A nice 27 hole track with a gigantic castle structure and lots of mechanical obstacles. More importantly was the service and friendliness of the staff in the pro shop. It was my daughters fifth birthday and they were very friendly with us. An easy 5 star raising! read more

Out of all the Old Pro Golf courses in Ocean City, this one just might be their most poorly maintained course. The only upside is that this one is 27 holes, so if you're taking kids or if you are just a mini golf fanatic that alone might spark your interest in going to this course. But what I noticed this course was extremely run down, and poorly maintained. The lady that was at the front desk seemed very careless towards customers and clearly didn't care about comments made by anyone. Perhaps in the months since I've gone there it has suddenly improved. Like I said, if you have young kids they will most likely enjoy it regardless. But for someone like me, the experience was garbage. Try any of their other locations for a much better time. read more

There's a first time for everything and it looks like that now includes rating a mini-golf course. But if you're going to do it, Ocean City is a great place to start with numerous courses lined up and down Philadelphia Ave, including a few Old Pro Golf ones. This is where we found ourselves after dinner one evening, ready for some friendly competition and occasional smack-talking (not from me though...never). First off, it's 27 holes, not the standard 18, which extends the fun. You feel like you're really getting your money's worth ($8/person) putting along through Camelot, including inside and outside of a two story "castle." Some of the holes are a bit simplistic, but most of them are pretty fun. It does get rather busy, so you will probably find yourself waiting for people in front of you or trying to dust the people behind you. Old Pro Golf is the creme de la creme of mini golf in OC. I don't know about you, but when I want to mini golf, I want a theme complete with corny decorations. Many locations here only offer some plants and perhaps a gazebo or something. Old Pro is exciting and corny all in one, and a great deal too. My boyfriend and I bought all day passes, good for all 4 locations (that's 6 courses) from 9am to 5pm and had an ultimate mini golf tournament -- $15 bucks a piece. This particular location used to be two courses, in case you were wondering why the jousting tent looked a little bit too much like a circus tent. In the past few years they got rid of the clowns and expanded the medieval theme to encompass both courses, making this the only 27 hole course in OC, a very good deal if you choose only one location to play. Kids will love this one as you get go through the big, candy colored castle. Compared to the other Old Pro locations, I'd say this one is one of the more challenging courses, but maybe that's just because of the number of holes. The decorations and some of the structures need to be refreshed like most of the Old Pro courses, but it mostly just adds to the charm. Another bonus is that this location tends to be less busy than the other courses probably just because two include indoor courses and the Temple of Dragons course looks really impressive from the high way. read more

Old Pro Golf - Renaissance Castle - Mini Golf Near Me - Ocean City, Maryland

This is the original Old Pro location, which started out as two separate courses: Medieval Castle and Circus. There really wasn't enough room for two 18 hole courses, so they rethemed it to Renaissance Castle while eliminating a few of the holes to eventually settle on 27. Overall there is plenty to see here, from castle moats to catapults to jousting knights. The greens are well maintained, except for the 4 holes on the second floor of the castle, which have become warped due to the lack of a foundation underneath. Also, the air is completely stagnant inside due to lack of a breeze, and so you end up sweltering in the Summer heat. Some of the holes are repeats or minor variations of previous holes (which naturally happened when combining the two courses), but there is plenty of variation to the point where you won't get bored. And there were few tears in the carpet or bricks out of place, so you can expect your ball to shoot straight. This isn't as difficult as Lost Treasure Golf, as all five players in my party shot at least 10 under par through 27 holes, and one even won a free game on the bonus hole. We experienced multiple hole-in-ones, and it kept the game moving (little frustration other than waiting for the people in front of us to finish). This probably isn't the best Old Pro course, but it's definitely the longest, and the price is the same as others ($9.50). Look for a dollar off coupon in one of the countless circulars all over Ocean City. read more

