Hair in my food. Rude waitress. They have the refinery crowd so they don't need my money but still wanted to share.

You'd never think a mexican restaurant would do chicken fried steak this good but they do.

Fresh oysters on the half shell from nearby Copano Bay. Fresh seafood choices are quite nice. Decent bar with beers on tap. Reasonable prices.

The restaurant is located in a strange space right where Airline and Cimarron intersect; it's a bit hard to find. The inside is painted bright sea blue with nautical decorations with about 20 tables. The menu contains mostly seafood but some chicken and steak selections. We ordered fried grouper/shrimp platter with okra and cole slaw and grilled shrimp with rice pilaf and mixed vegetables. We were given a bowl of fresh potato chips, warm from the fryer - they're good, but I would suggest salt and seasonings, maybe even a sauce for dipping as they are bland. Bland seemed to be the cuisine of the day. Our fish and shrimp were not seasoned very well, and needed more salt/pepper just to be palatable. The tartar sauce is very tasteless as is the cole slaw made with mainly red cabbage. The okra was fine, the hushpuppies were forgettable and would benefit greatly from a little jalapeno, onion, corn or pepper. Grilled shrimp was good except for the seasoning and the pilaf was okay, but who raves about rice pilaf? Steamed veggies (yawn) were yucky. Even a cheese sauce or butter sauce would have improved the flavor. The portions of grouper on the fish/shrimp platter were tiny - about the size of a half dollar and there were only three of them. At the price you would expect a little more. The shrimp on that platter were large but overcooked. Everything tasted fresh - - no complaints there. The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean inside and has a full bar. Total for two platters, two teas was $46.88 without tip. With just a few tweaks this restaurant would be five stars.

The restaurant itself has a luxurious, warm, and welcoming atmosphere that almost seems to transport you out of Corpus. There are great views of the Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. We even saw some dolphins swim by! The food was fantastic. It was a cold day, so I ordered the shakshuka and my husband had the Turkish eggs and lamb sausage. The flavors were rich and bold. Both the house made foccacia and the baguette paired well with the tomato sauce. I was also a huge fan of the olive oil mixed with saba that came with the bread board. It gave the fruitiness of the oil a more complex sweetness. We finished off with the baklava which was also superb. Parking was ample and prices were very reasonable considering how much we ordered and the quality of food we got. Will be back to visit soon! This place was an absolute gem.

But the surprise that really made our visit special was the advice and interaction of the sommelier, Cisco! As a wine educator, I rarely encounter restaurant wine stewards who have extensive knowledge AND spend the time with the table to ensure the right pairings are chosen. Cisco nailed it! Finally, the service was perfect - our waitress was professional, very friendly and was always there when needed yet was never obtrusive. Fork & Vines is a real gem and we will be back every time we visit Corpus Christi.

We got the calamari and fried mozarella caprese from the happy hour menu. I didn't get to try the fried moz caprese, but the calamari was good. It was just slightly overcooked but otherwise had good flavor and the aioli was a good pairing. My fettuccine was a little bland but the shrimp was heavily seasoned and added to the dish. The short rib ravioli was tender and flavorful. Our server was knowledgable and helpful! He was super nice and provided great service.

The waitress arrived and took my order, their margaritas are large and strong. They give you complimentary chips and fish ceviche with salsas, which were excellent. The green salsa had quite a kick. We ate there, vs. to-go, they have a fairly large seating area. They also seemed like they are doing a lot of to-go orders. We were seated and they brought out ceviche and fried tortia chips and crackers. It was delicious and had a little spice with a really nice fresh taste. The two salsa's were also very good, one was on the milder side and one was hot. My wife had the Camarones Zarandeados (Grilled shrimp with home sauce). It comes with several shrimp and rice. It is marked mild, my wife thought it was a bit spicy but loved it and eat it all. I had the Huachinago Al Gusto (Red Snapper natural) with Diabla sauce. It comes with rice, a piece of bread and a salad. The picture shows it with fries but I didn't get any. I was okay with that as it was very filling and delicious! A musician came in and played some music on his guitar and sang, that added to the entire experience. If I lived here I'd be visiting here a lot.
