Went out with a friend. We ordered the Special Dinner for Two. So much food! easily enough for three people. Everything was great! The restaurant was really busy, but the food came out quickly. I would say the worst part of the evening was that the music was a bit too loud. Very reasonable price for the enormous amount of food and sides. Crispy fish, tender meat, tasty Kim Chi. The egg dish thingy was not my favorite, but if you drench it in Soy sauce and sides, mmmm very yummy! Either I'm stupid or the soy sauce dispensers are pretty but worthless. I eat a lottttt of KBBQ. I've had the fancy quality type and the cheap all you can eat type too. Both good for different occasions and different reasons. Old Village is a good in between. It's a little on the pricier side for me, but you can control how much food you get by the orders and for 6 people we ordered the Seafood pancake, Trio Pork Belly (minimum 2 orders), Bulgogi, and Brisket which was just enough for us. If I had to do it again, I'd order something else instead of Pork Belly, just because it was a minimum of 2 orders. Service was really good though, very attentive and very quick. My little family LOVED our experience here. Fantastic service, delicious food served in a wonderful decor. For those who say this place is dangerous for kids, I must disagree. I brought my young daughter here and explained to her about the table cooking. It's important to note that Old Village also offers tables without the table grill, so if you don't think your children will be well behaved, you may opt to seat elsewhere while still enjoying the fabulous food. It doesn't seem fair to slam an establishment for my own ignorance. Ditto for anyone who shows up at a Korean [insert name of any other non-English speaking country] restaurant and complains about the language barrier. Old Village is a pretty good Korean BBQ spot on Aurora - It's a little pricey, but the food was great quality. They can definitely work on better service, as it was fairly slow on a slow day. I would definitely come back hoping it'll be a better experience. read more

This was my second visit, and perhaps I'm just cheap but it seems strange to pay more to cook the meat yourself. The first time I came was with a big group, we grilled stuff, and it was okay. The second time was with two other people and we each just got a rice bowl. We were confused why there was little flavor in the bowls, so we kept adding more and more soy sauce. Then we finally realized the random broth bowls she had set down [next to all the other little bowls] were supposed to be poured over our dishes. Finally our food had flavor for the last several bites. Also, my bibimbap had lettuce in it. Which was just gross and weird. We were the only non-Asian people in the restaurant, and I didn't happen to notice how our waitress interacted with the other customers but she was super rude to us. She kept coming by to ask if we needed anything, and then would huff off without a word of acknowledgement after we'd say something. We had to wait quite a while for our bill, even though we pressed the help button and tried to waive at our waitress. I'd rather just get tasty food somewhere I feel more welcome. read more

