write day-of reviews unless I'm very impressed with a restaurant (which, spoiler alert, this is my new favorite Mediterranean place by far). I didn't know this place was here until a couple months ago, and I wish I had found it earlier because wow, was it super good. I really liked the vibes of the restaurant, and this is a great place for casual and incredibly tasty dining. We were greeted and seated immediately, and after we sat down, we got some delicious lentil soup and pita bread with a dipping sauce. I've been wanting soup for the past couple of weeks, and this lentil soup definitely hit the spot. The flavor was so good, and I tried some of the pita bread with the soup and the dipping sauce (and couldn't decide which I liked better because they were both so good). I ordered the Beef Noodle after struggling to decide which dish to get. This was my first time trying Mediterranean noodles and I was definitely missing out before. The dish was also jam packed with flavor, and each bite did not disappoint. I loved all the spices, and the portion size was also huge. We got four pitas over the course of the meal, and when we were requesting boxes to take our leftovers to go, they asked us if we wanted a couple additional pitas to go. I was floored by their generosity; I've never been able to take home food that wasn't already on my plate. I'm already planning what food I'll order the next time I come here. Until then, I'm excited to finish my leftovers (two full portion sizes' worth of leftovers).

    Lip smacking Mediterranean chicken.

Some I needed a place to connect with old friends and we stumbled upon this fantastic Mediterranean delight. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing, wonderful fusion of flavors and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

I can say the meat looked like high quality and tasted great! The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I personally wasn't a huge fan of the banchan (side dishes) that were offered. There was salad, that had like the full bottom parts of lettuce in it, there was onions in some kind of sauce, kimchi, just not a lot of things I personally like to eat. I would say their banchan definitely leans more towards Asian clientel, so if you go with someone who is a picky eater or not super familiar with asian/korean food, then just be aware of that I'd say. Overall though, I would say come here for the high quality meat! The service was good, but personally, I just won't be returning. But that's not my style so here I go... First off, the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant as you immediately step inside is spectacular. It's elegant but with a casual feel. Or maybe it was its casual with an elegant vibe... either way, you cannot go wrong. Depending on the time of day, if the wait is long, I'd suggest grabbing a drink from the full bar. Once seated, we ordered our drinks and headed over to the salad bar/cold cuts and grabbed some select items. I'm always careful to not overload on the trimmings as I'm here for the various cuts of meats. Pretty simple process. You flip your marker (green) over for cuts of meat being offered and over again (red) if you want to enjoy your meal. Then on and off again. The skewers of meat are divine, ranging from bacon wrapped chicken, to sausages, to a variety cuts and cooked beef, pork, or lamb. I opted for a 6oz. Lobster tail dripping in succulent butter, as well! Such an amazing experience! Thank you to the staff of Fogo and all of the chefs... hats off to you! As always, enjoy and Happy Sampling!

Fogo de Chão has officially entered its flop era…read more We usually come for the full churrasco experience, but on our last visit, we were practically begging for scraps. You'd think the gauchos were personally rationing the beef for winter...we were lucky if we managed to flag down three measly slices of meat all evening. Since the skewers were treating us like ghosts, we decided to order the dry aged steak that's supposedly sized for four people. Total fiction. What arrived was barely enough to satisfy two mildly hungry toddlers. Getting anything to the table took an eternity...drinks, side dishes, basic eye contact, yet the second we finished eating, the bill appeared at Olympic sprint speed. Truly unmatched efficiency when it's time to swipe the card. To top off the premium priced misery, the women's restroom was an absolute disaster zone. At this point, paying top dollar for neglect, false meat promises, and dirty restrooms is a hard pass. There are far better places to drop this kind of cash. We won't be back.
