Nice location downtown Duluth near the William Irvin ship.An old Iron Ore ship that served the Duluth harbor and is now a museum. After our tour, we were all hungry and being close to the water made us more hungry for fish. This Red Lobster is decorated nicely. The dining area is spacious and clean. Our waitress Tammy was helpful in updating us on specials. We ordered two fish and chips and an ultimate feast. The fish was very well done. The fries were tasty and everything was fresh. The food is what's normal with Red Lobster as a chain. It is the layout and location of this restaurant that is attractive! If you are in Duluth stop on in and you won't be disappointed!!

I dig me some Red Lobster (my favorite chain) and this location did not disappoint. With COVID, they handled my reservation extremely well and we were promptly seated at a very clean table. This was followed by a friendly, courteous and prompt member of the wait team who certainly seemed to be going the extra mile to ensure we had no issues. Food was quick enough, fresh and portions were as expected. My ONLY issue was that the second round of biscuits took a little longer than my taste buds wanted but really, it was not late by any means. Well done RL, well done.....

Red Lobster is understandably a chain place and I get that. Sure, they have their Cheddar Bay Biscuits and there iconic lobster tank, but when it comes to originality there isn't too much going on. But a few things though that I will highlight: they probably have the best Caesar salad I have had anywhere else. There is just something about that dressing with fresh cracked pepper that puts it over the top. There is a slight tang that makes it the best creamy caesar dressing. What I love most about the Duluth location for Red Lobster is the building that it is located in. Found in one of the old brick warehouses in the canal district, it is arguably one of the prettiest Red Lobsters out there. So if you like the food, I won't judge. Every now and then I crave a biscuit and some AYCE shrimp too.

You can see from our receipt that we ordered quite a bit of food. The portions (from a year ago same time) were far smaller. For example, the baked potato was the size of two very small red potatoes. It came out last. Fish came out first. Tilapia was decent size but that's the only portion that was normal sized. The fish and chips only had one piece of fish. Other area restaurants are two. Our reservation was at 6:15pm. We left there at 8:30. Very long wait for food. The calamari used to be my favorite app. It used to be deep fried with broccoli pieces as well. It came out as just calamari rings without any broccoli pieces. Not worth $12. We waited for almost two hours for our food to come out. The lobster roll is not like the hoagie roll it appears to be in the picture or like any lobster roll on the east coast. This was $10 and laughable as it was a petite roll that came out in a small oval bowl. Our waiter was super nice and friendly. Knew we waited so gave us 2 desserts to go. I think he may have had too many tables because he would disappear for quite awhile and I would not see him (and we sat outside of the door that goes to the kitchen). Maybe he had tables on the other side who knows. The calamari was getting cold and I was hoping to flag him down for cocktail sauce but had to ask a manager walking around. I don't fault him at all. I think he did the best he could. I think the kitchen was stacked but if it was backed up, we should have been told. Basically, there are far less commercialized restaurants in the area where you can have a far better, fresher meal that is of normal proportions. Take a ride over to Eddies in Superior WI. Never, ever had a bad meal there and it would have been a 1/3 of the price. :) I won't be back to red lobster. Staple in Duluth but I am over it

Had their coconut butterfly shrimp. Excellent , what more would you want. Staff, service, cost, and excellent food. I forgot fast. Been here before, and it's still a favorite of mine. You want seafood, go to Red Lobster inDuluth. Still the best. I'll be back.

Review for today, bad food and service 6/05/2019 Stopped in while vacationing with my daughter in two harbors, we have come to this red lobster in the past and had very good service and food........ today we were wanting really badly to have the soup and salad. We always enjoy olive gardens endless soup and salad, so we're excited to hear red lobster was offering it as well.. We got the most wonderful biscuits as always, then came the service she came to the table and handed us everything first off, so we had to pass down as it came and we were on a regular table, she even held our glasses of tea in front of us till we took them to pass, sad, never quite had a server do this with everything. Then first was lobster bisque, I did not like it, not only was it cool, it tasted like it was made from that nacho cheese in a can, so I set it aside. Then she brought out another bowl, hoping it was hotter than the first saying bowls were cold, which was also cool, then I gave that one to my hubby, next time I saw her I asked her if we could mix it so I ordered clam chowder, it also came out slightly warm but was still the best clam chowder I have had in awhile, lots of clams in it.. would have really been good hot, hubby then got a warm flavorful bacon potato soup he liked as well, just wish soups were heated up more.. then came service we think she literally took breaks in between the soups as long as it took, we had to ask for water refills and never got tea refilled so we got three half cup bowls of warm soup, salad, biscuits, one glass of tea for $16..... sooooo terribly disappointed, would really like our money back and start all over. This so sucked if it was not for the cheddar bay biscuits...

