Another great hot pot addition to the City of Aurora and Havana Street! This AYCE location offers a good selection of meat, veggies, and seafood. In addition, dumplings and seafood pancakes are included. A couple of items that are offered here that I haven't seen at other hot pot locations are the baby octopus (better than squid) and the lobster balls. The space is large and seems well cleaned and maintained. Gloves are provided and required at the sauce bar, which is a nice hygienic way to try to keep patrons a little healthier. But let's face it, it's still an AYCE hot pot, so is hygiene really your main priority? The staff are very kind and attentive. The one thing that this place lacks (mainly from a child's perspective) is ice cream. However, they offer a jasmine milk tea with custard dessert which is excellent. It's a more traditional flavor and not very sweet. Great for me. Not so good to the kids. It's a little farther from home than some other options, but I'm a big fan of Old Town Hot Pot. I've been here twice in the last month, and I'm sure that trend will continue. read more

There aren't really any hot pot places in Colorado that blow me away, but I like this place and Aki the best. If you have a large party, it's convenient because you can reserve a table! If not, I know the wait can be a while depending on the day. They are one of the few hot pot places with crab, but I typically avoid seafood in Colorado in general. Especially because it's no secret that the crab and other seafood is frozen. The meat is fine and same thing with other ingredients, including the sauce bar. My favorite part was the dessert they give you at the end (idk the name of it but it was delicious) The location is nice as well, being so close to HMart, Karaoke, and Tous les Jour. 4 stars because the service was great. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and they took the cake so we could make it a secret for our friend. They also gave us a knife, forks, and plates to eat the cake with! Meats very really nice, great portions and didnt look sad unlike a lot of AYCE places. The veggies were so fresh, I have never been this happy with the quality of veggies at any AYCE hotpot even in other cities. They also have seafood pancake as part of the AYCE menu, doesn't have other appetizers like egg rolls so no biggie. One of the sad part was the Chinese doughnuts, they were not fresh, felt like they were kept since forever or they just thawed them and didn't fry after thawing, so may be skip that or see if you have better luck with them being warm/fried. There is a dessert with milk tea and jelly that is very light and refreshing, only AYCE hot pot where the dessert was actually worth eating. Going back again next week. read more

It's a great find. We saw a YouTube review by a local Asian dude. So glad we came. (Dave Chung) Unlike the other place I reviewed (Chubby Cattle). Their hours is clear and no hidden break hours. It's a great place. Large and nice decorated with a life size rickshaw in the front. You can order anything you want on the menu but just make sure you can finish. We don't want to waste food and the restaurant stated that they will charge if you leave large portions. Love the freshness on the meat , seafood, veggies. And big selection of sauces in the sauce station. My son loved the dumplings. It was literally all you can eat dumpling for him. The waitress was so kind as well, reminded us there is dessert that was included - caramel jelly in milk tea. So yummy. We only asked for one cause we were all so full. It's another typical cold day in Colorado where it's snowing but the snow is not sticking to the ground so it's still somewhat safe to drive out for lunch. The interior of Old Town is really nice. It's spacious and bright. There are lots of seating and the parking lot is big but it's still really busy even when we arrived at 1pm. The staff is friendly and our waitress constantly checked in on us. Everything is done on a little machine that they carry around. The AYCE option is quite affordable and I can see why this is the hot pot is so popular. The pig born broth was really good. You can always ask your waitress for my broth when the level has lowered. There's a good selection of meat options. We ordered the brisket, fatty beef, pork belly, and lamb. Each are thinly sliced so it cooks quick in your hot pot. There are lots of veggie options. I highly recommend you get the fish ball with stuffing. That was delicious. The meal ends with dessert and it's a simple tea pudding. It's not too sweet but the perfect balance to your hot pot meal. Spontaneously came here for a last-minute dinner, as we were craving hot pot and heard such great things about this location. Portions are very small. Threw up in the bathroom; not sure if it was from the food or bathroom odor, but the smell was horrendous. Server was so aggressive and didn't properly answer our questions; it's like she was just trying to get us to order whatever we asked about, without any information. Daniel came across our table and we were able to order some items from him throughout our time here. He was more informative than our initial server and made us feel better about this visit. I've been a big fan of hot pot for awhile and tried a bunch of the spots in Denver. The pros include the variety of great broth flavors, the seafood, and the space. Their meats are not my favorite, however. Details below. All you can eat for $26? I don't know who is complaining about that... even the $4 charge for unfinished plates isn't that bad considering the value you get. THE BROTH Love that their "spicy" isn't overwhelming on the oil and Szechuan, but you can also pick up lots more oil, chilis, and spice at their dips section if you need it. Great flavor. My friend got the tomato, and it was also delicious. Almost like a Tom Yum flavor. I may actually do that next time and add spice from the dips bar instead. They also keep refilling your broth the whole time. THE FOOD Loved the seafood, but was ok on the meats (main reason for 4 stars and not 5). The whole blue crab is awesome, as are the huge cherrystone clams and the lobster balls. Of the meats, I honestly thought the tripe and spam were the best part. The thinly sliced brisket, fatty beef, and pork belly were just ok. PRO TIP: Explore some of the more unique meat options and the seafood -- but start with just 1 sliced meat dish. They're the hardest to finish. THE SPACE It's a big, airy space with spacious tables (so you never feel like everything doesn't fit). Doesn't feel overly big inside though, because they have chest-high dividers to split the restaurant into slightly cozier spaces. PRO TIP: Yes, it's a big space, but they don't take reservations for groups less than 6 people, and they can get packed for dinner -- so show up early. read more

