We used Yelp to find this because some in our party wanted pizza, some wanted pasta. We have one that loves pizza but can't eat red sauce. They had build your own pizza (which was amazing) with tons of options and several sauces besides red sauce. They had great pasta! They had the best ranch and we are ranch loving people so we've had lots to compare. One of the beat parts of our evening (besides great food) was the magician. This pizza reminds me of the first pizza I had as a kid......loved it! Loved the new decor with all the wood and stone, very comfy. They had a great variety of beers available. The service was great. Our group ordered a "Biggins" pizza, often when you order a pizza that large at some places the middle will be soggy or not even cooked or warm, but this pizza had lightly browned crisp crust throughout. The toppings were plentiful and the sauce was just the right amount......not overloaded like a lot of places. My new favorite! It was a little pricey, but well worth it in my eyes. read more

This place had terrible service. I came in at 11:25am and after waiting at our booth for five minutes, had to seek out someone to Ask for a high chair. A waiter pointed toward the back of the restaurant and said they were back there. Our waitress finally arrived and I immediately ordered my daughters food before anything else and it still took 40 minutes. It was the last thing to arrive, after the rest of our food and other guests around a me who had ordered after us. It was boxed macaroni so there was so reason for it to take so long. Non exceptional pizza but I'm not a fan of cracker type crust pizza. The house dressing is pretty good but otherwise the salad was a bowl of lettuce with three pieces of pepperoni on top. I am hard pressed to remember when I have had a worse dining experience. Having see the restaurant several times while shopping nearby I decided to take my 8-year old grandson in for pizza. The initial drink service was fine, but then I waited 20 minutes to place a food order. When my salad came the cocky waiter rudely tossed the bowl onto the table and took off. After waiting another half hour an overcooked the pizza, with a slightly burned crust, arrived. The best I can say is the toppings were plentiful. I had only 4 additional contacts with the staff, 3 were related to the check. A young girl, who appeared to be a cashier stopped to ask if everything was okay, had I not already wasted so much time I should have told her rotten and left. She brought me the bill, while the original waiter picked up my money and returned the change. The waiter never made contact to ask if I needed anything was never asked or I needed a drink refill although I noticed the waiter bring a refill to an adjacent table. My 8 year old grandson even commented that the waiter spent a lot of time talking to female he called "baby". . read more

I used to go to the original old shawnee pizza in shawnee. I loved it and the lunch specials were a deal. When I found out they were putting in a lenexa location I was thrilled. I got the biggin fixens and its one heck of a massive pizza. I could eat the whole thing but the wife wants left overs. The pizza reheats well in microwave or toaster over. I ate the meatball sandwich and its a beast. my belly was filled after eating that monster. All the people are very nice. I did have one instance when they first opened where the pizza tasted like cinnamin, it must have been a new location quirk as i have not had this happen since then. read more

I was excited to try the new OSP, since it was close to the house and I had heard good things about the original OSP. My husband and I went last night and probably will come back, but it was kind of disappointing. We had a medium pizza with several meats and onions, black olives and grn peppers. Although it did have lots of meat, you could tell the hamburger was previously cooked, it was pieces of meat all the same size and looked like mystery meat. Also, there was very little cheese. The crust was crispy and nice. Our waitress was nice enough, but I had to wave her down to get a refill on my drink. Our booth was moving back and forth anytime we would move and when a family sat down in the booth behind ours it moved then. Might want to bolt it down! The decor is disappointing. Showed up just a few moments before they closed. They were more than welcoming. Had us come in engaged us. I know they were trying to go home but never a moment passed where we felt like it wasn't 6pm treated us as if we were family. What an absolute awesome place. Great leadership from the top down! The food and staff were awesome today! It is National Pizza Day so our office all decided to go and eat inside today and take advantage of their special. When we got there it was packed and so the staff immediately opened the private dining room. I've become a regular at their Lenexa location. I go 2-3 times a month during the day. Here's my typical experience, Ben sees me pull up in my truck and has my drink waiting at the bar before I open the door, then he gets my salad and places my pizza order and it arrives 8 minutes later. The salad and pizza is consistently good and the service is friendly. This store will suffer if Ben leaves. Give this guya raise. read more

My friends and I eat at Old Shawnee Pizza in Lenexa two or three times a month. They have really good pizzas and salads. I usually either get a gluten free pizza (best I have had) or a salad with the yummy house dressing. The addition of a "party room" is really great for private occasions and I intend to make use of it soon. read more

Great Pizza and Salad Dressing, somewhat overpriced but still a good meal.

Tonight was one of the worst experiences I have had in quite some time. I realize KU was on TV, but plan for it. We started calling around 6:00....nothing but a busy signal for an hour and a half. About to starve, we drove there to place our order. While ordering, I asked if they had phone issues. I was told they were swamped and turned off the phone system. Hmmm, doesn't a pizza place live off of phone in orders and carry out? Evidently not this one. I placed my order...which was $70, very high for a pizza joint I thought, and asked how long it would be. I was told 30 minutes to an hour. As I live close, I asked if they could call me when it was ready. I gave my number to what "appeared" to be the manager. No call ever came. An hour and a half later, I went back up to see if my order was possibly ready. I asked the same young lady who took my order if it was ready. She said yes, it has been done for a while. I inquired as to why I was not called. She stated they didn't have my number. The person who "appeared" to be he manager said, "just give it to him". One problem...it was not all there. This is my third negative experience here. Waited 50 minutes for a ham and cheese at lunch, and took 50 minutes for a carry out pizza. Won't be going back. Horrible service and they act like I am lucky to be served there. I'm done. I won't darken their door again. They have the exact same problem the previous pizza tenant had.......just more expensive. As a business owner myself, customer service is king. Not to these people. You are just a hindrance because they are busy. Good luck....not coming back. I'll wait for yet the third tenant to occupy that space that understands the very basics of customers, service, and pricing. Good luck subleasing! read more
