I've been coming to Ole Mole for what seems like forever and really like it. The menu has a lot of options, but I seem to always gravitate towards the huevos and chorizo burrito. It is just great with savory chorizo and scrambled eggs plus meaty black beans. The best is the chipotle sauce that comes with it. Smoky and spicy it just makes the dish zing!

The tomato salsa was delicious, and the tacos were very fresh as well as the guacamole!! Very authentic tacos and the service was the highlight! The staff is extremely attentive; we got our tacos within 2 minutes of ordering and our guacamole in 30 seconds. The pricing was very good, and the place is very cute and comfortable, with parking on the sides and out front so it's very convenient. Highly recommend this place, it's a hidden gem and a great pit stop for a long trip!

Their Carne Asada (skirt steak) is just better!

Just as authentic only a lot cleaner than most other places. Totally family friendly... in fact I asked Laura the sweetheart owner who was there working to change the channel for my daughter and they happily did... then my daughter got mesmerized by it so as need as we are I asked them to change it again and they did without any attitude. That's rare these days. Too many servers out there begrudgingly work. Definitely coming back soon! Plus, let's be real. It's a really great thing when a company can last 5 years, but they've been going strong since 1994!!! Which is an incredible testament to their success and dedication.

We had a fantastic dinner at Ole Mole! If I lived in Stamford, I could totally see this being one of my go-to spots for Mexican. It's no-frills, good food, and pretty small inside. We went during peak dinner time on Thursday and were lucky we were able to snag a table! Everything was delicious! Some items that really stood out were the tostones and the mole sauce, which we figured would be amazing seeing that it's their namesake! Our food arrived very quickly, and our server was friendly and attentive.

Always excellent at Ole Mole! The burrito was huge and chock full of the best ingredients instead of 60% rice. The tostada had a crunchy base and was served with a great of amount of avocado. The service is always great. We've never wanted in but highly recommend for a quality delivered Mexican meal.

Still the best Mexican food in Fairfield County... small restaurant, the emphasis here is the food and it's also good for takeout.

Right off they gave us chips and salsa, which was great because we were starving. I ordered Chicken Tamales, which was fantastic. I generally don't find Chicken or no-meet Tamales (my favorite) in Mexican restaurants where I stay. So I was excited to find it here. The size of the Tamales is more like an appetizer rather than a full meal. I was fine with it as I was stealing fajitas from my wife's plate. Food was fantastic. Service is great. People are nice! 4 star only because there was a foul smell where we were initially seated (probably kitchen sink...no idea). We moved to the outdoor seating and that fixed the smell.

Great food in a relaxing environment. Their tostone appetizer is incredible.. Banting your own wine is a bonus.

Friendly service. Tacos were cooked and prepared just right. Cute place at the small bar or there are a handful of tables to choose.

Yummy authentic food but not very spicy. As of October 2018, they have no liquor license.

Great run of the mill Mexican food. The chips are fresh and good. I usually get a burrito or quesadilla.

Generously sized and well priced, good looking tacos. I enjoyed them with one exception. In NorCal, I am used to, crispy, browned carnitas. On the east coast, it's more like just "fatty mushy pork with occasional pieces of cartilage" :P I think this place is fine as long as you're not a carnitas snob like me. I'll probably come here again and just stick to carne asada y pollo.

Review for El Torito - Stamford, CT…read more So there I was on a blazing Monday afternoon, car in the shop, stomach growling like a telenovela villain--and El Torito just happened to be down the block, calling my name like a tortilla whisperer. From the outside, it's humble. Picnic tables chillin' under the trees like they're on siesta. Step inside, and it's got that cozy, no-frills, straight-up neighborhood vibe. A handful of tables, a big ol' fan, because air conditioning? Not today. And a TV on the wall pumping out reggaetón to keep things spicy. The place had a steady stream of locals rolling in for takeout, which is always a good sign in my book. The menu? A glorious cross-cultural Latin American mixtape. Mexican, Salvadoran, maybe even some Peruvian influence--it's like taking your taste buds on a backpacking trip without the altitude sickness. Bonus points for menu photos so you don't end up accidentally ordering goat brain stew (unless that's your thing). I ordered up the carne asada and a cold Coke, then sat back and let the meat magic happen. A few scrolls into my phone, my plate arrived - and Ay Güey, it was a vision. Grilled steak, marinated to perfection, lounging on a soft bed of Mexican rice, crowned with whole grilled green onions like a steak tiara. A side of creamy pinto beans, fresh tortillas, and two salsas: one a chunky pico de gallo(well, sort of), the other a smooth firewater(mild). And let me tell you - I devoured it. That carne asada didn't stand a chance. The meat was tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The rice was fluffy, the beans velvety, and everything was hot and fresh. No bite left behind. Paid at the counter with a smile on my face and carne-ful soul. El Torito isn't trying to impress you with bells and whistles--it's just bringing the heat with real-deal Latin American flavor, honest portions, and friendly vibes. Come hungry. Leave happy. Maybe a little sweaty.
