We went for AYCE lunch regular with 4 people, one of us had a birthday so we got the 1 free meal with a part of 4. Our first round order we ordered 4 types of meat and it was plenty of food for us 4 plus veggies. The service was attentive and very friendly. We enjoyed our meal in comfort! The decorations were clean. Going at a weekday lunch is very relaxed with limited customers. Note the sauce bar is extra $3/person. Soup is also extra per person. The sauce bar includes desserts so it's worth it if you're looking for fruits, appetizers and dessert.

Stopped by again on a Saturday night with a reservation at 7pm for 8 people. I usually love this spot and the service but it didn't quite live up to previous visits. I'm giving 3 stars because I love the food and have only had great experiences in the past, but this last dinner was not a great representation. First, you cannot add a party larger than 6 people to the waitlist which I totally understand! The site tells you to contact the restaurant for large parties so I called but it sent me to an automated message asking for my zip code and a PIN number, which I don't have. There is no way to join the waitlist if you are a large group and the phone is not picked up, which is a bit stressful. I finally just added us to the waitlist as a party of 6 and wrote that it would be 8 people and left my number. They called me within a few minutes and set a reservation for 7. We didn't get seated until after 7:30, which was a bit annoying but I understand is not totally their fault. Second, they have changed from using menus and paper to fill out to using iPads at each table. Great in theory as the order gets sent directly to the kitchen, but it made it hard to order with a large group as only two people could look through the menu and order at a time and you could only order 1 broth. Along with this, you can only place an order every 25 minutes (i think?). I think that this would be great for smaller tables or for less busy nights, but because we didn't order with our server, we didn't know multiple plates that we had been waiting on were out of stock. I think they could benefit from a few more employees on weekends and maybe an outdoor waiting area so that the entrance doesn't get packed shoulder to shoulder as people wait! This experience won't prevent me from returning because I love the food so much, but I probably will not be coming back with a group larger than 4 people.

I hadn't been to this location in a while, and it happened to be happy hour when I stopped by. I like that they replaced the paper menu with an iPad because it allows me to fine-tune the amount I want to order. That said, I noticed the portioning was inconsistent. For items like appetizers, the quantity matched the number I ordered. But for other items, such as vegetables and meatballs, the portions didn't reflect what I selected. During round two, I received fewer vegetables even though I ordered more than in round one. I also received more meatballs than I wanted when I only selected one piece. That was a bit frustrating and made it hard to gauge how much to order. Food was good as usual.

To be very honest, any Happy Lamb hot pot experience will be a positive one. I've been to one downtown, so I expected a similar experience. I didn't know it would be like THIS though. Let's get into the review. Food This restaurant offers wide variety of meats that you can use for your hot pot as well as different hot pot soups to choose from. I love heat, so I chose the spicy one. We ended up ordering a couple of meats and appetizers, and didn't realize just how much food that was. I highly recommend to start off with two or three meats, and by the time you finish you can gauge if you need to order more. At any rate, the food tasted amazing! If you go, I recommend getting the octopus. Service Shout out to our waiter//server. He was so attentive and engaging, I darn well felt like I was eating at a Michelin star restaurant. But to continue, I can't even remember if I looked down at my glass and my water cup was not full. When we talk about being attentive, that's what we're talking about! He also helped me choose the right selection to complement my food when my preferred was out! His helpfulness definitely added to the experience! Ambiance This restaurant is appropriately dim, with the focus areas of light shining on the tables. That is the vibe that I was going for and I'm so happy that they understood the mission and executed on it. The music was also appropriate. It helps at the mood, not too loud, but just enough for you to speak at regular volume and not be drowned out by the music. All in all, I give this restaurant a 5/5 would recommend. Going here is an absolute MUST if you are craving hot pot.

Happy hour as of 2025 December 9th: 2 - 5pm Mon - Fri, classic ayce 29.98, prime ayce 40.98. Applies every day after 9pm Mon - Sun Awesome experience once again, from our server Evan who made sure everything came out fast and nothing was missed. Another server was excellent with helping us but I couldn't get his name! fresh meat and seafood options galore, it was a proper celebratory Christmas meal! Loved that the sauce bar has crawfish, and a spicy tripe & cucumbers along with snack peanuts. My absolute favorites, I could subsist on the sauce bar and ice cream alone. The ordering style is now an ipad instead of paper, and the internet cut out on the pad, but nothing about our service pace or style changed, so everything was fine! Lots of large groups (8 or more people) also came in for Christmas dinner, so it was lively where people were also exchanging gifts at their table, it was so nice to see. Thank you happy lamb for a great time as usual!

