We like to find local establishments with notably great tasting, but unique food. We got the steak with onion rings, which was fabulous! Reminded me of home-style country fried steak with gravy. Finally tried this place cuz of all the hype. We walked in to a sit down lunch. Very Casual setting that appears to cater to the frequent locals. Got busy really quick at 12noon. I ordered chalupas, hubs had the Piccadillo plate. (Small serving for $10) Was just ok. Nothing spectacular nothing amazing, just ok. Hubs tortillas appeared home made. He said they were fine. My chalupas included meat (extra charge) just ok. I will breakdown chow on a well made chalupa, however, these were just ok. Beans were bland, no flavor. I masked them with plenty salt n pepper. I went this place many time, and they never messed up my order. I called in morning get a chorizo egg taco and harsh brown, I tell the girl that I want to my taco in a box instead of bag. Because sometimes there's food juice out when you eat your taco, and I don't want it get on my clothes. But when I got my order there's "no tortilla "in there, only chorizo and eggs. I love this place....small family ran....I think I was greeted and then guided by Julio (if that's the owners name) to have two tacos.....I was going to order three but he said that was to much.....He wanted me happy not over full...nice guy.....I had his house taco (which he made sure I ordered) which was fantastic....then I had the Steak taco....I was then instructed to use his house made hot sauce......You must by some of this to go...I did.... all and all.....amazing attention to detail here.....I will be back and will probably use Julio's for catering jobs.....great food .....great service.....great price.....
