I have always loved Olive Garden. Say what you will, but one thing about a good corporate restaurant is consistency. You know exactly what you're getting, and sometimes that's all you want. While I was in town, I decided to take my team out to dinner, so naturally we headed straight to the land of endless breadsticks and salad. We sat down and were immediately greeted by Kika, and honestly, she set the tone for the entire night. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and just an all-around cool human. Dinner started off on the right foot thanks to her. We all decided to live a little and try a drink from the menu. I went with the green apple sangria (no regrets), and we shared an appetizer: the shrimp fritto misto. And let me just say, Kika was absolutely right. The shrimp were delicious, and I loved all the fried veggies too. Crispy happiness. When it came time to order, I stayed true to form because why mess with a good thing? I ordered the rigatoni with meat sauce. (RIP penne you are missed.) Of course, we also ordered the endless salad and breadsticks with Alfredo dipping sauce, because if you're going to commit to carbs, you might as well go all in. Plus, salad = balance. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that they were open on Easter Sunday! I had the Cheese Ravioli and it was prepared just right (el dente). The meat sauce had a lot of meat in it which was almost like I had chopped up meatballs myself. I had my purse stolen here while dining with my family! A woman wearing a Covid type mask and her hoodie up told the reception desk she was there to meet friends. Called ahead for reservations.Had 8 people. I'm thinking maybe it was a new waitress or fairly inexperienced. However, she kept using personal terms of endearment like sweetie pie and honey. It took a long time for her to bring a little bit of meat sauce to my table. They messed up my order and gave me marinara sauce when I asked for meat sauce then it took forever for her to bring me a teeny tiny little container of meat sauce probably about five tablespoons. I don't know if it's under New Management or what but the lattes and the cappuccinos were terrible they were nothing but warm milk. I could hardly taste coffee. They need to be stronger. Also, it took forever to get her to the table to help us with paying the bills on the computer. This was quite an imposition since it was a table of 62 to 92-year-old people. Not impressed with the food it just didn't taste like it usually does. I joined a small group of girlfriends here for our monthly gab fest over dinner. Although everyone knows Olive Garden isn't "authentic" Italian food, it hits the spot when you're craving carbs. And there are enough menu alternatives if you aren't looking for carbs. When we arrived at 5:30 there were lots of open tables, but just 30 minutes later the place was packed. Service was fine (but not like in fine dining), the food came quickly and it was hot. Always love the option to add as much cheese as you please. And that big ol' bowl of never-ending salad and never-ending breadsticks can't be beat. I had the soup and salad and friends ordered lasagna, shrimp, and salmon. They all brought half of their entrees home. I came here for New Year's Day for lunch! The service was quick and timely! Our server Celeste was very attentive! I got the gnocchi soup and the chicken and shrimp carbonara! Both were amazing! I am obsessed with their breadsticks and our server made it confusing saying the Alfredo sauce was included even though it was around $5. Pulled up to the drive up area and responded on the link that I was there and which spot I was in. There was no auto text or replay staying they received my text and would be out. So I waited. My rating is 3.5 stars. I enjoy visiting an Olive Garden whenever I am in the States. I did a search and found this location after spending a few hours shopping. I drove over here, which was less than ten minutes. I got a parking spot steps away from the entrance. I backed into it and walked over. Three greeters were standing around. I didn't know who I needed to look at. One of the guys asked if I wanted a seat at the bar. Nope, I wanted a table. I was promptly seated at one. I asked where the washrooms were. They are typically by the front door, but this restaurant seemed new. I got the directive that it's "over there." I had to clarify that he meant straight ahead and at the back of the restaurant. I found it. It's modern and bright. You have the option of either drying your hands with paper towel using the automatic dispenser or blow-drying them with the Dyson AirBlade. When I got to my table, I saw a server pacing. His pacing gave it away that he was my server. His first language was Spanish, but spoke decent English. He offered a wine sample. I asked what he had. It was a merlot. He poured. I swirled, smelled, and sipped. It was okay. He then asked me if I wanted a glass. I said that I needed to think about it. Already, I knew that he was a bit on the pushy side. He came back. I asked for a raspberry lemonade, which is my norm. He then stood there, likely expecting me to tell him what I wanted to order. I had to tell him that I needed more time. He went away. I really don't enjoy being forced to make a decision. Thank goodness I asked for more time. I saw the sangria varieties on th menu and knew that I wanted to try the watermelon moscato sangria. I also went with chicken scampi, which is my usual. He came back and I was ready to order. I pointed at the watermelon sangria. He seemed to either have an issue with comprehension or wasn't familiar with the sangria varieties. Everything else went well when I ordered the chicken scampi and zuppa Toscana. Breadsticks and zuppa Toscana came first. I got three breadsticks and could only finish two f them. The breadsticks were yummy, especially