Yesterday was my first time stopping by, and all I came in for was a matcha. Unfortunately, my experience at the counter was not very pleasant. When I ordered a matcha, the employee asked if regular milk was okay, and I said oat milk was fine. However, I was never informed that oat milk was an additional $1 charge. She also never asked what size I wanted and then told me to pay. When I looked at the screen, I saw that the total was $7 for a large. I only wanted to spend around $5-$6, so I asked if I could get a small instead. I was surprised to see that the price was still the same. When I asked why, she then explained that oat milk was a $1 up charge and she didn't charge me on the large order for oatmilk. I don't mind paying the extra dollar, but I feel customers should be informed about an additional charge before being charged for it. Also, if getting a large was actually the better deal, I would have appreciated being told that. What made the interaction more frustrating was that the employee seemed distracted and dismissive while her coworker was talking to her. I ended up getting the small, even though I was confused about the pricing. The matcha itself was good, but unfortunately, because of the customer service experience, I don't think I'll be returning. Stumbled upon this place on a whim after an early morning walk and it was great! I got an iced banana matcha with oat milk and the breakfast burrito with no adjustments. The place was busy during Saturday early morning and it seemed to stay consistently busy. The three of us waited around 20 minutes to be seated. Date of visit: May 8, 2026 Selections: Lechera Waffle Chilaquiles Verdes Experience: I was craving waffles and decided to give this place a try after scrolling through the DoorDash app. This place drew me in because they offered chilaquiles too, so I got an order of lechera waffles and their chilaquiles verdes. The delivery took about 50 minutes to get to me after ordering and I was a bit nervous about how soggy both would be, especially the chilaquiles since I like when the chips are mostly hard still. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful that the salsa for the chilaquiles came on the side and though the waffle wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be, it was thick and fluffy and tasted great with the toppings. The salsa for the chilaquiles had a kick to them that I enjoyed and it went great with the cheese, red onions, and sunny side egg that came with it. We visited this restaurant with a party of four on 07/04/2026 at about 11am for the first time. There is plenty of parking, either on the street or in the free parking deck out back for this group of stores/restaurants. The food was excellent at this restaurant. The only reason for the one star deduction is for the disorganization. We arrived. Here you order at the counter and then find a seat. We ordered and there was just a couple of people in front of us. Once we ordered we sat at a table designed for four and then someone came around after just a couple of minutes and moved us to a different four top in a different part of the restaurant. If they were going to do that, why not just seat people from the beginning. The person who took our order was very kind, and it did not take too long for the food to arrive. I had the Cesar Salad Wrap, which was very well dressed and not dry, as some wraps are. It came with a side of bananas and strawberries. Our table also shared the House Waffle, and boy was it a treat. It had a delicious pistachio and nutella waffle. It was yummy. I also got to try a bite of my Husband's spicy sausage sandwich. I had breakfast this morning here and it was my first time visiting. I ordered a large coffee and a breakfast burrito. I ordered my burrito with chicken sausage. It was a beautiful morning so I sat outside overlooking Colorado Blvd. I ordered and paid for my food inside. The staff was friendly. As I sat at a table my coffee was brought outside. The coffee that they brew was good. I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my burrito and when my burrito was brought to the table it looked great. They cut it in half and it came with a aioli dipping sauce. The chicken sausage was absolutely delicious and juicy. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. The potatoes were nice and crispy on the sides so when I bit into the burrito they was a nice crunch with each bit. There was also guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo and black beans inside. The aioli sauce had a subtle heat element and really made the burrito pop with flavor. I was presently surprised on my first visit and asked myself why I did not visit them earlier. One of my favorite brunch places in Pasadena! Small hole in the wall, located in a plaza on the second floor. It's not normally busy since it's tucked away but I hear it can get busy Sunday mornings after church. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, especially with my toddler. This is an order at the front & pay first place, but they will seat you at a table first so you can look over the menu and then ask you where you are sitting and bring out your food. Place is pretty tiny and pretty cramped inside, but there are some tables outside if you can't get a seat inside. You order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table. Menu is pretty extensive, but I opted for a smoothie and a pancake breakfast. It was pretty good and portion was big enough to fill me up. My coworkers got different items, and they all seemed to enjoy them. However, two of my coworkers said the chicken was pretty dry and not that good. Overall, it's a pretty cool spot to grab a drink or get some breakfast. Place is pretty loud inside and it is hard to have a conversation. They have you sit first then order at the desk when ready. You'll get a plastic number and they'll bring the food over to you. The staff are friendly and helpful. I got the French toast combo. In all fairness, I went to this place because it advertised Organic coffee, I quickly found out that they are best known for their food items. I wanted to point that out first so there's a fair assessment of my experience. I ordered the Tiramisu latte, and, well, it didn't appeal to me at all. It was missing the Tiramisu, perhaps, a mere oversight, but, maybe not. The coffee itself was a bit overbearing, and left an unpleasant aftertaste. I don't expect all coffee experiences here to be the same. The gentleman that took my order was nice, he also made the recommendation, but did not make my beverage. It's a really decent small, corner nestled cafe, and you know what, I will return. I was not turned off by my drink, as I usually would be. Organic coffee, I'll taste it with my next order. I will request exactly what I need in order to tell, and, yes, I CAN tell. I'm true to good roasts. Don't be deterred, simply try them for yourself. I do want to add that they were 1 of the 2 spots recommended to me that day. Someone also came up to me while I was sitting, waiting and started a pleasant conversation while I was there. It is a rainy day so the outside seatings were not available, the inside is small but still has a good amount of seating. The employees are very nice and you order at the register and you get a number for your order. I got the French Toast Combo with Scrambled Egg and Turkey Bacon with a Small Tiramisu Latte. It was one of those dishes that tastes just as good fresh as it is microwaved the day after, but I mean that in the best way possible.
