Red Lobster has consistent comfort food at all locations. Don got the two shrimp plate with the dragon shrimp and Walt's favorite shrimp. Don didn't love Walt's shrimp so he gave it to me. I liked it but think I typically like the regular fried shrimp better. The broccoli was perfectly cooked. I got the bacon wrapped scallops and a baked potato and both were good. The meal was a 3.5, but our server, Caddy, elevated it to 4.0. She was so friendly and helpful with info about the area as she learned we were from out of town. Our server was friendly, but *very* forgetful. She told us the biscuits were in the oven and it would be a few minutes. About 15 minutes later we noticed new tables getting biscuits and our server was nowhere to be seen. When we flagged her down for a basket, we waited another 5 minutes and got it. We also asked for a water that we didn't get the first time we asked, and never got the second basket we asked for. Had to as for napkins and plates for the seafood boil we ordered. Additionally, the entire time we were there we were literally surrounded by 6 dirty tables. As a former server, I know it's important to bring plates back to the kitchen, and not one server-manager included, took anything back. i ordered food to go and when i got there the food was ready and handed to me but unfortunately the rice for the salmon bowl was missing and i had to wait 15 mins to pay for the food. I was given attitude by the bartender working when asking if i could pay and she told me she was busy. i had to get a greeter to get the manager for me and he was no help either and just stared at me with a blank face when i told him i had been waiting to pay for 15 mins. horrible disappointed and will not be returning. read more

I ordered the mariners boil. And it was missing the lobster tail and the shrimp. But no harm no foul. Jake our server and sabrina! Were so so lovely and welcoming. I felt bad for being a bother but when you pay $50 for a meal i expect everything. When i told them it was missing those two ingredients they immediately went back to the kitchen and had both out to the table in less than 3 minutes for each item! They were both lovely people! Nice location downtown Duluth near the William Irvin ship.An old Iron Ore ship that served the Duluth harbor and is now a museum.After our tour, we were all hungry and being close to the water made us more hungry for fish. This Red Lobster is decorated nicely.The dining area is spacious and clean.Our waitress Tammy was helpful in updating us on specials.We ordered two fish and chips and an ultimate feast.The fish was very well done.The fries were tasty and everything was fresh. I dig me some Red Lobster (my favorite chain) and this location did not disappoint. With COVID, they handled my reservation extremely well and we were promptly seated at a very clean table. This was followed by a friendly, courteous and prompt member of the wait team who certainly seemed to be going the extra mile to ensure we had no issues. Food was quick enough, fresh and portions were as expected. Red Lobster on Canal Park handled a large party for us on 9/26/24. They prepared special menus for us and set up a separate area for us. The food was excellent, with many comments given by the guests. The waitress and waiters were all excellent and on top of all our needs. What really stood out was the service. We entered on a Saturday evening with no reservations as a party of 8. We knew we'd have to wait. The host told us it would be a long wait, and I told him we could be treated as 2 parties of 4 if that made shorter wait times - no waiting for 2 adjacent tables that could be pushed together. He disappeared for a minute or so, and he must have worked some magic because he returned and seated us right away at a table large enough for our whole group! Our server was both professional and friendly, and very attentive even though I think his other tables were on the opposite side of the restaurant. My family -- ages 8 to 86 enjoyed the food, especially the biscuits, and it was all as you'd expect from a Red Lobster. The old warehouse building and the view of the lake were created a nicer atmosphere than a typical Red Lobster, but the friendly service really made it a great place for dinner. read more

I love a good red lobster but this is not the one to go to. From the time I walked in we were "greeted" by staff that didn't seem happy to be there. We were told we would have over a 30 minute wait even though we put our name in early on OpenTable. I understand everywhere is short on staffing. I watched as an old couple in their 80's wanted their parking validated and when they asked for help, the staff just stood there and didn't offer any help. When we sat down the waitress brought us biscuits but never asked if we wanted a refill, didn't ask if we wanted refills on drinks either at any point. The food took forever due to a large party coming in at the same time and the food was not prepared the same way I have had at other red lobsters. We had dinner here while in town tonight and were very disappointed in the seafood. My Husband ordered the Admiral's Feast and the only thing cooked properly was the flounder, most of the seafood we ordered was over battered and undercooked. I ordered the Cajun chicken linguini alfredo and it was very good. We ordered the Hand-Breaded Calamari and it was horrible it was very greasy and definitely needed cooked longer. The one bright spot in our visit was our waitress Arrah B, she was a true delight. She was very attentive and suggested places for us to check out in the area. Red Lobster is understandably a chain place and I get that. Sure, they have their Cheddar Bay Biscuits and there iconic lobster tank, but when it comes to originality there isn't too much going on. But a few things though that I will highlight: they probably have the best Caesar salad I have had anywhere else. There is just something about that dressing with fresh cracked pepper that puts it over the top. There is a slight tang that makes it the best creamy caesar dressing. What I love most about the Duluth location for Red Lobster is the building that it is located in. Found in one of the old brick warehouses in the canal district, it is arguably one of the prettiest Red Lobsters out there. So if you like the food, I won't judge. Every now and then I crave a biscuit and some AYCE shrimp too. read more

My salmon and loaded baked potato were incredible. However, it took an hour to get our food. I don't know if that's a fluke or no. My husband had endless shrimp but they never came back with the endless part. Also, it is so hard to navigate the allergen menu. It would be nice if they could label on menu. read more