Even though we are visiting Duluth during this crazy time of the wild fires, Duluth Grill made our trip worth it! They have a streamlined process for getting seated, the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and local area. My family ordered the usual staples: biscuits and gravy, pancakes and sausage, and bacon/eggs/sausage. All were hearty portions and perfectly prepped. I tried the "Triple B" which turns out to be a Midwest version of Bibimbop. Made with manoomin (wild rice), beef/pork mix, kimchi, marinated kale- probably my fave of the dish. The combo is a deliciously perfect power meal to start any day and weekend right! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the care they take in procuring local ingredients- even their kale and some herbs are from their own lil garden. I highly recommend the Duluth Grill, there's something for everyone! We will definitely stop by on our next trip out to Duluth.

CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS Sweet and spicy soy glaze with sautéed red peppers and scallions. These were a little too heavy on the sauce for my liking, but otherwise very good. If you're not a fan of sweeter flavors, this one may not be for you. BUFFALO MAC & CHEESE Cavatappi pasta tossed in a creamy mac sauce, topped with crispy buffalo chicken, blue cheese crumbles, and onion straws. We added bacon and chicken, and this was a top pick for us! The buffalo sauce had the perfect balance--not overly spicy, but enough flavor to complement the creamy mac and cheese. CPB CO. FISH AND CHIPS Craft beer-battered haddock served with Northcoaster fries and house-made tartar sauce. Another top pick for us! The fish was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly fried. When we arrived a bit after 7PM, we had quite some trouble finding parking and ended up having to park a couple of blocks away after circling for 20 minutes. Walking in, the place wasn't too busy, perhaps 50% capacity. We were interested in ordering the fried cheese curds, but the server told us they weren't battered in house, so we passed on them. Smoked Fish Salad (Market Price, $18.99) - This is a pretty salad - all ingredients are arranged in rows along the dish. Mixing things together is a bit of a pain, but I appreciate the dressing on the side to add to preference. The dressing is an interesting blend of mayo and other ingredients, perhaps BBQ sauce, that make it slightly tangy and very sweet. There's an undertone of smokiness throughout, which tastes somewhat like liquid smoke rather than the dressing actually being smoked. It is on the sweeter side of dressings. Other than greens, there's a row of wild rice, dark and snappy, completely broken cultivated rice. There's also a bit of house smoked trout, nice and smoky. (4/5) Classic Wild Rice Burger ($16.99) - This is one of the tallest burgers I've seen in quite a while, mostly due to the inclusion of fresh vegetables including onion and tomato, and alfalfa sprouts. For some reason instead of using larger tomatoes, they use small roma tomatoes, including three small slices. They also used red onion that's chopped into a variety of different shapes instead of whole slices. It's really strange - I guess this saves on cost? Unfortunately smaller pieces means things fall out while eating. The patty is larger than the bun. It has plenty of broken wild rice bits giving some additional crunch and that signature wild rice taste. It's charred on the griddle well and it keeps its structure, not falling apart or becoming mushy at any point. I love how it's distinctively a rice burger and doesn't try to be a meat substitute. Two slices of American cheese are melted on top that gives some fattiness to the dish. The bun is toasted without butter and there's a flavorful garlic mayo spread on the top. It would be nice if they had also applied the sauce to the bottom bun as I found the patty to not have enough moisture or fat incorporated. The burger comes with some thin commercial fries. There aren't any issues with the level of fry and they are otherwise unremarkable. (4/5) Fitger's Brewhouse serves some solid good old fashioned Midwestern American food. Not much else to say.