We were regular at this place and most of the experiences was good, the waitresses are friendly. However, there were TWO times we went there when the owner was in charge. The owner was super rude. The last time, we walked in when they was busy, so we waited by the door for them. The owner passed by us three times and didn't even say things like" we will be with you", and she just pretended she didn't see us. During the time, she even chatted with a leaving customer just right in front of us.... After we waited for 5+ mins, she came to us and took our names and she just left! So we asked how long is the wait and she told us it's gonna be 20mins waiting.....we just left and didn't feel like staying one more minute.... This review is based upon the following factors: cost, meal quality, quantity, service, and atmosphere. Intro - I went to Old Village on a Sunday evening with three other people. We'd never tried Korean BBQ before and were looking for a new experience. When asked, we requested to be sat at a BBQ table, not really understanding the difference. Here is how it went. Atmosphere - Upon entering the restaurant I first noticed it was very clean and looked as though it had recently been remodeled. (The tables were new, no stains on the walls or floors, etc.) The BBQ table we were sat at looked very nice. The grill in the middle was fairly clean, besides a few bits of ash. This is the only truly nice thing I have to say about this restaurant. Service - I don't believe our server (or any of the servers, for that matter), spoke English. She said as little as possible to us and barely acknowledged that she understood us. She was not very nice either. In fact, she seemed a bit annoyed that we were there. We had quite a wait between the time we were sat and when she came back to take our orders. The food came up fairly quickly. Our server started the BBQ device and began putting some of the meat onto the BBQ grill then walked away. Having never been to a Korean BBQ before, I assumed it was like hibachi and that it would be cooked in front of us by the server. However, our server did not return and I began to worry over the state of wellness the meat she'd put on the grill. I began turning the meat myself. I called for the server and was informed that we were to cook our own food. She snickered at me, actually. At this point, there was very little "service" involved with our experience. Getting refills took forever and the server forgot to split our checks. Also, as we were about to leave several servers were having a very loud argument in the back seating areas. I thought that was very unprofessional. Cost - Overpriced. As I said before, we sat at a BBQ table. We found out, according to the menu. that we had to purchase more than 2 orders for the BBQ in order to sit there. Very annoying, since the cheapest BBQ menu item was $16.95. and we would have rather purchase only one or two BBQ items and other menu items as well. Also, there was a price discrepancy between menus. One of us received a menu which had stickers over the prices that raised the prices by 2 or more dollars. This is a bad oversight on their behalf. Now we were hesitant to buy any menu items that had been repriced on that menu. Quantity - For the prices we were being charged for these items, I expected large portions. However, again I was sadly disappointed. I ordered the thin sliced brisket. The meat portion was ok, though a little light. I received a small bowl of rice, which I could call my own. Everything else was to be split among the rest of us. There was a bowl of salad to split, and about 7 tiny bowls with itty bitty bits of sides. I supposed every one was to receive a teaspoon or less of the bean sprouts, kimchi, mashed potato-like substance, yam, etc. They were good, but I don't really think I even got a full bite of each. I left the restaurant not full. Quality - All of the ingredients were fresh, I'll say that. It was very simple food. However, the truth is I had to cook all of the food. Cooking was exactly what I was trying to escape by going out to eat. It wasn't exactly easy either. I was cooking on a flame that I had no control over. It kept going from being really high and cooking the meat too fast or really low and taking time to cook the meat. Overall - I would say this was a very bad dining experience. I could have, perhaps, felt better about the experience if any of my criteria other than atmosphere had been very good. If cost were less, I could say "Well, at least it was cheap.". If portions had been large then at least I would have felt I'd gotten my money's worth. If service had been better, I might have felt that it was, at least, a memorable experience. Instead, I came away paying $20 a person feeling ripped off and still slightly hungry. read more

THE BOTTOM LINE: Unpleasant experience with DISHONESTY with a food order today, staff generally indifferent unless you speak Korean, meat is overpriced for quality and quantity, some good food items, comfortable seating, convenient location The unpleasant situation: WE ORDERED KALBI, BUT WHAT THEY BROUGHT US WAS NOT KALBI. WHEN I CONFRONTED THEM ABOUT IT, THEY BLATANTLY LIED TO TRY TO COVER IT UP. Today I had to confront one of the staff members about meat not being what they said it was. Have been here multiple times for charcoal bbq, and had no problem with the meat orders and actually really enjoyed it. This time, we wanted to try some of the soups, so we ordered one spicy beef soup, and one pork dumpling beef soup. Both were good, except there was almost no meat at all in the spicy beef soup. We ordered one side order of beef kalbi (beef short ribs), which is grilled by the kitchen staff. First of all, one order was $26, which is completely overpriced for the quality and quantity. But more disturbing was the fact that they ***gave us meat that was clearly not short ribs*** but rather a leaner cut of meat such as round cut. I'm not a chef, but I know the difference between rib meat and a leaner cut. First of all, there was literally no fat at all on the meat. No matter how you grill/cook meat with high fat content (~30% according to wolframalpha.com), there's no way that the fat would completely disappear! The meat was more similar to eating venison in terms of fat content, which is very lean meat. Second, the meat was completely overcooked and so tough that we had to soak it in our soup. On top of that, the seasoning was so bland that I ended up eating with kimchi to get any flavor. It was very obvious that it was different meat; the grain, the color, and the texture was completely different than short rib meat. Unfortunately for them, they had put two pieces of ribs on the bone on the place with some meat, so we had a good comparison for all of these characteristics. It did seem like they did that to try to pass off that all of the meat came from the short rib, the meat on the bone was so obviously displayed on the top of the pile, masking the leaner pieces on the bottom. When we confronted the waitress, she was immediately defensive. She tried to turn it around that we didn't bring it up and that the meat is always the same as ever. She said that the reason it looked different is because the meat is taken off the bone before grilling, and therefore we must have mistaken the meat for another cut because we didn't see bones (uhm...really?) She was clearly upset that we had brought up the issue, and even asked why we never brought it up during the meal. I showed her the meat, and had to calmly explain to her all of the problems with her claim that this fat-free burnt piece of cardboard could have come from a cut that contains 30% fat. I think when she realized that she couldn't pull a fast one on me, she let up and apologized and said she'd talk to the chef. I don't usually like to give such negative reviews or assume that anyone is lying, but it was very obvious that there was some dishonesty happening in the restaurant. Their other food items such as the soups were really good and I think fair for the price ($9-10 a bowl with rice and side dishes). I think we were both unhappy about being treated with such a defensive stance and shadiness about it. Despite that, the soups we had actually tasted very good, and we were okay with our previous experiences. But I don't know, when you try to pull a fast one and then be dishonest about it to my face...as a customer, it makes me think twice about ever returning. I'm still on the search for great Korean BBQ in the Seattle area. This isn't it. The service was probably the worst part of the whole experience. The food itself was fine, nothing to write home about, but nothing terrible, either. A good Korean BBQ requires many attentive servers making sure their customers are happy. We went on a Friday and the restaurant wasn't packed, but they still appeared to be short staffed. I had to repeatedly ask for more sides, sauces, lettuce, and water. It took us a large chunk of time to hunt them down for our check, too. For the price, the service was certainly not worth it. read more