with my soup. I did finish my bowl of zuppa Toscana, which was good, but on the smoother side. My server asked if I wanted refills on both. Nope, I was good. My watermelon moscato sangria came next. It was so good. Who says that sangria is a summer drink. I can drink it all day. I fished out the strawberry chunks from my drink and ate them. My chicken scampi arrived. It seemed larger than I had remembered the portion to be. I still ate it all. It was yummy. The chicken was tender. The noodles were flavourful, but weren't coated with the sauce. I needed to thoroughly mix everything together. I liked the green and red bell peppers, and onions. My server expected me to order dessert. It was simply an odd experience. I actually asked for a refill on the raspberry lemonade and ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce for $5. I paid using the machine on the table with my credit card. The server was good in showing me where to insert my credit card, which is on the right side of the machine. The transaction went smoothly. There was a delay with getting those fine chocolate mints. He made up for it by asking me how many mints I wanted. I said a couple. To him, a couple meant seven. I liked this math. We visited this Olive Garden because the one in Bloomington was temporarily closed. We were glad we came here. The place was new and everything looked clean. We had to wait less than 5 minutes to be seated. We were helped right away. We ordered the appetizer sampler, Chicken Carbonara Pasta and another pasta with beef chilli (don't remember the name). The sampler is something we used to order and it was great as usual. Both the pasta were good. We loved the service and our waiter was very patient and professional. For desserts we ordered the chocolate cake and some white chocolate and raspberry based Dolcini. The Dolcini was amazing. We wished we had ordered more. The chocolate cake was way too chocolatey and we couldn't have more than half. Unfortunately we had to leave the other half at the table. Overall a great experience and will definitely continue to visit this Olive Garden. read more

I hadn't been to the "new" Olive Garden as my last experience (obviously at the former site) was lousy. This time around (a Saturday lunch) I found that nothing, aside from a much more attractive structure, had changed. Specifics: The time gap between placing an order and receiving the entrée was easily, according to my dining partners, 25 minutes. Consider the restaurant was not 40% of capacity so the wait was excessive. The staff enjoys hanging around outside the entrance to the kitchen. Convenient for them, lousy for guests seated in the area. I have little interest in hearing about theor combined work schedules pr the day's prior business levels. I just compared Olive Garden's website photo to the one I was served. Not close in terms of appearance or size of the portion. At $17 the Alfredo (without chicken/shrimp) represents little value when compared to non-chain outlets. Overpriced, well under delivered. Sure, the bread sticks arrive like snow during a Minnesota winter which is why every child under age 13 calls Olive Garden their "favorite." I believe most guests would prefer faster delivery of their entrée instead of more bread baskets flying across the table. The delays also require the service staff to make excuses for the gaps which were obvious at tge surrounding tables. Service was as good as one could anticipate when considering slow kitchen work and it pushed my rating to a "2." As mentioned when I last dined at an Olive Garden, I would almost always prefer the independent owner operator. Nothing has changed. read more

I ordered food to be delivered tonight according to the receipt it was ready at 7:05, I received my food at 7:40. The driver let me know he was from Uber and that Uber had sent him off on two different pick ups so all my food sat there while he went to total wine to get another delivery. The Olive Garden in Minnetonka MN is an incredible bargain for excellent food. The lunch menu is varied and the portions are large. I had the egg plant which came with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce, a delicious salad and bread sticks. From the moment I walked in, I was very impressed with the design. The old location in St. Louis Park was dated. However, I was so sad to see that location go since it was so close to my home and work! On our 1/6/2020 visit, we were seated at a booth set for 6 people in the bar. They said they didn't have any other tables available. I went to the restroom and saw that there were multiple, smaller booths available in that area of the restaurant. The bar was loud. The music was loud, people at the bar were loud. It was quite a bit irritating. However, the food was good and was like any other Olive Garden. With 4 kids in tow and no reservation made, we got there at 5pm on a Saturday evening and were promptly seated. I had the Shrimp Fritto Misto and the rest of our table had the Chicken Parmesan, grilled chicken Alfredo, kids menu pizzas and macaroni and cheese and lots of their bread sticks (4 baskets of 6). Salad came with the 2 entrees and when I asked to order a side salad, the server said he'd bring out an extra plate as there should be enough (there was!!). Wow! I'm not an Olive Garden die hard by any means. My fiance wanted to go here for his birthday, and so we did. I can not say enough great things about our experience here tonight. The service was phenomenal, and the food was just as great. We had two appetizers, three entrées and two desserts, and everything was amazing. The salad, soup, and breadsticks were more than enough to fill me up. Leaving only enough room to try one bite of my chicken marsala. Once we got home (about a 30 minute drive) I dove into the best Marsala I've ever had! I might be a convert.
