On a recommendation from our hotel staff, we found it on point as our take-out was delish from the get-go! Not from Tucson but upon a return visit this will be the first choice for eats.

    Mapo Tofu with Pork (SC)
    Parker M.

You'd think that when you pay $16 for a tofu dish that it would come with rice. That is not the case. Mapo Tofu was extremely oily to eat without rice. I ordered pick up so I didn't notice till I got home. Just go to the Buffett...this is not better.

I always feel welcomed here. I love the food and this is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in town.

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, we all agreed the sweet and sour chicken was our favorite. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

I would eat here everyday! Food was out of this world Everything came out hot and fresh out the wok. Some of the most authentic and delicious Chinese I've ever had. Service staff was attentive and friendly. Waitress was knowledgeable about her menu and excited to help us. Decor, furniture, and landscaping made for an immersive experience. Would recommend to family and friends

The Peking duck was delicious, and the staffs were helpful in how to order the Peking duck. My families from California enjoyed very much.

    Chicken fried rice

Good flavors however, lately I am having hard time finding chicken in their sweet and sour chicken. Disappointing! The fried rice is always good and their hot and sour soup is the best. Fast service. They bring the food to the table as it becomes ready so some people in your party might be eating while you are waiting on your food

A container the size of my hand.

Has Old Peking recently changed management? This has been our go-to for take out since we moved to the neighborhood 10 years ago. Tonight I ordered take out with delivery. The food use to come in large white styrofoam containers. The friend rice would practically fall out when the lid was opened, it was piled so high. Tonight it came in a container 1/2 the size and was oily. In fact all 4 things we ordered were dripping in oil. I have included a picture of the Mongolian beef. That's oil in the container. That doesn't include the oil that was on my plate. It was swimming in it. If you don't believe me about the container size look at the restaurants photos on the yelp page. It shows the food in the big white containers. Now look at the picture I added of my container tonight. I know times are tough. I know food prices have risen, but 1/2 the same amount of food and much lower quality, we sadly won't be back.

Much improved from a fyears ago. I've been back a couple times in the last few weeks. We always get it to go but I believe the dining is remodeled and open for guests. Friendly staff. Ordered vegan specialties, Crispy spicy salty tofu and it was delicious, but the Crispy spicy sour tofu was even better. Fresh Yu Choi with Garlic. Big servings, reasonable prices. Skip the sesame balls they were not good. Husband enjoyed his veggie egg foo young and house chow fun. We had leftovers for the next day both times and we have big appetites! If the owners read this I suggest they vent the to go boxes to keep the crispness in the crispy. Next time I will take pics!

Fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced Old Peking is a Tucson tradition well deserving of your patronage. I love thier Egg Foo Young.

You order at the register and can choose to sit anywhere. Our food came out quickly. We ordered the Guilin dried style and the other bowl with broth. The noodle bowl includes rice noodles. meat-based spiced sauce, spicy pickled greens & bamboo, pickled long beans, roasted peanuts, and you can choose between 2 proteins. For my two proteins, I chose crispy pork belly and pork intestine. I wish they gave a little more because it was so good. I personally loved the dry one because the noodles soaked well with the sauce. The sauce was sooo gooodddd. The noodles were perfectly cooked - had a good soft bounce to it. The guilin with broth was also so good. The broth was perfectly cooked chicken broth. The pickled greens were a nice touch to balance the flavors. I wish this place was closer to me because I literally would go every week. This is one of the best noodle bowls I had in such a long time. Next time when I am in Tucson, I am going to try their other menu items because everything looked so good. Very reasonable price and great portions. There were lots of tables inside. It's a local staple full of fresh breads, yummy pastries and stacked sandwiches. For me, it felt like Panera but 10x better. I went with Fridas Flight and my husband had Curt's Club. The thing that stood out the most to me was the bread. So fresh and light, you can tell it was made in house. We also got a sticky bun, on a recommendation from the very friendly staff, and this was SO GOOD. Highly recommend heating it up a little bit. Overall, with the extensive menu, you can pretty much find anything you want here, sandwich-wise. Definitely recommend if you're ever in Tucson!!

For entrees, we got Curry Chicken and Cumin Lamb. I'd never had Cumin Lamb before, and it rocketed to the top of my favorites list! It was gorgeously flavorful, fragrant, and spicy, warming as I ate. The spiced oil soaked into the rice, spreading the flavor to every last grain. It's really lovely and I highly recommend it.
