My favorite lunch spot whenever I'm in the area! Their lunch special, a pizza, salad, and drink, is my go to and a great value. I usually order the Meat Locker, which is loaded with all the meats, or the Farmer, which is the perfect mix of meat and veggies. Most recently, the Crab Rangoon pizza as been my favorite and it was so yummy! Their house dressing is delicious, too. The service is always quick, the staff is friendly. Made a trip to my favorite pizza place Old Shawnee Pizza inShawnee,Ks on 6000 Roger Dr. it is the original building and opened 1969. The pizza dough is cracker dough and comes out very crisp. We made our way downstair and the fireplace was good and hot made our stay very comfy and cozy.We already knew what we wanted to order as we go often, ordered meat locker personal pizza 9 inch with a salad and a drink. As it was not busy because of the snow storm we were waited on very quickly. Pizza came out 20 minutes later.Server came several times filled up our drinks brought us containers for leftovers. Ok first things first, I only post when completely pissed about something. First off we have been Regulars at OSP (for space sake) for MANY years. I can say we know some of the staff and have interacted a lot over these years, This review is not about the food at all, it as always is exceptional. Its the Counter Staff and the Prices, I understand fully that prices go up and down based on the availability of the ingredients etc. But the other night, my wife and I made a last minute decision to go to OSP for a meal, we needed a night out. We went in, were met by one of the always awesome wait staff, and our order was taken. Understand we are on their Birthday rewards, Toast rewards and specials emails and texts, so in theory it should be deemed reasonable to eat there. Nope. We each ordered a salad, a small specialty pizza and got a pitcher of beer, we love a long hang out dining experience. after my wife redeemed her "Birthday" reward, the bill was $94.00... are you kidding me? on what planet does 2 small pizzas 2 side house salads and a pitcher of beer cost that much? in disbelief my wife asked is that with or without the reward and the snarky (probably underpaid) girl at the counter was unapologetic and essentially border line snotty. Listen I get it.. and my wife is never ever rude, she is my complete opposite, because If I receive it? Ill give it back, but even she, who won't give it back at all was a bit mad. I am taking a break from OSP for a while because honestly not the first time the kitchen/counter staff has been rude, but mostly if you want good pizza it shouldn't cost anyone $94.00 get over yourselves because there is better, less expensive pizza out there that isn't served in a dingy dirty cabin like setting in the middle of an improving area of Shawnee. I like old Shawnee pizza. I think the pizza is good and and enjoy the house salad. The service is always friendly and quick. My friend and I went here in a Thursday afternoon. They were not busy so we sat right down and the server came right over. They had a special on large pizzas. We ordered 2 draft beers, 3 salads, crab Rangoon dip and a large Fixins pizza. Everything was good but I was a little surprised at my half of the bill. We usually go at lunch time and get the special so I wasn't expecting a $57 dollar bill for just me. Great humongous wings and great humongous salads. You can eat healthy at a pizza place!! Get sauce on the side like us or eat the wings 'as is'. Juicy and tender for little money. About three months ago I ordered a pizza with no green peppers and it came with loaded green peppers which a couple members of my family are highly allergic to. This is my go-to spot for pizza delivery on food apps. The food has been delivered 3+ times while piping hot. My favorites are the OSP dip (spicy) and crab rangoon pizza. I haven't been inside for a while but I've heard they are adding a deck out the front, which will be a huge improvement. If you like unique pizza flavors and consistent quality this is my favorite pizza spot in Shawnee and North Johnson County. It's also near downtown Shawnee which now has 3 breweries and a few new cocktail bars. Highly recommend! read more

So sad. My family and I have gone to Ols Shawnee Pizza for years. Agreed they've always been overpriced, but we enjoyed buying local. There really is nothing g special. I'd say just basically take off of Pizza Shoppe. Tonight my son picked up our takeout order: two salad salads and a personal pan ouzza pizza with a total price of $58 ( this fool gave a5 5 dollar tip). When it arrived, it was a personal pan pizza for 1895! Look it up. 749 each for the basic iceberg lettuce salad (with the wrong dressing no less). I honestly assumed that the basic pizza I ordered for 1895 was the medium... Not a personal pan pizza. When I called asking them to recall my order, they stated that I had a seven dollar "convenience fee" for ordering online. So just a rehash I have two basic side salads and a personal pan pizza to feed my family tonight, all for $58. Total joke. So sad I'm calling it quits for Old Shawnee Pizza and if you don't wanna be a chump, maybe you shouldn't eat there either. Clearly they do not care about their customer. The taste is genuinely good. However, look at my photos, and be VERY careful that you pay attention to the size. The prices are absolutely terrible for the size you get. Their medium pizza is $25 with a width almost literally the size of a plastic fork. A slice is the size of your middle finger. You know those expensive personal pizzas they serve at stadiums? This is worse. It's ridiculous price gouging, or they're taking advantage of the buzzed folks in the area that have to have food. read more

Every time I order online I order and pay for a to-go iced tea and every single time they don't give me one. i say "I thought I ordered an iced tea also" they look at their computer and say "I don't see it here but I'll get you one". my receipt clearly says that I ordered and paid for one. Really struggle with this one. The pizza itself is tasty, yes. However, the sizing is EXTREMELY small for what you get. The medium specialty is $25. I made it cauliflower crust, so $30. Then, for a surprise to my boyfriend, went to splurge on the carrot cake for $8.99. It was the smallest piece of cake!! So the pizzas are small and the overpriced cake slice was an even bigger slap in the face. Then they add a convenience fee and carry out fee. Then had the audacity to ask for a tip. $46.39 for this. My boyfriend wanted to take the cake slice back in when he heard how expensive it was. Top that off with a woman who acted like she was miserable and annoyed I was even there to ring me out for my carry out I ordered online. Shawnee Pizza. This is one of may favorite pizza places. I absolutely love the cracker crust. I've been to the location in Lenexa also, and the food is just as good there, but the ambiance of the Shawnee location makes it my go to place. I especially love sitting downstairs. The service is always wonderful. I really like that they've added a new option to save 5% when paying cash. We've brought friends and out of town family here and everyone has really liked it. OSP gets five stars alone just for their garlic knots. OMG! So much lovely bread swimming in oil and garlic. This is one of the best garlicky things I have ever eaten. For a long time now I had heard about OSP but was never in a position to try it out. I was dog/house sitting in Lenexa and I did not want to use the kitchen of the people I was helping out. When I settled on pizza, this was the one place I could not wait to try. I ordered the mediterranean and it did not disappoint. Simply delicious. One thing that really impressed me was the amount of toppings on my pizza. It was loaded with fresh ingredients and baked just right. The next day the house owners called and said there was leftover pizza in the refrigerator and they said to help myself. I looked at the box and it was from OSP, too. I am not sure what the name of their pizza was but it was equally delightful. Very yummy and delicious. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the attributes of the physical restaurant. I ordered online for delivery. The delivery was fast, courteous and prompt. I was impressed with the whole process. I am sure the restaurant is lovely and I have plans to visit in person. read more
