I had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience at Olive Garden. I spent over $52 on dinner and ordered the Chicken Scampi. After I started eating my meal, my tongue began to itch, and I quickly developed a rash. Since I did not order any seafood, I realized my food appears to have been cross-contaminated with seafood during preparation. Because of my reaction, I had to throw my entire meal away. The next day, I called the restaurant to report what had happened. Unfortunately, the experience only got worse. The supervisor, William, was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, he blamed me and said I should have informed the restaurant that I have a seafood allergy. While I understand that notifying a restaurant of allergies is important, food that does not contain seafood should not be cross-contaminated with seafood in the first place. To make matters worse, the restaurant only offered to refund part of what I paid, despite the fact that I suffered an allergic reaction, lost my meal, and have been dealing with a rash for most of the week. Because I believe this is a serious food safety issue, I have reported the incident to the appropriate authorities for investigation. I strongly encourage anyone with food allergies to use caution when dining at this restaurant. Based on my experience, I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously, and I was left feeling blamed rather than supported after experiencing what appears to have been a preventable cross-contamination incident. read more

Overall, a good Ocala Olive Garden experience. I ordered take out and was greeted by the front. I was a little confused where to go when I entered the building. I ordered ahead of time and was told 20-25 minutes. I was a little confused because I just ordered soup and salad, but I figured they were busy. I came in and the parking lot was letting out from what looked like a baby shower. I felt bad for getting frustrated initially so I went inside to wait for my food. They were super nice to me and the restaurant was busy. I finally got my food and headed home. The soup wasn't super hot and I didn't get any of those mints! I ordered a Shirley temple and it was a little too sweet for me and watered down. Overall, good experience here and I'll be back next time! read more

It's been a while since we ate are Olive Garden. We looked forward to soup and salad with two entrees to take home. We had the great good fortune to have Lili serve us- pleasant, attentive, informative, efficient- the whole package! My husband had the minestrone and I had the sausage and potato. I loved mine but Jim's was ""okay". Neither of us were thrilled with the salad. We us Olive Garden salad dressing at home but this had on off flavor. The breadsticks and the greens themselves were fine. We ordered chicken parm and chicken and shrimp carbonara to take home as well as two of their $6 mini meals- fettuccine and Bolognese. We have yet to eat those. It will probably be a while before we head back. There are other Italian that have caught our attention. HOWEVER, if you want to be pampered, go to OG and ask for Lili. You won't be disappointed! read more

What went well was about everything! Our server, Arianna, was about as helpful, friendly and experienced as we could nope for? We had questions about the lunch menu and what came with what. We both ordered soup and salad, endless and started with the chicken gnocchi which was served quickly and hot. Hot breadsticks and salad came out right after. Our drinks were always full, grated cheese was offered with both soup and salad. We had noticed a promotion where you could get one 3 entrees to bring home for $6. The wait to get a table was incredibly long with a ton of people getting in ahead. The persons in charge of that process were calling other tables completely out of order. Food was gloppy, overcooked pasta, salty, not hot and not prepared well at all. The servers were all great though. When for lunch with my 83-year-old parents. Both my mom and I had the salad and my father the soup. My mom couldn't finish her salad before her meal came so my dad ate it. When the bill came the waitress added on a side salad for $6.95 because he finished her salad. When questioned the waitress said it was policy and would not remove it. We were seated toward the back of the restaurant. I was taken aback at the foul musty and sour odor....which I think was coming from the carpet. The strong scent of Peppermint, which I think they were trying to cover up the odor from the carpet, was giving me a headache. We were seated in one of the four booths. I asked the server what the peppermint smell was and she said she didn't know but that she smells it every once in awhile. The server was very sweet and attentive. Then the Alfredo sauce came for our breadsticks....which I have had MANY times, it looked very odd! I took pictures! It had many little brown things in it! A new recipe perhaps? My husband ate it, I could not! The server did not know why it looked like it did! My Zuppa Toscana soup had the Kale leaves still attached to the tough stems! This happened in 2024 and I'm going to post it every year around the time this awful experience happened! ETA: this was posted across social media platforms and several customers and even previous employees came forward with the same experience! Last night me and my family went to the Olive Garden right next to the red lobster on 200. We were celebrating my little sister bday. It was a party of about 15. As we were leaving my mom realized she left her purse hanging on her chair. At this time Olive Garden keeps their doors locked so no new customers try coming in. Immediately after walking out my mom started banging on the door to tell management her purse is inside. They refused to let my mother in and said they would look for it at our table. They came back and said her purse was no where to be found. My mom then demanded she go inside and look for it that's when one of the servers handed her her purse from the KITCHEN area. They stole $600 out of my mom's wallets all within 3 minutes! There was a bus boy who was waiting next to our table till we left he was the last one next to our table and we even said goodbye to him. Next thing we know money is gone and bus boy said he wasn't even near our table. Cops were called and everyone got patted down but this was several moments after giving the person whoever stole money plenty of time to hide it or sneak out back and place it in their vehicle. Olive Garden also has no cameras within the establishment not even outside either. Management claimed her team would never do this but inside was laughing thinking this whole scene was funny. The $600 was never found and someone was definitely lying. Just wanted to warn everyone about this Olive Garden. It's desperate times right now, my mom only had that amount in her wallet bc my little sister gave her the cash for her car note and car insurance. Whoever stole that $600 was targeting us the entire time and is having a hay day with it. My mom was extremely upset and crying. I know for a fact I wouldn't eat here ever again. read more