HOT POT BUFFT AYCE YES PLEASE!! Just saw my friend here with fresh blue crab of course we will be here too!! When we got here around 5pm Sunday is not that busy. The sitting area is huge just like for a real buffet. But for weekend no 7 people and over for one table. Service is great! They are many waitress around to help you. We order most of the item on it and start Hot Pot Buffet with the broth of your choosing. There is a big menu with all the item on it and picture with it so you know what you are ordering. Seafood are very fresh. Unfortunately they are out of Oyster. The MEAT is ok. It was cut way too thin so by the time you pick it up to eat was shrank by a lot. Especially the INTESTINE!!! Is nice they have it but once is in the pot it shrank to a mini mini size. All the vegetable is very fresh too. Is a great place if you love SEAFOOD but make sure they have the Blue Crab or Oyster if that is what you are looking forward to before you go!!! The MEAT is ok. We will BE BACK!!! read more

This was an ~experience~ that I can't stop thinking about! Choose your soup base, noodles and bottomless ingredients (they encourage no food waste with fees - only order what you need), and throw it in to cook at your pace. You can't go wrong - so don't worry about making a mistake - everything tastes SO GOOD. The price for an adult is your average buffet price and was very reasonable for all you get. Our server was able to explain everything to us and answered all of our questions without a hitch. And we had a lot of questions! The restaurant was filled with the chatter of friends and family, with the beeps of each hot plate firing up in between. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; I can't say enough good things about this place! They don't take reservations for smaller parties so get there before a rush to snag a seat. As good as I expected! What surprised me was how BIG the restaurant is; reminds me of one of those Chinese Buffet restaurants. The eight of us got a long table in one of the dining hall rooms not too far from the sauce and toppings station. I have no idea how much each all-you-can-eat hot pot is as our friend paid, which was a real treat because the food just came non-stop! I asked for the Dark Chicken broth; next time I'd love to try the Herbal broth and even the Tomato based broth. I loved all the thinly sliced beef and pork, especially the ones with fat on them. Our friend's best tip was to order a live crab to throw in the broth when it first started boiling. Everything I had was wonderful and the wait staff very accommodating. At the end we couldn't finish absolutely everything (for example, the intestines were too chewy to be consumable) especially after they served us dessert (included). I'll surely be back! read more

Very solid hot pot with some items that you don't find on every hot pot menu! It's AYCE here, and you order the items which then are brought to you--different from other AYCE hot pot I've been to where everything is out on a buffet line and you grab the items yourself. There are pros and cons to each style, I think. With the way this place does it, I like that you don't have to get up and leave your pot unattended to grab more items. However it does mean that you need to wait for someone to take your order and then for someone to bring it to you. They have all the standard broth options, and the tomato broth is quite nice and adds a slight tanginess to everything you cook in it. They have a really extensive menu of hot pot items, including blue crab which I've never seen at hot pot before. That was a really nice treat, especially since you get the "crab miso" by cooking the whole crab. Vegetables are fresh, and overall it was a very pleasant hot pot experience! read more