Traditional charcoal Korean barbecue indoors? There are a couple dozen Korean barbecue restaurants on Aurora, but Old Village has a charm to it that the other restaurants simply are not able to replicate. Staff at the restaurant was quite friendly and often gave us background information about the various menu items including their significance in Korean tradition. Although the idea of an indoor charcoal Korean barbecue restaurant is intriguing enough for patrons to visit simply for the experience, it is the quality of meats and various other entrees that keep us returning to the restaurant time and time again. For those that argue that the flavors from a gas burner and a charcoal grill are subtle and not worth the visit; stop wasting our quality meat. In regards to owning a grill, the majority of us purchase gas burners because they are easier to use and for amateur chefs it is relatively easier to maintain a constant cooking temperature. However, at Old Village, the staff is readily available to take care of these pedantry tasks so diners can enjoy their meal without worrying about restoking the fire or cleaning off the grill. In addition, charcoal grills, such as those used at Old Village, provide an additional smoky flavor to the meat and, because the temperature of the coals burn hotter than that of gas grills, locks in the juices of the meat more rapidly. While it may be difficult for amateur diners to cook the meet properly and avoid overcooking, the experience is worth the journey and the staff is constantly on hand to assist and teach you in the nuances of charcoal cooking. In summary, the service is outstanding and the quality meats only get better when cooked properly on the charcoal grill. Although a bit expensive, it was a unique experience definitely worth sharing with friends. read more

Very good Korean BBQ with generous portions. I love the fact that they serve a heaping bowl of salad to go with the meal (really like the dressing too). The staff was attentive and kept coming by to refill our side dishes and water (despite the fact that it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy). With two friends, made my third visit to Old Village on a Friday night. SInce I was last there, the place has been extensively remodeled, and now has the sheen of a typical upscale Koreatown (LA) place. Everything we ordered was good, from the roasted-barley-and-corn tea served hot as soon as we sat down through the excellent kyoza dumpling soup (which might have been served hotter), the bulgogi (rib steak) the galbi (marinated short ribs) and the fresh bacon (= pork belly). We grilled the meats over charcoal right at the table. The banchan (side dishes, including kimchi) were excellent. Service was prompt, informed, friendly, and speedy. (What was wanting was better beer: like most Korean restaurants, Old Village serves only OB and Hite, both Korean, which are terrible. The proprietors would do well to stock some of the excellent Northwest beers; any of many IPAs, for example, would complement the wonderfully savory and spicy food.) If you haven't tried Korean cuisine, here's as good a place to start as you'll find. If you already know it, you'll appreciate Old Village & its many offerings all the more. read more

