A neighborhood favorite, Old Town Caffe is one of those spots that you think about often. Opening early with indoor and outdoor seating, this spot has plenty of seating to accommodate any group. I had an excellent dining experience, ordering their special French toast with eggs. I opted for scrambled. The presentation was amazing and the staff are sweet. I love how extensive their drink and coffee menu is. I'll definitely be back. Parking is plentiful in the back.

Date of visit: May 8, 2026 Selections: Lechera Waffle Chilaquiles Verdes Experience: I was craving waffles and decided to give this place a try after scrolling through the DoorDash app. This place drew me in because they offered chilaquiles too, so I got an order of lechera waffles and their chilaquiles verdes. The delivery took about 50 minutes to get to me after ordering and I was a bit nervous about how soggy both would be, especially the chilaquiles since I like when the chips are mostly hard still. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful that the salsa for the chilaquiles came on the side and though the waffle wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be, it was thick and fluffy and tasted great with the toppings. The salsa for the chilaquiles had a kick to them that I enjoyed and it went great with the cheese, red onions, and sunny side egg that came with it. I definitely would want to check this place out in person and try their other options as well!

Cute!!!! Stopped here for a nourishing meal before spending the day walking around the Pasadena convention center, and this was absolutely the right move. This little space was packed with a line to order and that told me everything I needed to know. I unknowingly ordered the largest Matcha beverage I have ever attempted to drink and it was so very perfect. I dream about this. The food was fresh and hearty, and I'm ashamed to say I didn't even eat it all.. This small café is a hidden gem and will be my new pre-convention center tradition!

Staff was very friendly . You order inside an if you choose to eat there they bring the food to you. Got the breakfast burrito with turkey bacon , it was good but nothing extraordinary . That's all I got , but they seemed to have a lot of yummy drinks.

Delicious brunch option that I wish I knew about earlier!! Old Town Caffe is both a low-key and popular, affordable option for brunch with super nice staff. The serving sizes were huge-great for sharing! The Caesar salad wrap and waffle slices were delicious! Those waffles were the best I've had in SoCal. I loved the London Fog too; they make the best version! Came on a Thursday morning at 9 am and was able to get a table for 2 without a wait. The rush starts picking up around 10 am.

I had breakfast this morning here and it was my first time visiting. I ordered a large coffee and a breakfast burrito. I ordered my burrito with chicken sausage. It was a beautiful morning so I sat outside overlooking Colorado Blvd. I ordered and paid for my food inside. The staff was friendly. As I sat at a table my coffee was brought outside. The coffee that they brew was good. I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my burrito and when my burrito was brought to the table it looked great. They cut it in half and it came with a aioli dipping sauce. The chicken sausage was absolutely delicious and juicy. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. The potatoes were nice and crispy on the sides so when I bit into the burrito they was a nice crunch with each bit. There was also guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo and black beans inside. The aioli sauce had a subtle heat element and really made the burrito pop with flavor. I was presently surprised on my first visit and asked myself why I did not visit them earlier. I look forward to many more weekend breakfasts here.

A total gem with delicious food because of high quality ingredients. Breakfast burrito has potatoes and avo in it and the tortilla is grilled so it's crispy. Mouthwatering satisfaction!!! And the aioli dip is a great match. I had my doubts coming here because it looked like a regular boring diner but it's exceptional in the freshness. The breakfast sando is also on quality toast with both ham and bacon; the whole sandwich is well balanced with all the ingredients. Kids meal options are also great. Got a breakfast burrito for the kid and it comes with a lot of fruit which the kid loved. This is a special place! It's not super spacious and often packed, so come prepared! Counter order and then the staff brings plates to your table. There's outdoor swating. Restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a plaza. So unassuming. Parking is off Mentor, up a ramp, if you're lucky.

I went with a friend to Old Town caffe. The cafe is located in the second floor. There is a small adjacent parking lot. We came early in the morning and so we had no trouble finding parking spots. The cafe has a lot of indoor seating. It was clean and had cozy vibes. Their menu includes: breakfast burrito, egg croissants, ham & cheese Croissant, breakfast bagels, salmon scrambled, breakfast sandwiches, Chilaquiles, different types of waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, wraps, salads, vegan options, and more. They have a special menu for kids. In addition, they have fresh drinks, smoothies, lemonades, ice tea, latte, variety of coffee options ,and shakes. I got their chicken sausage burrito. The food was delicious and the portion was huge. My friend ordered a matcha latte and Huevos A La Mexicana. It had scrambled eggs, tomatoes, onion, with sides of potatoes and bread. We both enjoyed our breakfast. The service was very fast. The staff were nice and welcoming. It is a nice cafe to stop by and have a delicious breakfast or lunch. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic breakfast/brunch spot in Pasadena! The location might be easy to miss, but it's located upstairs on the 2nd floor of a plaza above hummus labs and Chams. It has the Urth Cafe vibe- similar food options but also American breakfast offerings like eggs, toast, and bacon/sausage. I had chicken quesadilla for breakfast and loved it. Also really love that they can make an Iced cortado.

