My standard order is shrimp scampi substitute Alfredo sauce and extra veggies, it's always yummy. My mother got fried ravioli and it was pretty tasty. I tried their new toasted coconut margarita and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their chocolate lasagna made a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. 5 star meals don't always have to be fancy! read more

It has been years since I've had Olive Garden. Not sure why and this time wasn't my idea but my mom suggested it for dinner. I placed an online order for fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and lasagna both with salads and breadsticks. Also, a kids meal with chicken fingers and fries that includes spaghetti and a beverage. We were given a time for pick-up and instructions for when we arrived. A young lady met us at our designated spot after we sent the number via text. We checked our food before leaving and everything was accounted for. Our food was plentiful and enjoyable even the next day. There were no complaints. I haven't been to an Olive Garden in years. we took a chance and so glad we did! I got the peach-raspberry Bellini tea and it was fabulous and free refills!! We got the Alfredo bread dip as an app and it was so flavorful and it was bottomless refills! I ordered the Tour of Italy. It was a good combo of all the best: lasagna, Alfredo, and Chicken Parmigiana. My husband got the Grilled Chicken Tortellini and it was so yummy!! Unfortunately, the service was not good. Um... Olive Garden is just what it is. It's like a roulette wheel you never know what you're going to get. I mean my experience has been good just inconsistent as far as service and quality of the dishes prepared. Sometimes the food is ice cold or something is off with the meal. The salad however is always on point! I usually would get the salmon over noodles and that is delicious so it's not a huge deal but I have walked out a few times before. I visited this location during the coronavirus pandemic. There were good procedures in place, including the servers wearing masks and spacing the diners out. They also had disposable paper menus. During my visit, the menu was limited. I ordered the classic Chicken Alfredo with soup. The server was friendly and efficient. She brought the food out in a timely manner and it was hot. I've always loved Olive Garden salads. I could eat like 4 bowls worth by myself. But I rarely go there because my friends always want something different. Then they came out with endless pasta and we have been several times. So good. We all eat so much! They have it where you can choose your type of pasta, then your sauce, then if you want to add meat. My favorite is the stuffed ziti fritta sigh Alfredo sauce and I add shrimp and scallops. This location always has great staff and we are seated quickly. They have delicious flavored iced teas. They also have a wonderful ambiance in the restaurant. It doesn't feel rushed. It feels like you can sit and enjoy and eat. So we do and we always leave happy. read more

We eat often at Olive Garden - it offers a gluten free menu, and I feel safe eating here as long as I stay away from anything questionable. My husband and I came in tonight for a late dinner. We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday night. We were surprised when we were promptly greeted and seated. We had expected a long wait on Friday night. As always we were pleased with our meal. We were served a large salad bowl and I requested Sautéed Shrimp, as a side. Although small, the shrimp were fresh and full of flavor. My husband got multiple bowls of his favorite, the Pasta E Fagioli. He also had his other favorite, Spaghetti, Sausage and Meatball. For dessert we ordered Cafe Mocha for me and a Cannoli Trio for my hus- both were an enjoyable end to our meal. With dessert, the ticket for tonight was $35.13 before tax or tip - and as always, we left a generous tip for our server. The server did a great job checking on us and taking care of our needs. This is future me, why don't i listen to myself. This is still the best Olive Garden around if you ask me, but tonight that really wasn't saying much. The salad was warm, why? I have no idea but ok. I got the tour of Italy. A favorite of mine. The chicken parm wasn't about to be cut with the butter knife and fork, waiter got me another same issue. So i look over at my friends plate and notice her chicken is just as dry and thin. The pasta sauce tasted like mostly milk on the fettuccine Alfredo. The lasanga was all i ate. It was ok, nothing to write home about but this is Olive Garden. The manager took the chicken back and he discounted the appetizer (we didn't ask he just did it) which is great, except i didn't get or eat an appetizer. So i paid $25 after tip for a water and piece of lasagna. Maybe it's a bad night. read more

As far as Olive Garden locations go, this is a pretty good one. First and foremost, I'm really not the biggest fan of going out for Italian, specifically pasta. I, for the most part, feel like that is something that can be prepared at home for a fraction of the cost. Now that I have that rant out of the way..... the review continues. Inside/outside appearance is just like what you would expect of an Olive Garden location. If you watch tv you'll have a good idea when they are running the never ending pasta bowl specials and/or the buy one for now - get one for later for free. I'm not the biggest fan of pasta dishes, there are a few I really like - just more of a Mediterranean style dish. Usually when I come here I'm either going for the kabob plates - always really good, a little on the pricey side, but really good. Or, if it's at lunch, the bottomless soup and salad with the Zuppa Toscana - Spicy Italian sausage, fresh kale and russet potatoes in a creamy broth. If you like the franchise, then this would be a good location to try out. Recommended! read more

