I met a friend for lunch here recently and we had a nice meal. We got there shortly after they opened on a Saturday so they were not busy yet. The hostess sat us right away. Our waiter was busy or not there yet so the manager took our drink orders and then later our food orders. Our waiter then showed up and took care of us the rest of the time. I started with the salad. My friend had one of the soups. We both liked our starters. And you cannot beat the breadsticks. For my entree, I had the lasagna. It was a good sized portion and was really delicious. Not too heavy actually. Nice layers. My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs. She really liked her dish too. She took some of it home and the waiter even brought a few extra breadsticks for her when he brought the to-go container. I don't like the whole paying at your table with the table-top machines but I guess it allows you to go when you want to. It easily allowed us to pay for our meals separately. My problem was not with the food; the food was delicious. However, the service was below par. My fiancé and I have been to this specific Olive Garden and this is the first time we had this issue. I walked in with my mother-in-law and my sleeping 8 month old. My fiancé was coming to see me, his mom and our son on his lunch break, he wasn't even coming to eat. But they insisted that we had to wait for the whole party to be there but we were trying to get a table to spend time with him. They said we would have to sit at the bar since our whole party wasn't there. The restaurant was not even really busy. Mind you, we had an infant with us so obviously we were going to need a booster/high chair. The host gives us a booster for an older child with no strap which is obviously not going to work so i went to the car to grab his stroller since he was sleeping. By the time I came back he was awake, so I asked for a high chair. They said we can't sit at the bar with a high chair or a stroller even though we came in with the baby and they insisted we had to sit there. They made us get up and move to the back of the restaurant so we could have a high chair. They did not even help us move our stuff as we already had menus, tableware, and drinks. They left it all at the other table. They still took the stroller even though I told them I could collapse it and put it against the wall since it wouldn't be in the walkway as they had moved us to the corner. On top of that, we had very delayed service and our server barely checked in on us. It wouldn't have been an issue if we hadn't already dealt with everything beforehand. I have never had this issue before at this Olive Garden, let alone any other Olive Garden we've been to with our baby. Or any restaurant at all. I want to start off by saying that me and my wife have been coming to this location for almost 10 years now. And for the most part it has always been good experiences. The restaurant is clean, in good shape, and always feels lively. This last visit was probably our best experience ever thanks to an amazing server. Very polite, friendly, and always checking on us for any refills and what not. Even with how busy it was, he kept hustling and attending to all his guests. So thank you Adrian for providing exceptional service! The food was great too. It all came out pretty quick and everything coming out starting from appetizer to entrees were hot and fresh. Came here on a Friday at 1. Asked the front server about gluten free menu. She showed me one and I said ok. And she said someone will bring one to me later but never did. I just order a Herbed Salmon and it came with broccoli. The salmon was too small for $24! And it wasn't that tasty. Broccoli was very mushy. The manager came over and he asked if everything's ok. I mentioned the broccoli was mushy and he said he would make it without any seasoning . Then it came out still very mushy. I think it's just not fresh broccoli but frozen. Also, the quality of the broccoli was so bad that it has black spots. It's just not edible. The food was just not worth the price . Placed a catering takeout order here on Christmas Eve for a family gathering. The food was good and everything was warm when I got home -- pretty much what you would expect from Olive Garden, and my family enjoyed it. The reason for the 4 stars is the pickup experience. When I asked the takeout staff if everything was included, they quickly said yes and went back inside. I know it was a busy day and I should have double-checked too, especially with all the holiday errands and traffic. I live about 25 minutes away, so once I got home and unloaded everything, I realized the salad was missing. I called the restaurant, and they apologized. I drove back since we needed it for our party. While I asked if they could at least provide an extra breadstick for the inconvenience, they also offered to send me a gift card via email as compensation. I provided my email address -- but as of now, I still haven't received anything. Overall, the food was great and the order was almost perfect, but I think the service could have been better, especially when handling catering orders during the holidays. Came by on a Thursday afternoon lunchtime. Very busy. Service was ok because it was busy so it took some time