Of all the Olive Gardens we've been to, this one was by far the worst. For beginner's, the guy catty-corner from us kept playing videos on his phone with the volume up full blast. Then, we couldn't get our Arnold Palmers because they were out of lemonade for some odd reason. For appetizers, my husband ordered the shrimp fritto misto. I'm allergic to shrimp (Which I informed our waitress of) so I was just looking forward to the salad and breadsticks with the Alfredo dipping sauce. We got three breadsticks. Why do they do that? Three to split between two people? So we have to fight over the last one? That's yet another annoyance here. Breadsticks we received about 5 minutes after our plain teas. No dipping sauce until after my husband got his shrimp appetizer. Still no salad. Maybe they had to kill the lettuce? One solitary olive and two tiny pieces of tomato accompanied by almost no dressing and no seasoning. Ugh. Our entrées came out about 15 minutes after the salad and they looked like they had been sitting keeping warm somewhere maybe. I've always loved their alfredo sauce, but both the alfredo dipping sauce AND the alfredo on my fettuccini were practically flavorless and watery. We asked for black pepper, hoping to add SOMETHING of flavor to our food. It didn't do much. This was a horrible experience this time. They need to really work on sauces, timing and their available drinks!! read more

First of all Channelle our server was more than amazing! One of the best server I have had in my life! Very friendly, knowledgeable, quick, responsive, I can't say enough good things about her. This OG is a really well ran, from the servers, greeters and kitchen. Seems to have a great synergy. The food was hit and delicious! You can't beat the never ending sauce!!!! $4.95!!! So yummy! The breadsticks were perfect and the salad typical tasty OG. I had the chicken parmesan with spaghetti, it was the standard OG flavor, good stuff. Daughter had French Fries and loved them! Wife had minestrone soup and she said it was perfect. The Ambiance was true American Italian!!! Fun place. Very clean including the restrooms. I highly recommend this OG in Ocala Florida! read more

Went for a Pre-New Years eve lunch. It was in the 40's outside, but the inside of the restaurant was freezing and uncomfortable. My husband used the restroom before lunch and with it being just after the place opened around 11:30 am the bathroom trash was overflowing, there were no paper towels to dry your hands. I ordered egg plant Parm without sauce and asked if I could get fettuccine instead of the spaghetti, as I can't do red sauce, she said no problem. My husband got Chicken Parm and got asparagus as his vegetable. When the check came I was charged $3.95 up-charge for getting the fettuccine which by the way was a tiny portion and my husband was also charged $3.95 for the asparagus. We were not told anything about up-charges. They did take the charge off for my husbands side but not mine. Also when we ordered lunch the silverware they brought out was filthy and greasy. We ended up getting two more sets which were actually worse than the first. We just tried to clean them ourselves and eat before our lunches got cold. We usually save Olive Garden for special occasions, and this is not the first time we have been disappointed. We will not be back. I love Olive Garden but this one has failed us twice which was unacceptable. read more

