Update- No one ever contacted me about my poor service like they said they would. I came in again today and the same guy manager was working and it was chaos. There weren't even that many people in there. I waited for a curbside order for 10 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. I walked in and it was a mess. While standing there 4 groups of people left. Two tables of people came to ask how much longer for their food. No one could give them an answer so they also left. I've never seen such poor management, there were easily 15 tables empty and they were telling people it was a 20 minute wait. Another terrible experience! Came in for curbside- no one ever came out. I finally walked inside, there were maybe 4 tables of customers and the manager was running around acting like they were so swamped and just barking orders at people. I waited at the carry out for over 10 minutes until I was even acknowledged. Then waited 15 more minutes for anyone to do anything. They were not very busy at all. Unfortunately this location is always this way. They seem to have a lot of staff working but the customers just get ignored and they always act like they can't be inconvenienced to help you. The gentleman manger was just so rude. It's unfortunate cause I really do like Olga's but this location isn't worth your time. read more

Ordered a Carolina BBQ and basket of fries and did not check prices. I would have expected to pay around $6 ( paid $8 and some change)for a little bbq wrap ( which it was...pretty small). The fries were not even close to a basket for $5. I always take half home for another meal - not so here. Crazy high prices and the waitress was great except she starts sweeping up the floor under-empty tables by me and it's like "really". I mean who wants to have and look at that. Please tell workers to refrain from doing this. It's disgusting. There are so many better places to go. It's a shame because the food was really good as the service. read more

We have been regular visitors of Olgas, but this visit was the best in recent memory. Our server Becca was attentive, friendly, and extremely accommodating to our daughter. The food service was quick and the food was hot and delicious! The manager was engaging and friendly and we felt as if the staff valued our presence. We will absolutely be returning very soon, especially if the experience is anything like the one we just had. read more

I've never been a fan of Olga's... maybe it's a "I'm used to more for my money" thing, but there's nothing truly special about this place. For the chow: I really do not like the menu. Not worth the money. As of late, I found a semi-worthy deal: unlimited soup, salad and snackers for around $8 during dinnertime. Nothing like Olive Garden's version, but suitable. The portions are small, so I feel like a pig asking for two refills of everything (but I don't care because I want to at least feel like I had more to eat than an appetizer). For those who use it as a study/work area: Had a meeting after work at the restaurant (not my choice) and the wifi wasn't working, nor did it start working after I let the waitress know. The stars - one for the nice remodel and ok staff (the manager on duty was very attentive; the waitress, not so much) and one for the Orange Cream Cooler. Only reason why I spend around $20 a decade at this place - for the once every few years OCC. read more

I just finished my Olga's salad with salmon and I was very disappointed. My salad (the larger size) was a bowl of iceberg lettuce with - and I am not exaggerating even a little - one cherry tomato cut in half, two kalamata olives, four slivers of red onion, and roughly 1T of feta. This is an $8 salad! I added the salmon and for $3 it was a decent portion. That was the only saving grace. Definitely not worth it for $11 for the whole thing, though. read more

Multiple times I've pre-ordered food for a specific time (allowed on website) only to wait in the designated parking space for 10+ mins and it still hasn't come out. In the 36 years I've lived in Metro Detroit, I've never set foot inside an Olga's... until today. I decided to get an Original, and double-combo it to try both soups. When I checked in on Yelp, I was offered a free dessert, so lunch wound up being this crazy feast for like, ten bucks. Yes, it's maybe a little expensive if you want just a wrap, but if you add on from there, it's actually not expensive at all. The broccoli soup was pretty great. It didn't have quite a pre-made taste or consistency, which impressed me. The peasant soup, on the other hand, was reminiscent of a microwaved can of Chunky vegetable beef soup. Though it alleges to have lamb, it was what I can only describe as "brown and otherwise nondescript". The Original Olga is hard to nail down. The lamb was almost rubbery with mild seasoning. The Olga Sauce is apparently just plain yogurt, and the bread had an almost unsettling sweetness to it. I could be biased though, as it was nothing remotely resembling the grandeur of a gyro from Graceland Party Shoppe in White Lake. (Seriously, if you ever find yourself near White Lake and even kind of like gyros, you've gotta stop in.) I opted for the brownie on the free dessert, and have five plastic containers before me. One with a brownie, one with a slab of ice cream that -- disturbingly -- hasn't melted in the 45 minutes it's been on my desk, and three smaller containers with caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, and crushed peanuts. The brownie tasted like it came from a vending machine, and was put in the microwave for a few seconds. I don't hate vending machine brownies, but I'd pass on the brownie in the future. I'd go back for that soup, though. read more

BEWARE ONLINE ORDERING. Many of the negative reviews talk about wait times/service, so I placed an online order two hours before the pickup time. I arrived five minutes early, and they had not even started the order. Several people with later pickup times received their food while I waited. While waiting, I paid for the food and included a tip (these are rough times, and I do not expect perfection). I left a half an hour after my pickup time without my order, and a partial refund. The manager claimed they did not get the order until right before I arrived. He must not have been aware I received an email confirmation saying the order was with them for an hour before I arrived. I placed another online order with the Olga's on Big Beaver in Troy. They had everything ready for pickup within fifteen minutes. They are only five miles apart, so do yourself a favor and go there. read more

After a bad experience last time, I decided to give Olgas a second try, I called for a carryout. My old Olgas in Southfield was so good. But this Auburn Hills one is horrible. The person on the phone had no clue about the menu items. After a couple minutes, she admitted that she was new and could get someone else on the phone. Great idea. The person who came to the phone after 5 more minutes said "what is it that you need." Very rude and immature. Just like last time when I went in to order a carryout, place was dead, but yet no one wanted to take my order. I have no clue how this place survives in an area filled with restaurants. I will not make the same mistake a third time. Please Olgas get some people in here that actually want to work. With OU across the street, I'm sure you can find some nicer people. read more