Upgrading to 5 Stars. Near Premium. Consistency. Service. Menu Selection. Food Quality. Added "Near Premium" to why we return consistently here. I don't mean near premium as a negative, rather it means near top tier meat quality at other hotpots that charge a high price, but with less quantity as those other establishments are not AYCE. The premium AYCE here is great, and a very good bang for the buck. Personally I stick with the Wagyu and Ribeye beef choices now. The lamb used to be my favorite but with the newly added premium beef, its beef all the way now! Bang for the buck, AYCE + quality beef. The consistency and knowing what you'll get everytime you visit is a winning recipe here. Service always friendly, and the menu selection is rather large. Now that is is fall/winter is here, HOTPOT is back in super vogue pose. Not that we don't eat hotpot when its hot out, but nothing beats hotpot on a rainy, chilly, moody romantic day.

I came back for my moms birthday and we had an amazing time! The selection of appetizers, desserts and sauce options are great and taste good too. Service is amazing, we didn't have a large enough party for the free birthday reward but our waitress brought us a kitty shaped pudding with popping boba that was soooo cute and delicious!

Happy Lamb has been my go-to spot for hot pot for a while now, and it consistently hits the spot. With AYCE, you can load up on all your favorites, and the self-serve sauce bar is always stocked--not just with condiments but also extras like spring rolls, dumplings, fruit, desserts, and more. The staff does a great job keeping things clean, constantly wiping down surfaces, which I always appreciate. My only complaint is that the self-serve bar tends to bottleneck. The line moves slowly and it can block the walkway, which gets a bit inconvenient during busy hours. And it is almost always busy, so I recommend checking the Yelp virtual waitlist to cut down on wait time. I usually check how long the wait is and add myself when I'm about that far out. They recently switched to iPad ordering instead of the old paper system. It's straightforward and easy to use, but personally, I kind of miss the paper. Still, service is consistently attentive, and if something gets missed, they're quick to fix it. Overall, there's a reason I keep coming back--great food, good vibes, and an ideal spot to enjoy hot pot with friends.

We went here on the happy hour time at 9pm on a weeknight. There is a senior discount for any senior eating there just bring your ID. The food came out pretty quick when we ordered them via their tablet. The soup thought kinda all tasted the same, i think we have their regular broth, one mushroom as well. The staff were nice but honestly not as accommodating perhaps because it was quite busy. The food selection they don't have fried fish cake which is one of my favorites. But that's okay. The fried wonton from the bar is also good. Definitely recommend this place for AYCE.

The ambiance was nice, the servers very pleasant. The food is ok. I wish the sauce bar was a bit fresher but ok.

    Jaymee S.

Very fast service and seating. Well decorated and clean for the most part. Love all their options for all you can eat and the sauce bar is a must in my opinion. Make sure not to over order on round one because you get three rounds, most people tap out after the second round. I'd come without eating lunch to get your moneys worth! Good amount of parking in the front and nearby. Don't need to upgrade to premium unless you want to.

This is a solid all-you-can-eat hot pot spot with two pricing options. The higher-priced option includes drinks and wagyu beef, but we chose the cheaper tier. After tax and tip, it came out to about $50 per person, which felt reasonable for AYCE. They also offer a happy hour discount, which makes it an even better deal if you go at the right time. For the soup base, you can choose a combo. We went with a split pot: one spicy mala broth and one tomato broth. Both were flavorful -- the mala had a nice numbing heat without being overwhelming, and the tomato broth was rich and slightly sweet, great for balancing the spice. There's a self-serve sauce bar, appetizers, and fruit included. The selection of meats and vegetables isn't huge, but it covers the essentials: beef, lamb, and a variety of meatballs and fish balls. Everything tasted fresh. The fried chicken wings and brown sugar rice cakes (hong tang ci ba) are also included, which was a pleasant surprise. Both were actually really good -- crispy, flavorful wings and chewy, lightly sweet rice cakes that were perfect to end the meal. Overall, it's a good value for the price, especially during happy hour. Not the largest selection, but solid quality and satisfying experience.

Best Hotpot experience for beginners, large groups, and special occasions. I have visited this restaurant over 15 times since 2020. I recently visited in early June of 2025 to introduce our friends to hotpot for the very first time. The all you can eat 3 rounds always gets newbies overly confident and underestimating the quantity and quality of food that is provided in the first round. Happy Lamb Bellevue has the best soft serve ice cream ever. I rave about it to anyone and everyone that mentions hotpot. The soft serve machine has treated me to so many bowls of ice cream that I truly believe I get my moneys worth just from the amount of soft serve I get each time I visit. As a hot pot connoisseur that has tried almost every hotpot location in the greater Seattle/Bellevue area, Happy Lamb Bellevue specifically holds that #1 spot in my heart just because of the amazing service and soft serve. Go for the hotpot, return for the soft serve.