Came for a family dinner, ordered mozzarella sticks and they were empty... no cheese, exploded. I brought this to my server's attention and she replaced less than a half order. The manager never came to the table and our server never came to the table again. All of our ur food came out cold and dry. Will probably not go to this location again. Decided to take my wife and youngest son here before he left for Navy Boot Camp on Thursday. We hadn't eaten at Olive Garden in a few years, but gave it a try anyway. We were seated pretty quickly. We ordered our food and the appetizer came out hot, but the bread sticks were not cooked long enough. As for the entrees, I ordered the dinner lasagna portion, which seemed more of an appropriate size for a kid, was just above room temp and dry. I also ordered a side of meatballs, which we had to send back due to being cold and came back still cold. The broccoli on my wife's plate was not cooked enough and my son's shrimp and spaghetti plate had way too many peppers. There was a large table nearby, which made way too much noise and was not approached by management about it. My jaw nearly hit the floor when the bill came to over $92 and they didn't even have a military discount. We will not be returning again! Thank you Olive Garden for ruining what was supposed to be a good memory for our son. Maybe managers should do their jobs by quality checking the food before disappointing their guests. read more

I was overlooked when I was waiting to be seated. Hostess sat a couple that came in after I did, before me. When I finally got to my table, numerous employees walked around me, but I waited over 10 minutes before I finally asked a server if my table had a server assigned to it. Oh, probably with the fact that my table was covered in garbage, which they cleaned off throughout the night, also as if they didn't want me to notice, like you are literally my waiter. Now, onto the main subject... WATER. The water, i'll admit is cold. BUT, they do put it in a paper cup that makes your water full of paper bits, making it a legit hazard. This may differ per olive garden, but i have a hard time believing so. Service was terrible and food is straight boot. Would rather be handed an empty bowl and have my waiter spit in it. First there are no OG in Hawaii so OG is always the first place I go. Ate at the bar and Alvarez served me. He was phenomenal and ?bvnis se I wanted soup, salad and chicken scampi but I knew I couldn't eat an entire dinner portion of scampi so he allowed me to order a lunch portion. Most servers would usually just say I had to get the dinner portion and if I had I wouldn't of ordered the extra side of dipping sauce and the soup. In the end by letting me get a smaller less costly lunch portion, I spent more money to Olive Garden because the bartender listened to what I wanted. The restaurant met my expectations for OG. Tasty soup, fresh salad and warm breadsticks. Definitely recommend this location read more

After lunch. About 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday. The parking lot is far from full. A table for five. People -- who work here -- are all standing around (more evidence they are that busy) and we wait 15 minutes for a table. Really? The place is not even busy. Not a good start. Finally a table. I told the hostess we could easily go somewhere else if it was too much trouble to get us a table. (Yeah, I was that guy) Trash still sitting on a tray next to the table. Guess they weren't quite ready. I guess the food needs to be extra good to make up for a less than spectacular start to this visit. The salad was very good, as usual. My wife had the shrimp scampi, the girls had stuffed shells and fettuccine Alfredo, my son and I each had the chicken alfredo. Luckily the chef's nearly saved a disastrous outing. The food was outstanding, but the overall attitude right at the front door left a totally unpleasant impression and memory. Every Olive Garden I have ever been too has been pretty consistent. The only real difference is the service. This one was no different. Our server was meh. Accommodating? Yes Personable? No. I don't think I saw her smile one time. It was quite obvious she didn't want to be there. Luckily the food was better than the service. On this particular visit I ordered Chicken & Shrimp Carbonara. This is definitely one of the better dishes I had at OG. The cream sauce is made with bacon and roasted red peppers.