I'm beyond angry with this place.. Even the next day. The food was good but not close to worth the price and the staff treated us terribly while we were there. I have never been to a Korean BBQ and we were trying to make the best of the night waiting for the tow truck to come when we stumbled upon this restaurant. The place is nice.. Way nicer than expected from the outside and we were excited to try the grill out. But when handed the menu we were told to order two things to be able to turn it on.. Fair enough (except everything was 30+) We saw that one of the tables we walked by had a good spread of meats, so I asked the waiter what they had. He said a pot.... So I wanted to get a pot and the rib eye. He said again I need to figure out what two things I wanted and then pointed to one of the pages. Just meat. He laughed and said he would give us more time. I didn't need more time but more of a suggestion, so when he came back I asked. He flipped the page and recommend something that wasn't on the meat page ( I told him a few times I was excited to try the grill.. And his suggestion was $50) so we tried to order again... That suggestion and the rib eye. Treating me like I was just stupid he said that the kitchen would make it med rare and left. (You could have literally given me the same order that table I pointed out twice and it would have been fine!) At that point the tow arrived so my boyfriend went to handle that while I waited for food. The entire time, each member of the staff came out and gave me weird looks and with the kitchen and a thin veil of beads not being far away they all took their turn laughing thinking I was ditched. Food came out and I started without my boyfriend, I was starving and the rib eye was well on its way to being well done on the sizzling skillet as soon as it was set down. Bf finally returned and we tried to make the most out of everything and keep a smile on our faces. When it was time to go, a girl set down a container and opened a bag.. Making it look like you put food in the bag and put it in the container. I was hesitant and asked and she didnt reach over to help she just looked at me like I was the dumbest person and said its to hold the container. She walked to the register (that's probably 7 feet away) and they both laughed "haha I know!" I loudly said I am not Korean and I obviously don't know what to do here. We left a good tip because we always do.. On an $80 overpriced dinner I didn't feel right leaving nothing even though thats what was deserved. It didn't really hit me how bad we were treated until we left. I am beyond disappointed and will jot return or recommend this place. It could have been a great spot too, it has such potential. But for running an over priced ok tasting place with terrible, rude staff... I'll wait in the rain next time, or walk across the street to Mcdonalds at least their fried don't come with a side of ridiculous judgement. I honestly wish that this could be rated lower. read more

Old Village is definitely one of the better Korean restaurants in Seattle - note, I said Seattle and not necessarily Tacoma or Federal Way where there are more and better restaurants. But seeing as I live in Seattle and don't feel like driving 30+ minutes to get food, Old Village is a great alternative. I'm actually Korean, so my standards for good Korean food may be a little different and/or higher than your average patron (in my humble opinion, anyway). On that note, they have pretty decent side dishes and cuts of meat. I've had some of their hot pots here as well, and they were quite tasty. A lot of people complain about the service - but truth be told, unfortunately, service at any Korean restaurant in any city at any given time is going to be pretty "meh"... They don't fawn over you or constantly refill your cup like other restaurants. Most likely you're going to have to ask for things, sometimes repeatedly. That's actually why they have a bell at each table (just like in Korea). When you're ready to order or you need something, you push the bell and they come to your table. Otherwise, they don't know that you need/want anything. Also, customers beware! The curse of smelling like meat once you leave the restaurant. But... duh, it's to be expected right? You're in an enclosed space where people are grilling meat at every table... well worth it, though :) read more

Started the meal reflecting that perhaps I'm spoiled from excellent quality and value kbbq having lived in southern California. But then I ended the meal feeling that still plus a blanket of disappointment when I saw the check. Ordered the bulgogi ($24.95) and 2 orders of pork bacon/belly ($17.95). The menu had a sticker next to the pork belly saying you were required to order 2 of this item, and so we did. What came when it was served was one baking sheet sized platter with all the meat... worth $60. I couldn't believe my eyes. Additionally, the pork belly was required to be cooked on a gas griller that sat to the side of the charcoal grill. We came for what they're known for, which is the charcoal grill, and now we weren't allowed to use it? The bulgogi and pork belly quality were acceptable, nothing particularly spectacular. The bulgogi was allowed to be cooked on the charcoal grill and didn't taste anything different from the normal gas grills besides cooking a bit faster. When it came time to experience the meats, I noticed they only had the basic oil (some kind of clear oil, NOT sesame oil) plus salt in a small dish. Dipping the meat in this was simply meaningless. It was just adding salt to the meat that was already covered in its own oil. The sauce added no extra flavor or aroma. Upon asking for other sauces, we were brought a 3 slot dish with garlic, bean paste and jalapenos. Talk about confusion, these are kbbq sauces? What happened to the sesame oil? Soy sauce? They also had no rice paper! Now to the sides, 8 dishes of standard sides in minuscule portions, such as 2 pieces of tofu, 2 bite sized pancake pieces and 2 spoonfuls of mac and cheese (not potato salad!). To top it all off, to refill the dishes meant a $5 charge. There literally was one thing that went right with kbbq here, and that was the just moderately acceptable meat quality. The ridiculous prices, tiny portion sizes, service with attitude, and no refill of anything during the meal means I will never come back here. read more

