Loved this little place with a lot of history. The burgers were just amazing. The staff were friendly. Highly recommend.

Food and service were outstanding. And the never ending supply of peanuts that you tried onto the floor.

The coffee bar is a standout: huge selection, top-notch equipment, and a steady stream of locals grabbing coffees, smoothies, and pastries. The pastries looked incredible (though I didn't try one myself), and my wife raved about her coffee,it was fantastic. I'd happily return just for those. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the ambiance. My hamburger and my wife's patty melt both had fresh veggies, soft bread, and surprisingly flavorful meat, but the patties were overcooked and extremely dry. Neither the burger bun nor the patty melt bread was toasted (not even lightly), which made a big difference especially for a patty melt, where that grilled texture is key. A little toasting would go a long way toward improving things. Overall, this place shines as a coffee and pastry spot (clearly what most people come for). For a full meal, it needs some tweaks. I'd go back for coffee/pastries, but probably not for burgers right now unless I customize my order. Service was very friendly however it took longer than expected. Having said that, this is place you want to linger. One last thing, they have an amazing selection of stickers that I happen to collect, and they are very reasonably priced!

I had the special (not on the menu, don't remember the name) Pork strips, mushroom gravy, spaetzle and a salad. Salad was interestingly unique with lettuce, carrots, warm cooked potatoe chunks, vinegar and oil dressing. Pretty tasty non breaded pork was tender, mushroom gravy had a nice salty ness to it, spaetzle was soft chewy porous egg pasta though tasteless by itself, good with the gravy mixed in. Mrs had the Hunter's Schnitzel. Essentially the same as my meal with a pounded, breaded thin pork patty. This was good with a fried crunch. Beer and wine served (Trumer German style Pilsner), couple of the owners friendly old dogs wandering around the bar seating, like eating at Grandma's house. Menu changes up often with breakfast, Burgers & Beer, Taco Tuesday. Fun place.

Been trying to get to this place for a while and finally had the chance today. The service, the…read morevibe, the food, everything was just right. Maybe on the pricey side but I think it was very fair for the quality they serve. On a Sunday afternoon it was a constant stream of customers, but they have some indoor seating and plenty of covered outdoor seating with misters. Ketchup and water dispenser available along with packaged condiments like more ketchup, mustard, mayo, and even malt vinegar. Names are called on the speaker and they have several windows to pick up at. Orders are placed inside or outside at the window. It's pretty neat and makes for a perfect blend of updated/nice with great old school charm. I ordered the Guido (pastrami burger), halfsies (family size of fries and onion rings, opted for waffle fries), and a vanilla twisty with heath bar. The Guido is excellent, but you have to know what you're in for. With the pastrami and the deli mustard, it tastes overwhelmingly like a pastrami sandwich and less like a burger. But the patty, cheese, and veggies do add something to it. It's also very messy, but it was delicious. The onion rings were excellent. They have that smooth batter style, sorta kinda like tempura. My wife prefers the panko style so she was more into the fries. For the fries, they were good but I'd probably opt for normal fries next time instead of waffle fries. I was expecting something somewhat similar to chick fil a, but these were a little on the thicker side and almost had the texture of potato wedges. I'm also not a big fry seasoning guy, and these were well seasoned. But that's a me thing. We still ate them all and you know when I come back I'm not leaving here without fries. The twisty was really good. I might be the only one, but I'm such a sucker for heath bar when I saw it on the menu I had to order it. The ice cream was really good quality. Had a great texture and taste. They were generous with the heath bar. I'm aware I took down a disgusting amount of food, but I think if I could change one thing I'd get the larger size of the twisty next time. It was really good. Wish they had a location closer than 30 mins up the hill, but that won't stop me. Note that my wife asked about the black bean patty and it has cheese in it so it is vegetarian but not dairy free or vegan. So if you go that way, there's that. Not much for you besides fries and dole whip.

I went w the Guido adding pastrami to their 1/3 lb patty. Their homemade burger sauce is a thousand island relative. Maybe a touch too much sauce but uber tasty. My wife had the Double D burger - double the patty!!! The waffle fries were well prepared and wonderfully seasoned - maybe some of the best fries seasoning in a long while. Mom took on the "cream" side w a Mocha Malt. It was thick and wonderful. The place is a counter order then pick up but that's just fine. It is nothing fancy inside but it gets the job done....Some small fly battles but great food. We will absolutely be coming back!

I was one of the pie people. Having had Ikeda's Marionberry Pie before, I knew the quality and expected such. The quality was there and I liked how the pies were readily available for you to grab and go. What made a terrible impression and made this visit one I wish I did not take, making me give 3 stars out of 5, was the young woman who checked me out. I ordered 4 pies and two were gifts so I asked for two extra bags. She answered in an annoyed way that they're $.25 each. No problem I said and paid for them. This extra one minute really seemed to have bothered her and it's terrible that she made me feel unvalued in such a short amount of time. She seemed to be eager to help the party behind me, which is great but she had no finesse in her customer service. I believe she could've made my experience completely different and still acknowledge the people after me. She made it seem as if I'm less important of a customer than they were. She also didn't bag my 4th pie which was awkward because she gave me the bags there. I'll be back but I won't be in a hurry like I was before. These small personal nuances are what makes small businesses great. When you're client facing it's so important to know this. It doesn't take much to be kind or provide great service.