One of our many trips here. Great food for Olive Garden as usual. Don't get to come often during lunch hours. Loved the offerings on the lunch menu. I had my soup and salad bcus I wasn't as hungry. Zuppe Toscana is the only soup I eat from here and the salad is the salad. Lol. Kese tried the meatball pizza bowl and thought it was pretty good. Jacob was working the bar and the cafe area. And he was doing the best that he could but he was either over sat or still new. Service was extremely slow this visit. read more

I've been to this location a ton of times before, but this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. Right off the bat, I show up with my 4 year old at 8pm on Mother's Day, so I'm not expecting much. I totally understand that it's one of the busiest days of the year, and by the time I got there the staff was going to be exhausted and the kitchen was backed up. This was NOT THE CASE! Every member of the staff we came into contact was more than polite, they were really friendly! Our server was Alex, I think, and even though he was managing a HUGE party next to us, he was 100% courteous, professional, friendly, and funny. He cracked jokes with my daughter and really made us feel at home. He let me know right away that the kitchen was out of asparagus (no biggie, again this was the end of the busiest day of the year.) Our order was delivered quickly and was hot and fresh. I had the Salmon Piccata and it was delicious! Perfectly cooked with a delicious lemon sauce and had Parmesan zucchini on the side. My daughter enjoyed her pizza, which had a ton of cheese on it. All in all, this was an amazing experience, made all the more impressive by the crazy night they were having! read more

My brother and I chose to have Olive Garden for dinner tonight and it was absolutely amazing as usual. I got a coke, salad, breadsticks, and the Chicken Alfredo. The food came out in a timely manner and was fresh as always. Our waiter was kind, welcoming, and accommodating to our needs. The environment was warm and welcoming. There were nice Italian themed decorations around the restaurant with pleasant Italian music playing. I did not see any covid precautions in place, as most restrictions have now been lifted. Cheese stuffed gnocchi, with Alfredo and grilled chicken- was really really good and cheesy! Comfort food all the way- very rich tho. Also we got Steak Gorgonzola served with fettuccini. We parked at the pick up spot on time but it was taking so long for someone to bring out our order that my husband just went in to get it. We'd gotten home before realizing that our breadsticks weren't in the bag. Our kids were so disappointed because they love all things bread. We usually check before driving off but not this time. I got fired from this restaurant because I prayed with someone who wanted to get pregnant but they could not...the transgender in the kitchen hated me just because he heard I was christian I don't care if you wear a bra outside your shirt and color your fingernails yellow and red I am not going to gather around you a man dressing like a woman and tell you I like your bra on the outside of your shirt....I never once did anything to offend this person. .and the trainer must not have like an older person coming on to the wait staff. I was belittled in training for questions and made to feel bad. Waited a bit longer in ther beginning than I expected but they were pretty busy. Anna is great! We had her previously and she remembered! She was very responsive and knowledgeable of the menu. Very cordial. Overall great hospitality! Honey had salad and We went for appetizers and drinks as our daughter was on a date close by. (snooping, but not lol!) We had the trio appetizers with double calamari and mozzarella cheese. The calamari a bit chewy. When you have authentic from elsewhere.. it's hard to go back to frozen or boxed. Not a fan. I give it 2 stars because our server was very friendly and attentive, but that's the only positive. I started with the chicken and gnocchi soup. The chicken they use isn't fresh chicken. It's the same kind of chicken in Campbell's chicken noodle, that cheap, pink, processed garbage. I picked it out which pretty much left me with celery, carrots and cream base. There were only 2 gnocchi dumplings in the whole bowl. For my entree, I had the chicken abruzzi. The chicken in this dish was good quality grilled chicken, but the broth that the beans and veggies were in just tasted really strange... And it was super salty. For dessert, I had the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. It wasn't horrible, but it tasted cheap and frozen. The bathrooms, oh boy.... The first stall was full of all sorts of surprises, and it was overflowing into the floor. The second stall wouldn't lock, and the handicap stall had no toilet paper so I ended up in the second stall, holding the door closed with my hand. I really want to like Olive Garden, in general. I get a different dish every time I go to find that special one, but nothing has ever impressed me. I think I'm finally throwing in the towel after this experience and reserving my Italian meals for other restaurants that I'm already in love with. I highly recommend Joe's Italian in Alabaster.
