While on the phone the office manager Carol began laughing at my disabled children being sick and barred us from the practice we've been going to for YEARS. This is in the midst of my daughter is having a dental emergency. Why were we barred? We were 15 minutes late due to our disbaled children having a virus, us visitng a Doctor first, and trying to reschedule to ensure the safety of everyone else. Carol's behavior on the phone was nothing short of disturbing and disgusting and I will be filing a complaint with multiple agencies as a result. Edited to add: Carol was laughing about this over the phone before attempting to tell us what she *believes* Dr. Sophie would say. And finally, the crown Dr. Sophie installed failed by cracking in half while my daughter ate a slim jim. This is the only cause of the dental emergency; failed dental work.

However, I needed some simple x-rays of my teeth and either the x-ray holder was TOO BIG for my mouth or the "hygenist?" was placing them incorrectly and they wouldn't go in. I said, OW. YOU'RE HURTING ME. So she shoved harder and started fussing like a 2 year old. I said, STOP. THEY DON'T FIT. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. She stamped her feet, fussed like a baby and said, so you are refusing the procedure? NO, i said. IT DOESN'T FIT. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. She called in another staff member to complain that i was Un-Cooperative or something. This staff member did NOTHING USEFUL. Didn't even speak to me at all. 1st woman- then braced herself like she was pushing a bolder up a mountain and began SHOVING the appliance back into my mouth. It still didn't fit. I was in so much PAIN that i nearly jumped out of the chair. Almost to tears, the 1st highly trained and skilled "hygenist" finally brought in Dr. Cheung. I told him the appliance didn't fit in my mouth. Please do something different. He immediately told them to do the xray a different way. No problems. It was done in a moment. Professional. I DON'T BELIEVE that the xray film would not fit in my mouth with the application of even the slightest professionalism or patience or that ANY of the fussing and violence to my mouth associated with getting the x-ray was even necessary. They provided a very detailed plan with really more information than I actually needed. Costs were clearly articulated, itemized and they were very flexible on payment plans and working with Insurance. I spoke with multiple co-workers with kids with braces and almost exactly the same price. Now, to be fair, her case is very basic, no extractions or palate expanders and such. I am giving 4 stars now. Will review when the treatment is complete. The staff is friendly and accommodating. And of course it is money making organization, would be naive to think otherwise.

So when I can to the appointment, the lady said okay, I understand we are doing a root canal, and clean the left side of your mouth. and was confused because I was there for something completely different, I think one of the things that should be done is have something written out which plan of action is being taken at each appointment, so their is no confusion, especially in cases when their is a lot of work to be done. They made it work with my insurance, that is the thing that I am most grateful about this place, Dr Papp is legendary, I have a maybe a handful of dentist in my life, and from my experience, he is truly, a cut above the rest. when I went to my 4th appointment, the root canal that final got done, was a supper-smooth process, he dialogs great with customers, and he is world class. If you get a choice I would go With "big papa!" That's what I call him in my head. This location doesn't discuss preventive care much with patients, so it is important to make sure you ask them, to keep the work they do intact.