i've been to old village quite a few times, and the food is consistently prepared well and authentically as to my "homemade" standards. i've had many of the appetizers, soups and stews, and each dish has exceeded my expectations (especially for a BBQ spot). the seafood and kimchi pancake is one of my favorite starters, and it's seasoned perfectly with generous amounts of seafood, green onion, and spice. the BBQ selection is decent as well... they offer a variety of meats, vegetables, and seafood, so there is something for everyone to enjoy at the grill. they are extremely generous with the panchan, and your server will certainly not let your kimchi dish go empty for more than a few seconds. i'm definitely a regular at old village now, and will be for a long time to come! :) read more

They did the bait and switch with a bottle of wine (said it was Italian and gave us cheap Californian). Korean BBQ novice heads to this place after a foray to Puetz on Aurora: to sit at the do it yourself BBQ even though there's just two of us, or order off the regular menu?? Decided on the BBQ since we were there and could get the regular stuff anywhere. I chose the kalbi and he chose spicy pork. The waitress brings out a giant bowl of green salad, which was crispy and had a nice dressing. She gave us zero guidance so we just started putting stuff on the grill. Seems kind of gross to use the same tongs to put the meat on the grill, turn it and then serve with so we ended using our chopsticks. The heat could have been higher because it seemed to take forever for this stuff to cook. The kalbi was really tough and you kind of had to tear it apart with your fingers for fear of pulling out your front teeth. The thin cut pork was more tender, but kind of a strange texture. It was also a bit too spicy for my taste. I liked about four of the little sides - bean sprouts, fish cake thing, mac salad and the napa kimchee. They gave you one mushroom and one slice of onion to grill, so there was not much in the way of vegetables, unless you bought a whole portion. Kind of spendy for the two of us and not sure I'd go back. I think the way to go is the all you can eat places so you can try a bit of everything. Next time I think we either have to go further north to Lynnwood or down south to Federal Way. read more

Expensive and bad service. Didn't get water until we were almost halfway through our food. They told us they didn't have any clean cups and that we should just wait. Never apologized. Even when we got water, one of us was given a tiny tea cup for water and told that they don't have enough clean cups. Worst is, they never even came to refill water for us (despite giving us a tiny tea cup). Also charged us mandatory tip so we can't even complain through low tips. read more

My favorite korean place in Seattle so far. Good food, high quality meats/fresh veggies. Renovated to provide a good mix of good food, loud atmosphere and soju.. can't go wrong with that. The two ajjumas working the place work really hard and are very nice. Sometimes if it is busy you will have to be loud to get service but that is just how it is in korean dining. Don't be timid and think that they don't care about you. This is definitely a place I would bring a non-korean friend, to introduce them to our food and culture. Yes yes, I've eaten better food in LA and in the motherland but this gets pretty close for a decent price. Happy eating. read more

You should never come here this place has terrible foods and bad service. When we came to this place and no one was there even though I called out. After five min they finally can out the server lady had a crappy mood and handed her crappy mood to us making us feel bad. We ordered a soup, and the taste of it was terrible!! It was so bad that we couldn't even eat it anymore. We asked to return the soup and they received the soup, so when we went to pay, but they added the price for the soup we returned, we returned the soup without even eating it all we literally sipped the soup like twice. I've been going to Old Village Korean restaurant since the late 1990's. When the current owner bought this place 4-5 years ago, he totally transformed the interior from an "old village" to a more modern contemporary bistro. Everything from the walls to the plates were changed, however the food is still just as good. The interior is clean, and modern. The servers are all dressed in black for the "bistro" look they are going for. This is a great restaurant to bring my non-Korean friends since due to the clean and appealing atmosphere. What differentiates this place from any Korean restaurant in Washington state is the charcoal grill tables they have. Apparently Washington state does not allow any new Korean restaurants to set up charcoal grills on the tables. Old Village was lucky enough to have these set up in their tables before this restriction occured. Hence all the other Korean restaurants in Seattle have gas grills or electric BBQ grills. Grilling meats on a charcoal grill gives the meat a nice crispy texture, and a slight smoky taste. Once you've eaten Korean BBQ cooked on a charcoal grill, grilling meats on a gas grill just doesn't compare. While the prices are a bit higher than other Korean restaurants, the quality and portions are well worth it. TIP: They have a BBQ happy hour between 11AM-5PM on Mondays through Friday. Select meats are priced at lower prices. For example, the Kalbi (Yang-Nyum Kalbi-Ssal) which is originally around $19.99 is $14.99 during happy hour. If this is the place that is right next door to a Filipino restaurant & across the street from Caspers, then this place is a must to check out! I've been to other Korean restaurants, so I can distinguish what's good and not so good Korean food. We came here for father's day. It was crazy busy, but the food was spectacular! This place is quite delightful. It looks like a sketchy place on the outside but it's quite nice inside. We gave it a try despite the warnings of it being too expensive. It is on the expensive side, but the food is very delicious! We had the chicken, BBQ pork, and beef brisket, 3 beers and the steamed dumplings. The total bill came out to $93 for 3 people which is kinda high. But still, the food is probably better than other Korean BBQ places I've been too recently. read more