Heard about a new AYCE hotpot restaurant that had a grand opening, and as a hotpot lover, wanted to give this place a try. And after paying Old Town Hot Pot two visits, I am definitely ready to give this restaurant a recommendation! The service from my last two visits (during lunch rush around 12pm/1pm) was good, the wait staff was attentive given how busy lunch usually is. They were always willing to accommodate any requests we had on missing orders and broth/water refills. The menu was good, lots of pictures of everything they serve. They do have a 2 hour time limit just as a heads up. I was able to try the Pork Bone broth and the Herbal broth, and personally I liked the Pork Bone broth a bit more. I'm someone who enjoys a harder hitting flavored broth, and the herbal was good, but just a bit more subdued. As always, flavor is always down to personal preference. We ordered a good variety of food from meats to seafood to vegetables. I really liked how they provide options that other hot pot places don't have, like crab and big clams. The sauce bar was also more complete compared to other AYCE hot pot restaurants that I've been to, which was another feature I liked. The Jasmine milk pudding dessert was delicious, very strong jasmine floral taste and cools you down after consuming lots of hot pot. The price for the AYCE option was $23, and that is definitely a good price given the quality of the ingredients and service. This is a location that I would definitely like to revisit again in the future and I can definitely say I would recommend you give Old Town Hot Pot a try! read more

Totally fun dining experience. You can choose from 7 different types of broths. I went with the standard and added some spices. So much fun to cook your own food. The beef and pork cooked in 1 minute and become almost spaghetti like. We had quail eggs, Chinese yams, taro root, sausage, dumplings, bok choy and more. The seafood cake was a big hit. The included dessert was a little too floral for me. Definitely worth a try. Great service! read more