We ordered The black fish fillet slices in pickled cabbage soup- it was very tasty. Huge portion for family style sharing. The tang from the pickled cabbage was very appetizing. It paired well with rice. The fried sliced potatoes with sliced pork and chili dry pot was also very good. Not a whole lot of pork mostly sliced potatoes with very good flavor so I didn't feel like I needed to have more pork. It tasted like the potato slices were deep fried and cooked in flavorful umami garlic and chili sauce. Another dish that's great with steamed rice. We also enjoyed the chewy bean jelly noodles in spicy sauce. It is quite refreshing as there is a nice tang to the spicy sauce. We ended the dinner with brown sugar ice jelly. It has some dried cranberries, a few pieces of tiny mochi, and almond flakes. It was delicious, and not too sweet. We look forward to be back to try the other dishes.

I've come for both lunch and dinner, usually shortly after they open, and never had to wait. Just looking at the crowd, you can tell this is an authentic place. As someone who travels to China frequently, this restaurant definitely meets my expectations. The Hunan-style spicy dishes really satisfy my craving for bold heat and flavor. I've tried the stone pot spicy tofu with meatballs, 梅菜扣肉 (braised pork with preserved vegetables), spicy lamb, stone pot black pepper beef, stinky tofu, and the fried oyster mushrooms. I loved all of them. These are the kind of dishes where you can easily finish a big bowl of rice--and still want more even when your belly is already full. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. Service was prompt, and one small detail really stood out to me: during my first visit, they actually replenished the napkins mid-meal. With spicy food and the inevitable runny nose, that level of thoughtfulness is appreciated!

Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

About half the items were a-ok, the other half were fine and I would order it again (Garlic Pea Vines, Boiled Spicy Beef, and Hunan-style Soy Fried Rice). But the dish of the night was the Clay pot Bamboo shoot Pork Trotters and Chicken soup!!! That was sooo flavorful! Service was ok, we did come during the busy dinner rush hour, and they were really busy for a weeknight. Regardless, I want that Clay pot Bamboo shoot Pork Trotters and Chicken soup - it would be so comforting when it's cold!

That changed significantly in the next hour as there was a line out the door. Parking is at a premium and you may have to walk a little bit to get to the restaurant. Ordered the shrimp, fried rice and sweet and sour pork. I always have used fried rice as a good gauge of authenticity. The shrimp fried rice did not disappoint. Huge servings of shrimp and it was cooked without soy sauce being added so you could add it to taste. The sweet-and-sour pork was a generous portion, and I had a side of rice with it. It was flavorful and sweet and the pork was not overcooked. Great job. Also got an order of honey walnut shrimp. Generous sized prawns were used and they were delicious. I would recommend this for someone looking for an authentic Chinese experience

ROYAL KITCHEN @ BELLEVUE (crossroads)…read more Parking is pretty tight here, especially on the weekends when it gets super busy. Luckily, we were able to find a spot right out front, so I'd recommend slowly circling around and keeping an eye out for people leaving. I found this spot through Yelp and had been really craving good Chinese food, so I was super excited to finally try it. My family and I came without a reservation and were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was very busy. This place is definitely known for larger parties, there were lots of families and extended families dining together, which really gave it a classic family-style vibe. You order a bunch of dishes and share a little bit of everything, which I love. The staff were really friendly and greeted us right away with complimentary tea. Fun fact: in the mornings, tea is sometimes an extra charge, but in the evening it's free. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

CHECK your bill here!!!!!!!!…read more We took our daughters from out of town for Sunday dim sum. Longtime family tradition!! And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

Noodle Nine delivers a genuinely authentic dining experience that feels like stepping into a slice…read moreof everyday Asia rather than a polished, commercialized version of it. From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

Happy to come across this restaurant, mostly because ever since Tian Tian Noodle lost their lease…read morein DT Redmond, I've been looking for a replacement for their dan dan noodles. No one else seems to do them the same way. Noodle Nine doesn't serve dan dan noodles BUT the dipping sauce for the scallion pancake is the same as what Tian Tian used in their noodles! I absolutely used it as a dipping sauce. The scallion pancake was great- SUPER crispy. Cucumber salad was really good but aggressively garlicky. Actually spicy from just raw garlic alone. Beef noodle soup was delicious- we added a fried egg (I would skip it next time) and extra noodles on the side.
