Stopped in for dinner after passing by for years. We were only ones in there around 7 on Friday, which was nice. One server for table and bar area. The place started filling up while we were eating so we were just early! Some outdoor seating too. The meal was perfection. The kabobs were so flavorful, good sized portions and because it was our first time in we received complimentary baklava at the end of the meal, which was flaky, sweet and everything it should be. I have stopped by and picked up the Greek chicken salad a few times since. I love it that much! I ate there on Monday night and it was so good that I went back with a colleague on Tuesday for lunch. Then, on Wednesday night, I went for a third time. Each meal the food was extremely fresh and outstanding. I had the Eggplant Stack at each visit, but tried a different other dish each visit. First I had the Greek Salad with Gyro meat, then the Caesar Salad with Rosemary Chicken and last night was Lamb Kebabs. Great staff! read more

Solid three stars. We dropped in late on a Friday afternoon, 2ish. One of my besties and I were headed to work and needed to grab a quick bite. The place was empty when we walked in. We asked if we could get our food ASAP and the man who I assumed was the owner said "no problem." We ordered quickly and were brought our beverages right away. Food came out not long afterwards. It was hot and tasty, though hardly spectacular. The service was prompt and professional, though nothing memorable. It was just fine for what we needed-- a full belly, quickly. We were a bit put off when the server brought the check and informed us that the credit card machine was broken, that we'd need to pay in cash. Thankfully we scraped together enough (every dollar out of both our wallets, btw!) to pay and leave an appropriate tip. It would have been nice to know that information BEFORE we then so we could order appropriately. Just sayin', folks. read more

The restaurant is dark, small and gets packed really quickly. It probably has enough room for 40 to 50 people at most and a small bar with about seven stools. The customer service is good but when they have live music you have to shout to hear the person in front of you because the acoustics are awful. I ordered a Greek salad and lasagna. The salad was okay but the lasagna was salty and primarily cheese and meat sauce. There was very little pasta in that dish. By the time the night was over I blew $80 in that restaurant. The server, who seemed like the owner, was more interested on being on his phone than dealing with my needs, which was strange being that I was their only customer. I stopped in 4 lunch on a Saturday. I was the 1st customer & this was my 1st visit. The guy waiting on me was a little unfriendly & lacked personality. He was also unable 2 make a recommendation from the menu. I ordered a Greek salad 2 start & it was honestly 1 of the best salads I've ever had. BEWARE OVER PRICED SMALL PORTIONS! Now I'm a die hard fan when it comes to GREEK salad with chicken kabobs! Now my first experience with this restaurant was a last resort new to the area craving and needed a really good GREEK salad. I called in and placed my order for a GREEK salad with a chicken kabob and lamb kabob. My order came up to a whopping 27 dollars which is a tad bit high for a darn salad but once I'm fixed on something theirs no turning back. Now Id assume the portions would be quite big considering the price but I was left with 4 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of lamb! I was shocked. Too late to turn around, too hungry to complain. My 2nd experience was right after I left the gym and I was having one of my episodes again and called for take out. The guy didn't really take time to listen to my order and rushed me off the phone! This time I ordered just the chicken kabob Greek salad. On arrival it was sitting in front of the cashier waiting for me I paid 17 bucks this time. To my surprise I find 3 small pieces of chicken with the salad. It's ok but not worth the price at all. Portions are too small and overlooked. I wouldn't come here again. I've been craving Meditarranean food, particularly falafel. I didn't realize there was a Greek restaurant near Thai DIner where I frequently eat at. I decided to call in the order then pick it up. I mean, it is busy season at work (I work in a CPA firm). Olive Bistro is located on the farthest right part of the strip in the Krogers shopping center off Cobb Parkway. It's really cute and cozy looking. The lady gave my order and I took it back to work to chow down it. At my desk, I couldn't wait to eat the falafel. It's sooo yummy. That's it, I'm going to learn how to make it! Halfway with the salad, I found a piece of hair :( I knew it wasn't mine since my hair is black, not brown. The Gyro meat was dry and overlooked, as if it had been pre-sliced earlier in the day and heated in the microwave. Honestly. I wasn't too impressed. I always judge a Greek restaurant by their gyro, and this was not a good result. I will, however, RAVE about their hummus dip and pita. The pita is soft and coated with olive oil and parm. The hummus is rich and smooth with a little olive oil and an olive garnish. I will go back for the hummus to snack on, but not for an entree. read more

Terrible experience tonight, which is sad because the food was good but the management conduct shady practices here. We were a party of 8 - the menu clearly states that 20% gratuity will be added to parties of 6 of more which is not a problem, I tip 20% anyway when the service is good. However, when I handed over my credit card to pay the check, they did not show me the total amount to confirm, and just handed me a receipt - they had added 30% tip!!!! When I challenged the manager he told me this was standard practice for parties of 8, even though their menu says 20%. He even tried to say that 20% is only for less than 6. Not once did they inform us of this before we sat down for the meal or when we ordered. The manager gave me some BS story about customers not leaving enough tip and also that the restaurant wasn't busy - so I have to pay extra to cover other customers!! We were literally the only customers in the place, not a surprise if this is how they behave, and the manager thought he could make up for a slow night by stealing from me. I argued but he didn't pay me back the extra 10% and I wasn't gonna waste my time or the police for $26. Disgusting behavior from this restaurant, this is literally theft. read more

I think it's the best Greek restaurant in Atlanta. Service is amazing. It's a good international experience too since there are two guys who work there from Morocco and Moldova and they are always so friendly and nice. Olive Bistro's Greek salad is phenomenal! Wow. My wife and I have been looking for a good Mediterranean restaurant after moving from Los Angeles, and we are so happy that we have found one. This was literally one of the best meals I have had in a while (and we eat at the best restaurants in the city). The owner greeted me on a Monday evening for my take out order and had it ready within ten minutes. The restaurant was very lovely, which makes me want to come back and eat inside next time. The Chicken Kabob was insanely good. As a cook myself, I know how hard it is to get chicken to have that many layers of working flavors while also retaining the juiciness/tenderness. The tapenade was oily and boring. The pita bread was good. The Lamb Kababs: a bed of way too much dry and cool rice, and two skewers of dry and tough lamb cubes. Many different combos and platters which is what I love to order because I love to taste a little bit of everything! Only thing I wasn't a fan of were the dolmas - they had a sweet taste to them (clove/cinnamon flavor).
