She was so kind to the elderly people next to our table, and they must have been regulars because she was saying their normal orders and what they always removed from the salad to confirm with them. They do have the nice kiosk where you can check out whenever you want. The salad came out on time and it was pretty good I would say. We got the dressing on the side which made the salad less soggy and they were good on not getting us croutons when we did not ask for it. As for the soup, it took longer than expected. I thought they would have everything premade and in a huge kettle and all the waitress had to do was scoop it in a bowl and that was it. But it took longer than expected. I tried the chicken dumpling soup and it was good and the minestrone was okay. Lots of beans however. After a trying day, I treated myself to Olive Garden in Rockwall. I was greeted in a friendly inviting was as soon as I walked in. Once I was seated I was greeted by John. John was friendly, attentive and accommodating. I really appreciated that John wrote down my order and special requests. My meal was prepared well. Each course brought out in a timely manner. Everything was delicious. I also asked John for a To Go order. John was pleasant to work with. This was one of the most enjoyable meals I have had. John was also polite and considerate when checking on me. John went above and beyond when preparing my to go order and helping me everything I needed to pack my leftovers. This is certainly not my favorite Italian restaurant to go to but my husband likes to eat here once in away to have their lunch portion lasagna and all you can eat salad. I decided on meatballs and soup for lunch. Service was great and we didn't have much of a wait from the time we ordered until it was delivered. all my girls wanted for Valentine's Day was Olive Garden. So I ordered a family size chicken, fettuccine Alfredo, an extra side of Alfredo, and a big salad. did carb side pickup for 4:30. got my food right in time and took ten 30 min trip home. Got all gifts ready for them and started getting dinner together only to find out they did not add my big pan of Alfred, only my side I ordered. called them and took the 30 min trip back up there to get it. Then the 30 mins home. let me just say it was not good and the amount of grease in my meals made me so sick. I want be back and that's a shame it was my favorite place. yes I did get a 30.00 gift card for having to go back to pick up what they left off, how ever I spent 110.00 on the meal and 2 hours of my time going 2 times. September 22 we did a birthday dinner for my granddaughter 21st birthday it was horrible. My dish was sent back twice for being dry and overcooked, one guest took over 20mins to get their drink. Our table was cluttered with dirty dishes because our server never took the initiative to remove them we literally started just putting them on the next table. One guest had chicken Alfredo with shrimp added, the shrimp still had its shell on it. Imagine eating a pasta dish with shrimp and having to spit the shell out. Our party of five was very understanding, two people arrived 30 minutes in advance to ensure a table. They said no problem, they had a table when we all arrived at 11am. We had a function to attend so had to get in and out by noon. Everyone arrived at the restaurant promptly at 11am, the hostess said, "give us a minute and we'll get your table". They proceeded to seat everyone else while we stood there waiting. After they sat everyone else waiting in the lobby, the manager looked up and said, "we'll be right with you". We said that our party was there first, and the hostess had said they were getting our table, this was obviously not happening. The manager then said, "We'll get you a table, just give us 10-15 minutes". We quickly explained that we got there at 10:30am, the very first in the restaurant. Clueless as this manager was, he had no apology and no solution. Insulting as this was, this will be the last time we ever go to Olive Garden in Rockwall. Whenever anyone suggests Olive Garden, we'll be quick to find an alternative. If you like good Italian, venture to Rowlett and visit Valentino's, you'll enjoy GREAT food and won't have any issue with incompetent staff and management. read more

My date and I was really looking forward for Ialian night but sadly left due to our server offending us. Apparently our server used to be a police officer and overheard our private conversation about cocktails earlier, refused to allow me to order a cocktail with our appetizer order and my unsweetened tea. Mind you I am 43 and not causing a ruckus nor am I slurring my speech-nothing of that nature. When I asked if he wasn't serving me a drink because of my conversation with my date about a strong cocktail I ordered earlier in the evening elsewhere he said yes. From the outstanding service to delicious food I've been made a believer again. It's been a couple years since I've eaten at an Olive Garden but this experience was by far the best mainly because of our waitress Dee she was on top of it the entire time and made sure we had what we needed no matter how many requests we had she had a smile on her face and took care of it. I would definitely request to sit in her section! As far as the food it came out in a timely manner and tasted great. I went out to dinner with my two grandkids last night and they were excited to go to the Olive Garden in Rockwall. The food was consistent with other OG restaurants and was brought to us fairly quickly. The waitress was in a rush even though there wasn't many other people dining. My biggest frustration was the mini computerized game box that was on the table. Instead of telling me that it cost $1.99 to use, the waitress said, "oh, 2 kids? Want me to bring another monitor?"