Unlike the experiences some of the other yelpers seem to have, my first visit to Olga's Kitchen was met with excellent service. I entered the restaurant expecting a counter-served place, only to realize that the place is for casual dining. After being promptly seated and handed the menu, I tried my luck with the original (large) Olga and classic Olga snackers basket. The Olga sandwich was fresh and tasted fine with good amount of meat, but wasnt quite exceptional(it would probably be unfair to expect one from a chain restaurant too). I found their classic toasted pita a.k.a snackers to be a little too much on the sweeter side. Makes me wonder, are all the other snackers made from the same, sweet dough? It would be shame if that is the case, because that is simply not of my type. I might be back if I crave for a gyro sandwich when I visit the area or want to have a casual lunch with my colleagues. But mostly i will keep checking those small, smokey middle-eastern places for the perfect, greasy guilty-pleasure gyros. P.S: the dining area is quite big with plenty of comfy booths. Terrible, disgusting visit to the Olga's on Square Lake and University, Auburn Hills! Very disappointing as on previous visits we have always got seated, waited on promptly and enjoyed delicious food! Went here today for lunch. Got great customer service from our server. I ordered the unlimited soup and salad and snackers. The first round was good, however the second round of my broccoli cheddar soup contained a mushy meat looking ball of god knows what. When I told the server about it he was apologetic but told me it was just the burnt soup and that its beef and chicken based soup so that's what happens. Then the manager Shannon came over and tried explaining the same story but nothing was done about the situation. More soup was offered but why would I want to eat broccoli cheddar soup with mushy disgusting chucks in it? Staff was apologetic but did nothing in order to make me want to come back let alone eat their "microwaved" food as the manager stated. read more

If you're a visitor to Michigan or the Detroit area, Olga's should definitely be on your "must eat" list! I was so excited when they decided to put a location in this corner strip mall near Oakland University! The Olga bread that all of the sandwiches are prepared on is like crack- a few bites and you'll be addicted (a sweet flatbread like no other). For a truly indulgent snack, try the snackers and cheese with an orange cooler. If you want something Greek, go for the Olga salad (w/ feta & olives) and original Olga (gyro). Definitely choose the curly fries over the regular fries. For young kids, ask for a PB&J Olga. The open face Terijaki, Fajita, or Burger Olga's are generally too big for me to finish in one sitting and a little bit messy to share, but they are oh so tasty. My mom loves the Spinach Pie more than anything. I've never had a bad meal at Olga's, and every time I come home I have to get my fix. One small note for newbies: even though you may sit down and have a server at a table, you generally have to take your check up to a cashier to pay for your meal. read more

Clean place, great service and attentive waitress. Food came out quick. I just wish the fries where more fresh they were pretty dry but we kind of came in 1hr until closing time, but with the reputation of Olga's you just expect fresh food always. Wish I could give zero stars for how extremely rude the wait staff was with me today. I had to wait at the stand for over 10 minutes as no one even came up to address me. I saw in the window where the cooks were working and waved my hands to get someone's attention. Finally, 5 minutes later a waitress walked out, rolled her eyes and goes "yeah? can i help you?" and I explained that I was tight on time but hoping to get a table. She then says "yeah well you can wait at the stand for someone then". I explained to her I had been waiting there for 10 minutes so she hastily walks out, grabs two menus, and starts walking without letting me know whether or not I could follow her to a table. I again asked if they could accommodate me as I was on a time crunch and she goes "like I said before, I don't know I just got here" and I finally said "I don't need to handle your attitude" and she goes "neither do I". At that point I turned around and walked out - will never be coming to olga's again unfortunately, and by the look of other reviews - you've been warned! read more

My daughter and I are frequent visitors to this location. Most of our experiences have been good, however, the last couple visits were not and after this evening, we will not dine there again. First, there was a large hair in my daughters salad and then, even worse than hair in the food, an employee came out of the kitchen and belched in the dining area in the ear of another employee. This was absolutely inappropriate and it was the second time this happened while we were in this restaurant. We also had this experience a few weeks ago and I complained to our waitress at that time. Tonight, I asked for a manager and while he apologized, we were still handed a bill for our entire meal and he just didn't seem overly concerned about our issues. Disappointed because the food here is usually very good but I can't get past the obvious other issues at this location. read more

Oh my lord those fries were seasoned to perfection! The flavors of the three cheese wrap danced across my tastebuds in a tingling and orderly fashion! The lemonade was exquisite, and it's sour taste had my lips puckering all night long. My mother ordered the infamous tea drink, and exclaimed excitedly that it tasted just like the tea she had yesterday at chili's... just a coincidence, or is the manager pulling a fast one? I love Olga's but was disappointed with how dirty the restaurant was. The table we were sitting at was not clean and several tables around hadn't been bussed. When one table was bussed, food was brushed on the floor. When we received our silverware, it was dirty. I had the original olga which was good, but the small olga salad I had ordered was mushy with too much dressing and no greens, all white iceberg lettuce. Service was so-so. Just not a pleasant experience. Won't return. To top it off, received my receipt with a link for feedback and a feedback code and the link is no longer available. First time eating there. I ordered a bowl of their red pepper and tomato soup. It was delicious. I also ordered the item of the month, smoked brisket platter. The brisket sandwich was full of fat meat. So it was not that appetizing. The pesto rice was ok and the grilled veggies were on the oily side. Not sure if I will return.
