"That's Amore" - Dean Martin. Olive Garden in Sherman, TX was bookmarked ahead of time from yours truly sitting behind a desk in Hawaii. Why OG? Why not local eateries? Because OG is so freakin expensive in Hawaii and we just wanted to fill up on cheap, good, predictable eats, that's why! I also bookmarked an all you can eat Japanese sushi and Thai place, but it was $30 a person. My husband had Chicken Parm with the Chicken Gnocchi soup and he loved it. I had the eggplant parm and it was fresh. Our server was super nice. I wish I could remember her name. She said she was going to college and managed to save up enough money and maybe one day she was going to be able to make it to Hawaii in style. Really loved her. The bathroom was GROSS. I am not even going to tell you what I saw in one toilet and on the floor in the next one. I skipped using the toilet, it was that bad. But I did not come for the toilets, only the food. We were served bad broccoli that had become mushy and had black spots on it. The waiter apologized and took the broccoli back to the kitchen. The kitchen staff convinced him the broccoli had black spots from cooking. My wife currently has food poisoning. Very poor food safety! read more

I went to the Olive Garden in Sherman tonight, and I just have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the service!! First of all, when we arrived, the store was crazyyyy busy and the wait was an hour, but, they were very quick with the service and we got seated after about 30 minutes. Second of all, our server, Jacob, was AMAZING!!! He was so attentive and cracked some jokes with us! (he was the GOAT!!). And finally, the establishment seemed very clean and under control for the amount of people that were there. All of the staff was friendly and we had a great experience. Well i am very sad about my service today, i stop to eat at 5pm for a good dinner, and our server Kayla was a little lost, I understand sometimes we are on stress but we have the entree before the appetizer plus the last was the drink because we ask for it , very sad see all the other helping her and when i stop a the restrooms and i see her on her phone have a good conversation when the other coworker doing her job and they was very stressed. This is the best OG I've ever been to. The manager was right at the front overseeing things and greeted us. Our waiter Jacob was so accommodating making sure he checked on us frequently and provided EXCELLENT service for us. Everyone that assisted in bringing our food or condiments was very pleasant also. The appetizers, soup and salad and the main entree all arrived within one minute of each other ( I hate not being able to take a minute to enjoy a meal because the next course is sitting there getting cold.). You know I've never been a huge fan of Olive Garden, other than the salad and breadsticks. And that's what I had today and was great. This review is more about the service we received. Our waitress was great and very attentive. But my mom has had some leg issues and is taking physical therapy and uses a walker for now. When we went in the restaurant a delivery guy with an arm load of food to be delivered, took time to stop and hold the door for mom though she was still a ways off and I offered I hold it, but he insisted he didn't mind. When we left the host did the same thing for her and was very kind and ask us to come back and to have a great day. Thank you for being such a kind staff!!! read more

I went there to enjoy celebrating me and my husband's anniversary. We were told that we would be receiving a piece of cake as a gift. We enjoyed our meal and paid the ticket. The piece of cake was showing as still pending payment. The waitress told us no problem. We left and I checked my email witch showed the total was 52. My card was charged 63. For 2 days they've told me why they can't fix it till the next day. I just want the money back on the card. Is that so hard? read more

I'm adding a star to my original review. I haven't tried the wifi to see if issue was resolved but I know someone contacted me to attempt to. I've been visiting here lots with groups of 6 to 8 people during the all you can eat pasta promotion. The waitstaff had been more consistent overall in terms of service from my original impression. The meals have always been freshly cooked. Original review Typical Olive Garden. It can be hit and miss depending on wait staff you get. Most do fairly well. If you come often, I'd suggest learning names of waitstaff you like. The low score is because they have serious internet issues. I can't tell if the speed is slow or they block everything but do not try to update anything- it will fail. Also OneNote online is unavailable. My only other issue is that one of the main front staff will not look at the online table requests. We've been lucky, but we usually have a group and it isn't a friendly greeting always when you mention it. We stopped using the app and just wait if we have to. Now, if you want an Italian margarita and great service- ask for Richard- he is the greatest, and keep it moving. I used to really love OG, but over the years they have just gone down! Yall got servers in there who are way inconsistent. I go in with my husband like I do often and for the first time my waitress April wont serve me a glass of wine (even though its legal). When I asked her why, she said because the server had told her not to. Earlier this month I came in & the server happily served us, but once he advanced at me he has made it a point to harass my husband and I... I am completely disgusted that I cant go out for a nice dinner with my husband without being bothered. If we EVER come back again (which I doubt we will) it will be to sit in April's section. read more

Pleasantly SURPRISED!!! I haven't eaten at an Olive Garden in years, but we moved out to the country and kind of limited on Italian food options. Oh my were we so happy that we ventured in....and have at least every other week since! The staff is so sweet and attentive, the food always fresh and hot, the wait ....what wait? lol.... I just wish the bread sticks were the same as back in the day, they are a bit dry and lacking in flavor....wha wha...but other than that really good. Me and my boyfriend came to this place to eat before the movies and holy. The waitress was sweet and the place is okay but the food was awful. i order the chicken parmigiana . by the looks of it i knew something was off but i ate it anyway. We got to the movies and all was well until about 45mins into the movie when i got a very sharp pain in my stomach . i went to the bathroom and omg. i had the worst food poisoning of my life. everything that could've happened happened . i was puking i was shitting and omg it was awful. i missed the whole movie and everyone that came into the bathroom all walked in saying ew and even one group of girls started gagging at the smell of it . it was awful. -100/10 experience for the sherman olive garden. Very happy with the salad, breadsticks, pasta, stuffed mushrooms, chicken parm sandwich, mushroom ravioli, etc.... very very good. Brian was a spectacular server. The calamari was past overdone... beyond the chewy point... we didn't eat them. Atmosphere was charming... standard. Temperature was quite warm and we were sweating by the end of the meal. The chicken parmagiana was great the chicken alfredo had a good flavor the texture was a little rubbery the breadsticks were a showstopper. I was Im super happy with the doneness of the pasta it's just a hair off al denti but the best I've had at a olive garden. I feel olive garden has done good recently they have gone back to their roots as being a fancy place for poor people. Our server was super good and mojitos are pretty tasty.