Great place! Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday around 2:30pm (past the rush) and the servers were very quick and the food came out fast. I can appreciate that they give the meat portions out generously and also do warn you ahead of time to limit to 2 servings of meat and then adding on since there is a wasted food charge. This place gets bonus points just for being open on Christmas Day. I wasn't up for putting together a Christmas feast this year, so we lucked out that Old Town Hot Pot happened to be open on a holiday when most places are closed. We came here in the early afternoon, which is their slow time. The wait was 15 minutes, so I can only imagine what it's like during the dinner rush. Make a reservation if you can rally a group of at least six people (the minimum for a reservation). Pro-tip: Either bring your own crab cracker or ask for one when you place your original order if you're ordering one of the blue crabs. I ended up sitting around for a while staring at my crab and asking not once, not twice, but three times for a crab cracker. They have a two-hour limit here, so I'm not sure if it was intentional or if it was just an oversight. The selection of hot pot ingredients is huge. There is something for everyone. My kid basically just ate corn and dumplings cooked in soup. I sampled as much seafood as I could, while my husband feasted on fatty beef, brisket AND pork belly. I definitely just found my new favorite hot pot place here in Colorado. Service was excellent. They were all very friendly and attentive. This place is still relatively new, and its super clean. Wait can be long if you come on weekends or evenings so plan accordingly. As for the broth, I tried the Dark Chicken Broth which was delicious. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more pieces of the Dark Chicken but I can't blame them since this type of chicken is a delicacy in many asian cultures. Once you are running low on broth, they do come around and put more broth into your bowl. The selection of AYCE items is amazing! They have all different types of meat such as lamb, beef and pork. So glad this place opened!! While Mr. Panda was iconic in Aurora, I have no doubt that Old Town Hot Pot will also be a staple for so many!! They have a variety of broths to pick from. Herbal is always my go-to and it was so flavorful and aromatic! Everything tasted seriously delicious and at the end they give you a dessert, which seemed to be some sort of tea/pudding dessert that has a really nice and clean subtle flavor. I absolutely loved it!! Also, the staff was so amazing!! They were wearing gloves and masks and very attentive to ensuring the health and safety of customers. The restaurant itself is huge with tons of seating! They have hand-painted art on the walls and overall the place just has a great vibe and atmosphere. Their pots are super aesthetic - perfect for your social media posting needs!!! I believe I saw a couple rooms for extra-large parties, so I would definitely love to have a celebration here sometime, maybe when it is a little less busy!! They had a rough grand opening with the dinner rush, felt bad for the wait staff this past weekend. Official grand opening was on 5/29 over the Memorial Day weekend. Made reservation for 7PM and seemed like even though the location was huge and airy, they were a little backed up from 2 large parties in the separate rooms. I ordered the Mala Spicy broth and I can truly say that it had one of the best, robust flavor for the spicy broth, especially compared to other hot pot places in town. The wait staff would also explain how much comes per order of the items so you can gauge how much food you should order and not have any food waste. They have some menu items not found in other hot pot locations - blue crab, you tiao, oysters, brisket (most places just has either fatty beef or sirloin, not multiple selections)...etc. All the ingredients were prepped fresh and there were a plethora of selections, I was really impressed with the quality and the quantity. Not to mention the little hot pots were super adorable. The lid can be hot so be careful when removing the lid. When we showed up Saturday, there was a little bit of delay in getting in the order. I recommend if you're hungry, try to order everything upfront instead of ordering in waves. We ended up just doing 1 super large order and it was enough for everyone. There were a few large groups that didn't do what we did and waited awhile each wave of order, they ended up not being kind to the employees there. I wish everyone would be understanding of a new restaurant getting their bearings on a grand opening day and being short staffed. Wow. Old Town Hot Pot enters the restaurant scene and scores a knock out. This used to be Mr. Panda Super Buffet, and it has transformed into an amazing AYCE Hot Pot experience. This restaurant is massive. Like 250+ seating massive. Which is awesome considering how long waits have been at other hot pot restaurants during the pandemic. During the soft opening, the tables were set up so we were socially distant and safe to take our masks off. Now let's talk about the menu. Old Town Hot Pot does not skimp on meat. There's fatty beef for people like me who love the fatty flavor, and there's leaner brisket for those who don't care for fat. There's an array of seafood selections including crab and shrimp. There's a large selection of classic Chinese veggies. And my favorite: fried breadsticks. This menu is great and affordable at around $25 for AYCE. This price is very competitive compared to the other restaurants in town. When you're done with your meal and feel like you can't eat more. Craving hot pot so decided to grab a friend and come here. Seated right away even before he arrived which was nice because some places want everyone in your party there before you can get seated. This gave me the chance to check out the place and learn the ordering method. Which was front and center in the menu. Asked location of the sauce station and we were set. Ordered hot tea and water. We both went with kimchi soup and we got shrimp, clams, mussels, fish balls, quail eggs, lotus root, spinach, bok choy, wintermelon, fried bread stick, tofu skin roll and fried tofu. We also got shandong and udon noodles. We made our way to the sauce station and picked our sauces. There was rice there too so we grabbed a bowl each. Everything came quickly and we turned on the burners and started cooking. One of the clams never opened so it wasn't fresh but otherwise the seafood was delish. I was sad they ran out of oysters. The quail eggs were yum and fried tofu scrumptious. Tofu skin roll was a little limp and the fried breadsticks would have been better if they were warmed up. The soup also made that too limp. If they were warmed we could have dipped them. Veggies were good. Server was great and the other servers also checked on us which was nice. Everything was great and we should have left. But I needed the restroom so we went. The restrooms smell. That's a kind way of putting it. I couldn't exit fast enough. My advice? Come for the food and leave before you need a restroom. read more

Here everything is clean, fresh, and the sauces you make aren't overly salty already so when you mix it yourself it tastes good and you can dip liberally! The broths are also clean and not too salty and I enjoyed drinking the soup. Mine was pork bone broth and there was a huge chunk of pork bone in it and it was so tasty. It's all you can eat for $28.99 for adults and that comes with great quality meats, tons of veggies, tofu, noodles, and a seafood pancake. You can also get crab even though I don't really know how to eat it! This is top tier! Came before dinner rush and service was fast and even after the crowds came, our server was still attentive and came and refilled everything.
