The ambiance was great. This place is cool & the service is counter ordering. I ordered the Fame Tacos, one of each & Empanadas. I chose the Argentinian Beef which she said came with olives & rasins & the Brazilian Calabresa which I was Informed was filled with smoky brazilian sausage & a creamy parm-like cheese named catupiry. Despite all of their wonderful alcoholic drink options, I went for coffee. I am also going to carry out a loaf of bread that they can slice for you once it cools.. yup, it's that fresh & a fig pecan oatmeal cookie because they also look & sound delicious. Apparently they have a million playlists (this guy can Dj any party of mine) & the owner has the resteraunt logo showing up in the corner of the TV screen, where the videos are playing. Smart I give the Tacos a 4.5 out of 5. The flavor was bright (perfect fusion experience) the shell was a grilled flour wrap which was both crispy on the outside & tender & chewy on the inside. The meat was tender, but the texture was slightly mealy from the seasoning but still very good. The Empanadas were delicious. A 10 out of 5.. LoL! The server said some people are put off by the Argentinian ingredients, it was her favorite & I found nothing wrong with the flavor profile. However, the Brazilian one stole the show. The minute I cut into it I was overwhelmed by the smell of heaven.. Seriously, if heaven has a smell, it was this tiny empanada! It was too good to put into words, so youre just going to have to come experience it. Come. Eat! You wont regret it! I will be back to try their winter salad & then again for the ruben & i will have friends in tow. I 100% recommend this place. In house bakery served up delicious sandwiches on the sourdough bread. Tuna melt delicious and served open faced with bubbly cheese. Fresh panzanella was the salad of the day. Excellent flavors, not to tart with olives basil and tomatoes. Friendly service from the counter and nice inside and outside ambience. For my 2 cents I wouldn't serve the eat in customers salad in to go containers. It brought the experience down below casual lunch. Kept our party from relaxing into the experience but it's a minor point and just my preference. Food is great, end of story. #holyokeforever read more

I ate here once for lunch and although I personally think the prices are too high for what you get, I decided to go here for a drink with my husband one Saturday evening. I got a dirty martini. Their martini glasses are not the typical one you usually get, they are the smaller round stem ones which is fine...what was not OK was receiving my drink with half the glass empty and paying $14 for it. I will definitely not be returning, not for food and definitely not for a drink!!! read more

This place is a gem. I have frequented it for lunch and been there for the small plate evening menu. It is well-appointed, cozy, and stylishly modern. It is self serve as you order at the bar but folks are attentive. The drinks and food at night are very good! Lunch is a well edited affordable menu and tasty. I am a vegetarian, so there are less offerings (a vegetarian chilli, grill cheese, and salads) but still well worth the trip for the atmosphere and ambiance. Delicious cookies and bread are available to purchase as well. Always great music playing in the background. Fame is also next to Blue Door Gatherings, a window takeout with great pastry, etc. So happy to support Holyoke businesses! read more

Stopped in for lunch not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. There were a few sandwiches on the menu and I ordered the pastrami. The counter hosts an assortment of tempting sweet treats in glass jars and, in retrospect, I should have grabbed a brownie to try. After ordering at the counter, we seated ourselves and the food was brought out in five minutes or so. The sandwich was warm off the panini press (cheese fully melted!) with a solid amount of meat and crispy slaw on their marbled rye. Sandwiches can be so hit or miss, but this one hit the spot. All the ingredients came together in balance and stayed put during the eating process (no little bits of filling jumping overboard). The sandwich was a moderate size, but still felt like good value to me for $10. A deli meat sandwich from Panera is about the same price and pretty sad by comparison. Very cool vibe to the restaurant. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. We ordered a Turkey Club with bacon and tomato, and a turkey Rueben. The made to order Rueben was delightful. The Turkey club not so much. I wasn't asked if I wanted it toasted, but that's how it came out. I think all their sandwiches are Cuban style. The bacon was barely cooked. My bad I should have ordered crispy. They only redeeming part of the sandwich was the sour dough bread. The staff was nice enough, but when I pointed out the bacon was under cooked, the only response I got was," I will let the chef know" Remember, you have options out there. read more
