I'm in town visiting from California. The best way I can think to describe it is it has a resemblance to Shakeys Pizza. They have mojos but call them spuds . The service was great, wish the lady at the counter was a little more helpful since it was my first time there but she was nice. It was really empty for a Saturday night, only one family in there, but they do have machines where you can gamble. All and all it was a nice place to stop and grab some pizza and a beer. read more

We have enjoyed Abby's pizza since the late 60's, since we live in Roseburg, OR, where they opened their first restaurant and considered them as the best pizza available in our area. However, recently they have been raising their prices too high, and the quality of their pizzas have decreased. They keep advertising that their pizza goes all the way to the edge, but we just picked one up yesterday, and there was up to two inches around the edge that had very little to no ingredients, except for a thin layer of cheese & sauce. It was their Cinco special, and the beef used appeared to be low grade and factory formed small tidbits. We remember when they used real, fresh ground beef, and applied each dollop individually by hand. And the toppings were very sparce, considering for the price we paid. 50 years ago, we would have given 5 stars, but not today. read more

Really love the Abby's brand of Pizza. I've been to all of the locations in Roseburg and Sutherlin (probably a few others, but don't remember which ones). Anytime you see Abby's you know that you are about to get a quality pizza .... and if you get the spuds - best deep fried potatoes ever (sorry french fries). I don't know if it's in the sauce, the crust or what, but I'm not a fan of single topping pizzas (even here my go to is the Abby Special or the Taco), but something about ordering a plain Linguica pizza. I honestly don't know if I've ever seen that as an option at any other pizza place. That stuff is hands down the best single topping you could ever get for a pizza. Prices are probably a little higher than the other pizza places in town, but they do set the bar for what a quality pie should be about. I think it's worth the $1 or $2 extra for the quality that they provide. Staff is always friendly and you can usually find a table or booth - they do have times where there can be a wait. But, you know what they say, good things are worth waiting for - if you do happen to have a wait - it's well worth it. read more

This is my old reliable Pizza. ALWAYS good, always tasty. I like their crust and sauce, I usually ask for well done since I like the little burnt edges. We had our end-of-season football party here, with 19 hungry teenagers. I ordered 14 giant pizzas and 10 large spuds, for 7:30 pm. We showed up an hour early, because our game was ended early due to smoke. We asked to have the food started at that time. The folks that work here did an absolutely stellar job. They had a big party before us, and in spite of that, cranked out all our food in record time. Abby's is my absolute favorite pizza place. Taco pizza is one of the best ever, anywhere! I do miss the old style pizza ovens from my youth. I think they added a bit to the pizza that is missing in today's ovens, but whenever I'm in town, I try to stop by to get my fix. There just isn't one close to home now. read more

Since we've seen this chain in MANY other towns, we had always shied away from them. We think it was from an experience long ago and far, far away... When we first came to Roseburg, friends invited us to go there and since it was a nice big crowd of us, we decided to let bygones and fading memories float away. Giv'em another shot and so we did and were pleasantly surprised ! Although Mrs. Picky wanted a pure, authentic light Margherita pizza: a pizza made with olive oil, garlic, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses: "Do you make Margherita pizza's?" Mrs. Picky asked the counter person. "No." "Do you know what a Margherita pizza is and no, it's not a bar drink," Mrs. Picky said smiling so the counter person wouldn't think she was being snarky or anything.... "No." "It's made with pizza with olive oil, garlic, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses ..." "We don't have fresh basil." And with that, Mrs. Picky nearly cried. We've never heard of a restaurant NOT having fresh basil ! Blasphemy ! How can you call yourself a restaurant !!!!! After she came out of her coma, Mr. Picky showed her and Little Miss Picky the Mediterranean pizza on the menu and that was the agreed pizza ordered. It was delicious ! Mrs. Picky almost forgave Abby's for not keeping fresh basil on hand. I have eaten at Abby's at least once a year for the past 30 years. It's a treat I always look forward too - especially if I time it right for the Smoked Pepperoni special. They have great crust, Pepperoni that's made just for them, good sauce and cheese coverage/ratio. Abby's are usually clean and very child friendly. The staff has always been nice too. And while I've heard people complain that they are expensive, I say they are not. They are a few steps above the chain places. Abby's offers coupons and specials galore, and the price per person is pretty darn cheap. They've got some great fried potatoes too! -- My standard rating disclaimer: I rate places as compared to other similar places. In other words a hot dog cart or taco stand can easily be five-stars when compared to other carts and stands. read more

Our "go to" place for pizza. Our favorite is the barbecue chicken. Lots of chicken and great barbecue sauce right to the edge of the crispy crust. The Greek vegetarian is also always tasty. The salad bar is good with lots of fresh ingredients. There is a good selection of draft beers- perfect to drink while hanging out with friends or watching sports. Prices are reasonable, but certainly not cheap. Lots of local kids got their first jobs here, adding to the family atmosphere. read more

Good food and whatnot, but as soon as the waiter came up to my friend and told him he couldn't carry a purse cause it disrupted and bothered the customer's eating experience, I instantly disliked them. I don't care if people like it or not, I don't see how carrying a purse in order to carry a Nintendo Switch (an expensive console) in a safe manner, is bothersome to customers. If he didn't say anything, I'd be fine with eating here. I won't be eating here anymore and I'll make sure people know that they hire employees like this. read more

Abby's Pizza oh what a delight?! I worked at Abby's and I am not giving them 5 Stars because of that. I tried Abby's Pizza long before I'd gotten the job and they make Pizza the best! The taco pizza, steak pizza, the hula chick, etc. they're all very good. Abby's has the best spuds like EVER! They have this really good ranch/blue cheese dipping sauce! You would never know but it's gooood! I have had the sandwhiches as well and they're made fresh to order. Everything's fresh! The workers at Abby's are the friendliest! This isn't the worst pizza we've ever had, but it's far from the best. We went with deep dish which may have been a mistake. It wasn't so much crust as a payor of flavorless bread. The sauce was too skimpy, perhaps just in ratio to the thick crust. But the toppings were spread a bit too thin as well. Nice guy at the counter who took pains to get our order just right. For his sake we're going with 3 stars rather than 2. The 13" with 2 toppings was $21. read more

Although the pizza was good the bill for two drinks a salad and a 13" pie was $40. I've had better pizza that was cheaper and the place was way under staffed. Kinda hard to find a place to sit down when every table has dirty dishes on it. Really cold as well inside. Next time we will just get the buffet and call it good. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! Over priced bad food. Been eating here for 25 plus years. Every year it gets worse and worse. Pizza quality has lowered. Large spuds are $7.50 and 3/4 of the spuds are still raw. Even if u ask them to cook the spuds longer they still bring them to you raw again. If you ask for cajun spuds or any seasoned spuds they sell all the seasoning will be stuck in one pile in a corner or the box and not really on the raw spuds. Chicken has very little flavor. Only thing I will eat here is the salad bar that you make yourself. read more

I order quite often but it seems the food quality is a bit poor during the day. I recently had fried chicken there that was literally salty to the bone. More recently I requested extra artichoke hearts on my Greek Salad and I got a dozen artichoke leaves or petals in return. The price is not cheap and the tolerance for this type of service is wearing thin. Growing up here in Roseburg, Abby's pizza was the jewel for pizza, where you could actually watch your pizza being made . I hate to let go but the daytime management at this place is a bit incompetent. read more