I've only had the breakfast burrito and the quality was so good you could tell anything else they made was going to be fire. This place seems to always be busy so be prepared to wait but whatever it is, it's worth it. The dining area looks chill one day I'll have a seat and try out other things on the menu

Always on the hunt for a new breakfast spots, OTC came through with good food and excellent service. No frills decor just a nice mural, tables and chairs. Only gripe was it was somewhat hot but possibly due to where we were seated at. Outdoor seating available. Delicious breakfast burrito w/ pollo sausage, black frijoles potatoes pico guacamole and queso. Their French toast and waffles were delicious as well. Mocha latte was good match was good Americano per son was good. Check them out!

Amazing local breakfast spot. I love that they are open at 7:30am to get your breakfast bright and early. The food portions are just right - not too much and very satisfying. They do a great job in their presentation of their food too! And the taste matches the presentation. Service is attentive and friendly but not overbearing. Cozy interior seating and nice outdoor seating overlooking Colorado blvd. In a very short time, it has become our go-to weekend breakfast spot.

One of my favorite brunch places in Pasadena! Small hole in the wall, located in a plaza on the second floor. It's not normally busy since it's tucked away but I hear it can get busy Sunday mornings after church. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, especially with my toddler. The interior is on the smaller side but there is also seating on the patio. Surprisingly, the food is amazing here. You honestly can't go wrong with anything you order, and the portions are huge! Their coffee is always good, as well. I love taking friends and family whenever they visit our area!

This place is a hidden gem. I enjoy the breakfast sandwiches they have, they're made with good ingredients. They are always kind when we pick up our order, and service is quick. I haven't gotten a chance to eat inside yet but my partner says it's cute + open. Bonus is that they are reasonably priced! Great breakfast spot. read more

First time at Old Town Caffe. First, it is not in Old Town, which is a good thing. They also have free parking in back, so there is no "street parking" issues to stress you out (they do need a bigger, brighter sign in front, as I missed it a few times). The place is small, but Cosy. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Of course, the best part was the food. I ordered the French Toast combo and it came piled with Strawberries and some Blueberries. The French Toast was so flavorful and sweet that no syrup was necessary (although they were kind enough to heat my syrup up when asked). The large drip coffee was big enough that no refills were needed! I looked at what others were eating and it all looked delicious! I recommend this restaurant for a lovely brunch or breakfast. I'll have to come back soon to try the lunch items! Apparently, it has been here a year, but I never knew, and I live in Pasadena! Best kept secret I guess... read more

This place was a very pleasant find on our recent trip to Pasadena. The food is amazing, the people are nice. Don't think the service is slow because there are some hard workers (just a few, it's a small business restaurant) behind the counter preparing your very delicious meal! Arrived for a late breakfast. I ordered some iced tea while others in our group placed orders for food. I did not place a food order because they were out of what I wanted. I reviewed their menu before visiting and had something in mind that I thought would be interesting. The others that ordered food stated that the food was ok, not great or memorable. They seemed short staffed and a little overwhelmed. You have to order at the register and pay, then the food is bought to your table. Place could use a little bit of cleaning. The staff is courteous, the food was ok. Would I visit again, probably not. There are many established options in Pasadena. read more

We are visiting to go to the Rose Parade and pre-day events. We searched for nearby breakfast and found this amazing little family owned cafe. The staff is so kind. The food is absolutely delicious. Popped in and grabbed a breakfast burrito to go. So so good! Great flavor. Fluffy potatoes, black beans, nice portion of eggs, and crisp onion in the pico di gallo stood out to me (I love onion!). Also the aioli has a nice spice to it. Lastly, the burrito is nicely toasted on the outside for a good texture. For the price, the portion size is on point for sure! I happened to find this little cafe and decided to try it for breakfast. All I can say is this is my hidden gem and I don't want to tell how good the food is in addition to the way the operation is set up. You order your food at the counter and if you eat there, they give you a number. The server brings the food out pretty fast and you can be in and out in under 30 minutes depending on what you order. If I tell you how good it is it will no longer be my restaurant on my food rotation because it will be too crowded. The staff must have been trained or worked at a restaurant where they were trained on customer service and food preparations because it appears the owners carried it over to their cafe. Portions of food are quite large for the price and is tasty. So if I recommend this restaurant it will be too crowded for me to enjoy. read more

Food was ok, maybe slightly too greasy for our taste, cofee was not good, and service was really bad. First of all they are asking you to pay up front and then it literally takes forever to get your food. And let's talk about the iced coffee! This is probably one of my favorite things here. I work in the area and parking in Pasadena can be a nightmare, so I usually walk about 15 minutes from work. By the time I get here, especially on a hot day, I'm completely overheated and that iced coffee hits the spot every single time. Definitely recommend getting one! I also love their app. If it's your first time and you download the app, you get $10 off, which I thought was a great incentive. I don't mind paying typical Pasadena prices, but I do think some of the add-on costs could be more reasonable. Overall, though, I really enjoy Wake and Late and it has quickly become my go-to breakfast/lunch spot when I'm working in the area.
