When we went in for a tasting, we had lunch first. The Bbq pork sandwich was one the best sandwiches I've ever had. We also got a tuna melt and a quiche which were both delicious. When Daisy came out with the cupcakes for us to try they were so helpful and I felt so confident that they would make everything run smoothly for delivery and set up at my venue. The cupcakes were beyond any expectation. The lavender cake was delicious, better than any other floral cake I've ever had. My fiancé who is a frosting critic couldn't get enough. I've tried a few other bakeries in the area and this cake blew them away. We are going back tomorrow to pick up more pastries to bring home. But its consistently troubling issue is the large amount of flour caked on and baked on the outside of the loaves. They use an extreme amount of flour on the raw dough as a release from their baking baskets, and after the bake they just leave it all stuck to the loaf. When I bring a loaf home I often spend a few minutes smacking it and scraping it over the sink where I dislodge so much raw flour from the outside of the bread. Sometimes there's a rind of undercooked flour cemented to the outside of the loaf. This is wildly unacceptable.
