My husband and I are moving to the area in the next 6 months and are looking for "our" new coffee spot. I went on Saturday afternoon, wanting to love it. The atmosphere is just lovely. The outdoor patio is wonderful and inviting. The interior is equally inviting. I didn't immediately see a menu and then realized it was printed on a small card on the counter. The menu small, but I found something I thought would be good. Since it was late in the day, I thought I'd grab a baked good or something, but the only item was one cookie. Again, probably the lack of selection was due to the late time of day. Though my husband and I did come back Sunday morning and there still wasn't any selection. 1 muffin and 2 cookies. We went elsewhere. The problem I had was that the people working there just weren't friendly. I don't expect some exuberant welcome, but they didn't say "hi" or act moderately interested to take my order. I'm all about customer service, in my job, so it was offputting to me. When I went to pay with cash, they told me I needed to pay with a card for some unintelligible reason. I'm presuming Covid? The latte was a bit small for the price, and while it was ok, it didn't really have very distinct vanilla or lavender taste. I know my review is WAY below what others have written, so maybe my experience was just an off afternoon for both of us. read more

Such a "bespoke" type coffee venue. Come here for what the beans offer, as that is the specialty. Food is more of an afterthought if you are starving. Fresh take on espresso drinks, I had the maple sage latte and it was perfectly unique & delicious. Very chic atmosphere and the baristas were very hip without any rudeness (and even helpful as my friend had just torn her puffer coat & male barista had some sage advice-ha ha- for Rei tape to mend). Delicious coffee, the barista was super friendly and very patient with us since we didn't know what to order, everything looked amazing. The coffee was great. I came into the coffee shop with my registered service dog. The young woman behind the counter told me that, even though my dog was registered, she would not allow him in the coffee shop. This is a direct violation of Nevada law. She would not back down. read more

the barista who is also the cashier (only employee this morning) was extremely personable and nice! Despite being the only employee, drinks came out fast and are delicious. The horchata latte is one of the better ones I've ever had! The outdoor patio is also really cute and dog friendly! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town! read more

What an awesome place !! I was looking for a unique coffee experience after doing new job requirements at the hospital ... and looky what I found I love the location and it is super cool in design. Loads of indoor & outdoor seating with nice music not too loud. I did see a corn hole set on the patio;) I felt like I could stay and chat forever with Alexis the barista.. she rocks !!! They had nice pastries .. the coffee choices were exactly what I love ! Honey-based orange blossom latte with cinnamon & orange zest I'm in heaven !! My Friend and I were passing through Carson City for a morning cup. This place was everything we could of imagined. An amazing decor of a rustic outside setting with a modern twist inside. The barista was so awesome and walked us through the menu with popular and person recommendations. I decided to for the Mocha Drogata (Chocolate, Cinnamon, Allspice & Cayenne Peeper). If you love chocolate with a kick I highly recommend this for your taste buds. Sensational! My Friend went with the Mao Feng Green Tea and it was Superb! We were both pleased. Comfy place and if you prefer less bitter coffee this is great. It's a full service espresso bar. They make great pour overs and Mochas. The waffle is fantastic. It's the right size for a snack. It's like a muffin or sweet roll finger food. read more

Old World Coffee Lab is a great coffee place (both in Carson City and Reno). I enjoy their lattes and espresso drinks. They also sell gourmet chocolates and different types of coffee beans. The employees are mostly friendly and helpful. Great fire pit outside in Carson, and usually a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. read more

Okay first off, the woman working behind the counter is so adorable. She worked efficiently in the busy morning considering she was all by herself. I had drip coffee which was a great balance of bitterness and nutty. I believe it was the Guatemalan medium roast. My friend had the iced horchata latte which she raved about! And lastly, I left a bag there and she walked around with it until she saw us! I'm impressed that despite leaving hours after, she hoped to see us and give our stuff back. Thank you so much! Great vibe, nice hipster aesthetics, and yummy coffee. I enjoyed coming here to work out of their shop for a couple of hours and liked that there was seating facing the window so I could people watch as well. They didn't seem to have much of a baked goods selection and focused primarily on a small handful of select coffee drinks, but that was all I was looking for so it was perfect. read more

You won't find a better coffee shop in Northern Nevada! Locally roasted in Reno and now served Conveniently in Carson City! My wife and I traveled extensively for the last 3 1/2 years before moving to Carson. We've tried more coffee shops than we are willing to admit and Old World is solid! Chris, the owner, is a great guy that really knows his coffee. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is chill. Grab a mocha and study inside or have them pour you a nitro brew from the tap and sip it down outside by the fire pit. As an added bonus they are attached to the Union restaurant. Grab a bite then slide over and down a single origin pour over. Currently they are open seven days a week until 4 PM. My only request is that they extend their hours like their other location in Reno. I have no doubt that will happen as more people start frequenting this gem! read more

I respect all religions, but think a coffee shop is an inappropriate place to be sharing these views, especially knowing customers with different views are entering this establishment. Met an old friend here, and I was really excited to check this place out as a meet-up spot. I'd passed by on different occasions, and only recently had peered through to view their setup. Unfortunately, I embarrassingly ran late for our meeting on this particular date, so I fear my time spent was rather short. During this unfortunate CO-VID time, they had a sign posted that masks were required for entry. No problem, I had mine handy. I ordered the Vanilla Lavender Latte based off my friend's recommendation, and I was NOT disappointed! It was very unique, and lightest than I imagined, for whatever reason. We sat inside, which had a less-than-unique atmosphere when compared to their "outdoor" area (still enclosed, but complete with patio swings, just a more vibey look). It was WONDERFUL to catch up with my friend, though! The place was very quaint. I definitely would return, and perhaps try the other section, or forget it, just come by and scoop up that wonderful Lavender Latte! read more

I went here for the first time earlier today and the two baristas working barely acknowledged us when we walked in and we were the only people in there. They were just talking to each other and they were on their phones right in front of us. It took forever for them to take our order and charge us for our drinks. The outdoor seating is pretty and the drinks are nice, but the customer service definitely needs improvement. I was disappointed with the lack of friendliness because I am always treated well at the Old World in Reno. read more

My all time FAVORITE coffee ever. I love how strong but smooth the coffee is, I like seeing the familiar faces with the staff, it's a quiet and chill environment so it's perfect and spacious to hang out and have conversations with friends or get work done without distractions, indoor and outdoor seating is lovely, they just brought back my favorite which is the iced orange blossom latte but you can't go wrong with any drinks here. I do wish they have more small bites/quick food options not just pastries..... like hummus veggie boxes or paninis or grab and go snackies like cheese sticks etc. because often times this is a lunch run or a later afternoon meetup before dinner. read more

I am visiting from the east coast and was too lazy to walk the extra mile to Starbucks, so I came here. Glad I did. Their nitro brew is excellent and the bake fresh goods themselves. So my son got a warm coffee cake and he said it was amazing. I had to work really hard to avoid buying the fresh scones and croissants that I saw coming out of the oven! Great service too.