There really can be too much of a good thing sometimes. While a 27 hole mini-golf course seems like a good idea on paper, and a value for the money, I actually found myself losing interest in the course after the normal 18 holes. Not that this course doesn't have some fun landscaping. There are animatronic battling knights and the mini-golfer actually walks through a pretty pastel castle which contains a few of the holes (there is a bit of stair climbing for those who are with people averse to this). But on the hot day I chose to come here, I was actually thankful for the shade. Back to the 27 holes though, a lot of them ended up feeling redundant since the course had very few obstacles that could not be easily avoided through just putting straight. There was nothing in the way of loops of windmills that could throw even an experienced mini-golfer off their game through timing or strange bounces. It's definitely a course aimed at kids as far as difficulty goes (though this does reflect on the scorecard in the fact that it is almost completely par two holes). Eventually I just found myself going through the motions and enjoying taking pictures of the scenery more than the course itself. I mean, I definitely don't mind a "dated," course like this when it's a throwback to the olden days of mini-golf but just be warned that adults will not enjoy this one as much as the kids, especially at the price. Came here with my family and we all enjoyed ourselves, except for the fact that we felt rushed from the couple behind us but what can you expect? We were having fun and goofing off the whole time so it took a bit of time. Sorry ya'll! Anyways, it's kept pretty clean for the most part. There's 27 holes which is awesome because you spend a good amount of time here but all of them are different. It's a bit pricer but it's fun for the whole family with the different courses. Some of the decor was creepy though and not very kid friendly like the dungeon with the nails poking out so when you put the person inside, the nails go through their body type of thing. Besides that, it was very fun and its also 2 levels. I definitely would come here as a mini golfing option. read more

Medieval times Golf! 27 holes! Some really cool holes of Mini golf in this course. From moving catapults, spinning statues to lumpy hills and water traps. Most holes were kinda easy, with the par for everything being 3 but can easily be made in 2 shots. Did I mention 27 holes? The fun here seems to go on forever. There are even come holes inside a castle on both floors. Plus it's only $9 to play so it's a bargain. I would expect this place to be packed with people and everyone would have to rush through it but it wasn't like that. There was enough people around but we never felt rushed and we never had to wait for the people ahead of us. Everyone seemed to go at a nice pace and had a fun time doing it. read more

A great simple family friendly and fun mini golf course in Ocean City! If you're looking for a crazy course with interesting holes and gimmicks then this place is not for you. But with 27 holes to play, this place is a great setup. You can easily get a few hole in ones here to keep things interesting and fun, and the aged decorations with the medival theme give it a classic mini golf feel. The two level mini golf castle is also quite impressive, and definitely adds to the theme and family friendly fun atmosphere. That's why I give this place 4 stars. read more

Me and my family (three adults and a 4 and 5 year old) did this last night and I have to say it was a fun experience. The total came to about 50 dollars for all of us to golf which I thought was a little high but at the same time it gives you access to 27 holes instead of most places only let you golf 18. The course was clean and very family friendly and each hole was different some challenging and others perfect for small kids to have a chance at a hole in one my 5 year old daughter got 4 hole in ones and she was happier than can be. I would give it a try again the next time we are here. read more

This is still my current favorite mini-golf course in Ocean City. It seems to be a yearly tradition for my family to play this course and last week was no exception. I did take notice, however, that the price really went up since last year. The carpet looks like it was recently replaced and it is too bad that some golfers feel the need to write on everything with a pencil. My niece did much better this year and maybe someday my nephew will be able to play too. I don't trust him with a golf club right now, as either something would end up getting broken or someone would get hurt. Maybe next year if the prices don't go up too much. I planned to go mini golfing with my family so we went to the old pro mini golf, as it was the closest. (Medieval course) my family enjoyed it enough to not be a waste of time. However, as we were walking to a restaurant (opposite direction of our hotel) we looked over and saw the jolly Rodger mini golf course which looked very good and fun. But when we looked up reviews to that golf course, apparently there was flooding and it was almost impossible to get a hole in one. If you want that experience go for it, if not old pro golf is a great place to go for kids. Many cheesy decorations and I agree it is the creme de la creme of mini golfing, as stated previously.