Ok, the folks who are giving them horrible reviews must not be eating the real korean food there. They are hands down my favorite korean restaurant near where I (used) to live. I'm sad to have moved away. Service is typical Asian, hot and cold depending on how busy they are... but the food has been consistent the last two years. Oh my! I've eaten Korean BBQ many times in different places but this is the best I've had! Really, really delicious. I had Galbi with the side dishes. All were flavorful, some spicy hot and some cool and just the right amount of sweetness to soothe the palate. If I were living in the area I'd come back tomorrow and try the BBQ at the table. I only gave this place 2 Stars because the food was good/average, otherwise it would have received no stars. My family was there last night for my Bday dinner & I've eaten here before but not in a long time. I was more than disappointed with the service we received. It took our waitress about 10-15 min to take our order but we understood as she apologized for the wait. But after taking our order it all went downhill. We waited another 15 min or so to receive our rice, and appetizer. The banchan came when the meat finally appeared after a while. So we started cooking that, and eating rice with banchan but my sis had ordered 2 bibimbap bowls that had not appeared yet but they had received the rice for it. After about another 20 min she says they might as well cancel the order because we had been sitting there eating the rice & banchan for some time. When we finally located our waitress she asked if the bibimbap was coming--our waitress seemed to remember that we had ordered them--perhaps forgot to put order in? Sis tells her to go ahead & cancel the order if it wasn't already prepared (since it had been at least 30 min.) our waitress mumbled something & left & came back with one bowl. She said that there was one ready but that the other order was in but could cancel it. You think?? After more than 30 min of eating the rice for it & banchan? Anyway, order was cancelled, I finally got the soup I ordered & my son got his chap chae. We asked for more water & more banchan as we were a party of 6 but only received 8 sides--I've gotten more sides at other establishments with only 2 people! It took another 10-15 min to get our water & 2 extra banchan--which I've since learned from other reviews that we may have been charged for??!! Oh I forgot to mention that after our order was taken, our waitress lit the coals & while we sat for 15 plus minutes, the coals were sparking & spitting embers everywhere, I've never experienced that before so wonder if she turned the fan on above them? Anyway after almost 2 hrs of mostly waiting for our waitress and eating in between, we have to ask for a box & our check since no one came to check on us in 30+ min of sitting after eating--we flagged down another waiter to ask for our bill as I think our waitress went MIA, & after receiving our check had to wait for someone to flag down to actually take our payment. I told my sis that our waitress didn't deserve a tip but Lo & behold because our party was 6 people, there was an automatic 18% tip added, BUT our 6th person was my 3 yr old nephew who barely ate-AND we had NO service the entire time unless we managed to flag someone down! I think it is so wrong to impose an automatic tip IF the service you receive was NILL AND we had to cancel an order because our waitress seemed to forget to put the order in!! I have worked as a waitress, bus person, & hostess in the past so I will tip very well for good service & extra for excellent service but was very disappointed in the lack of service at this restaurant & the fact that we were insulted with a imposed mandatory tip! Our waitress never even came back to the table after the bibimbap debacle! Never checked on us & we had to flag others down for anything else. Worst service I've had at a restaurant in a long time! I never got to see the check since my sis & her husband picked up the tab but our bill had to be over $125 and to think that the waitress got an 18% tip just infuriates me. My sis did not want to make a scene but after working in the restaurant business & retail for over 15 yrs, I really hate bad customer service & to have to TIP for bad service was an insult.