You can see from our receipt that we ordered quite a bit of food. The portions (from a year ago same time) were far smaller. For example, the baked potato was the size of two very small red potatoes. It came out last. Fish came out first. Tilapia was decent size but that's the only portion that was normal sized. The fish and chips only had one piece of fish. Other area restaurants are two. Our reservation was at 6:15pm. We left there at 8:30. Very long wait for food. The calamari used to be my favorite app. It used to be deep fried with broccoli pieces as well. It came out as just calamari rings without any broccoli pieces. Not worth $12. We waited for almost two hours for our food to come out. The lobster roll is not like the hoagie roll it appears to be in the picture or like any lobster roll on the east coast. This was $10 and laughable as it was a petite roll that came out in a small oval bowl. Our waiter was super nice and friendly. Knew we waited so gave us 2 desserts to go. I think he may have had too many tables because he would disappear for quite awhile and I would not see him (and we sat outside of the door that goes to the kitchen). Maybe he had tables on the other side who knows. The calamari was getting cold and I was hoping to flag him down for cocktail sauce but had to ask a manager walking around. I don't fault him at all. I think he did the best he could. I think the kitchen was stacked but if it was backed up, we should have been told. Basically, there are far less commercialized restaurants in the area where you can have a far better, fresher meal that is of normal proportions. Take a ride over to Eddies in Superior WI. Never, ever had a bad meal there and it would have been a 1/3 of the price. :) I won't be back to red lobster. Staple in Duluth but I am over it read more

Review for today, bad food and service 6/05/2019 Stopped in while vacationing with my daughter in two harbors, we have come to this red lobster in the past and had very good service and food........ today we were wanting really badly to have the soup and salad. We always enjoy olive gardens endless soup and salad, so we're excited to hear red lobster was offering it as well.. We got the most wonderful biscuits as always, then came the service she came to the table and handed us everything first off, so we had to pass down as it came and we were on a regular table, she even held our glasses of tea in front of us till we took them to pass, sad, never quite had a server do this with everything. Then first was lobster bisque, I did not like it, not only was it cool, it tasted like it was made from that nacho cheese in a can, so I set it aside. Then she brought out another bowl, hoping it was hotter than the first saying bowls were cold, which was also cool, then I gave that one to my hubby, next time I saw her I asked her if we could mix it so I ordered clam chowder, it also came out slightly warm but was still the best clam chowder I have had in awhile, lots of clams in it.. would have really been good hot, hubby then got a warm flavorful bacon potato soup he liked as well, just wish soups were heated up more.. then came service we think she literally took breaks in between the soups as long as it took, we had to ask for water refills and never got tea refilled so we got three half cup bowls of warm soup, salad, biscuits, one glass of tea for $16..... sooooo terribly disappointed, would really like our money back and start all over. I've been here a couple times, and comparing it to the one in Bloomington Minnesota, this location is the best! Even though their food is not fresh and farm raised, it still tastes pretty decent. Not too fishy! I love crab and lobster, but sometimes it just is wrong to eat when it is farm raised and tastes like you are licking an aquarium. The service here has always been decent too. Met mom for lunch Friday while we were in town for the dog shows. She was already seated. It took Caitlin(?) several minutes to take my drink order and drop off a menu after I had looked at mom's menu. Mom had not yet ordered lunch, just special biscuits without cheese due to allergies. We ordered a coconut shrimp appitizer to share and salads that were dropped off immeadiatley after the app. and the waitress had not yet brought me a roll of silverware. We both got the salad with dried cranberries, blueberries, candied nuts (I added the blue cheese) with a blueberry vinegrette. I found the dressing way too acidic with the dried fruit and was glad I only put it on half of my salad. It took the waitress a long time to return and by the time she did I just wanted a to-go container with french and blue cheese dressing for the remainder of the salad. Mom's allergies were accomodated and they made her biscuits without cheese before I arrived. I was never brought any regular biscuits and was disappointed. It appeared there were plenty of staff yet service was very slow and not friendly. I saw a gentleman nearly trip over a hokey that was leaning out of a dark corner. No wi-fi even tho Red Lobster was listed in my secured connections. The waitress told me that was probably the hotel...no, it says red lobster. 1st time coming to a red lobster and i understand coronavirus and i work in retail. called ahead and was pit on the waitlist. got to the restaurant and the 2 ladies at the hostess stand just looked at eachother and said oooh you have quite a ways to go. they said you should probably try someplace else. losing 1 customer isnt a problem but you respond to customers in the long run and you wont have any cuztomers. youre in a customer service business and your favorite word is no. not a good way to run a business. read more

If you are looking for a fine dining experience, this is not the place! Upon walking in, the smell of the cloudy and dirty lobster tank was incredibly overwhelming! The tables are out dated and had white glass rings stains on them. The silverware is cheap, along with the thin paper napkins they are wrapped in. The food ok at best. Do NOT order the Bloody Mary! The Bloody Mary comes with tomato juice (add your own pepper from the table) a small amount or rail vodka, a green olive and a lemon wedge, oh along with two hamburger slice pickles in a condiment cup; a beer snit is not coming so don't ask. The location is great, our waitress was attentive and did a good job. Duluth is a great town with some really great restaurants, but NOT (big chain) Red Lobster! If you want to spend your money and are looking for a good meal and a great dining experience, support local restaurants; you will find entrepreneurs that care, you will get way better food and a lot more for your buck!! read more