to get some things but our server was very sweet and did bring us what we wanted and needed I got the lunch soup and salad special, my daughter got a kids meal spaghetti that came with a drink and fries Servers brought bread to our table and when we ran out We got an appetizer menu item to share that seems to be a new item on the menu because I've never seen it before and had to try, lasagna fritta. It was delicious, I ended up eating most of it and took some home to share, which was still even scrumptious the next day!! When packing up leftovers, I'm glad how accommodating our server was to bring the right amount out boxes with bags as needed. I feel bad for leaving the chocolate mints, but I'm not a fan. Another favorite of ours! So it's my first time coming here during the week and was finally able to get a lunch special!!!! What a steal! I got two bowls of soup before my main dish came and I was too full to eat my main course hahah but I got dinner and lunch for like $12. We got take-out recently and got their party tray of chicken alfredo, soup, and breadsticks. Liked that the alfredo sauce came separate, and it was very tasty. The soup was plentiful. We then came to dine-in for a dinner date. The hostess was super friendly and kind! very welcoming and cheerful so they're doing right by having her up there. My shrimp alfredo seemed to be a bit on the dry side, not enough sauce. our server didn't check on us often so that I could let him know. Instead of waiting I decided to keep eating. Service could've been better on this evening - seemed we were the server's only table in that area for some reason, yet there were 2 other servers in our area too, and they were more present. I always like to come here when they are either doing their endless pasta or lunch special. This time they currently weren't offering their endless pasta special, but we did come before 3 pm so we were able to order from the lunch menu. I've never had any major problems with this location. There's usually never a wait when I go, and for this most recent visit our server was really attentive and always asked if we wanted more soup or salad. Only thing I miss is the chocolate that they used to give out at the end of your meal ... are they gatekeeping it?? Where'd it go? I must say this is my fave Olive Garden. I do try to arrive between 2-3pm to miss the lunch rush but still get the Weekday Lunch Special. The interior reminds me of a large, dining room off to the side of a kitchen. Cozy. I was lucky enough to get a window seat in a corner. My friend was running late to join me but Lawrence took good care of me by being attentive and refilling my drinks and suggesting a tasty appetizer to hold me over. Once my friend arrived, our service was still outstanding and we really enjoyed our lasagna, chicken parm, zuppa toscana and minestrone soups! Soups were unlimited. The meatball appetizer had good flavor with a nice sauce and cheesy goodness surrounding it. The chicken parm was just one piece, yet the side of spaghetti with it made it more than enough. I ordered two big trays of food with a big portion of soup and salad. I arrived to pick up my order around 4:10 and let them know I was there. Other cars arrived after mine and received their orders first. I had to call to remind them I was there and they acted surprised. I also asked for utensils and plates since it was a big order and they only gave me 1 plate, 1 cup, 1 utensil packet, a plastic cup filled with ice and 1 bowl. a white lady named janine was incredibly rude, snarky, and passive aggressive. she took way too long to take our drink order and by the time she did we were already ready to order our food because we were waiting for so long. there were people around us who got sat after we arrived that got their drinks and food first. she made me and my partner feel illiterate when asking a simple question about my food. she grabbed my menu and said "let's read it together shall we" while using her pen to point at the words one by one. the white people in the booth next to us said "she's racist" because they saw how she was treating us. we kept checking our food to make sure it wasn't tampered with because i feared she might have done something to it. very disappointed with her service and it definitely put a damper in my mood. will not be returning. read more

This policy was never communicated at the time of booking. What made it worse was the unpleasant and inflexible behavior of the staff. Even though our missing friend arrived shortly after, the way the situation was handled left such a bad impression that we chose to leave the restaurant instead of dining there. First time at Olive Garden and I was pleasantly surprised by the never-ending super salads and breadsticks! I preferred the chicken and gnocchi soup over the zuppa toscana, but both were still yummy. It was busy when my family came in, but the service here was great! The women at the front greeted us kindly and our waiter encouraged us to get more and take advantage of the never-ending food here. I forgot his name, but he had some great recommendations. I only wish he had come around our table more often when we wanted water refills or breadsticks, but we came in at a busy time so the slower service was understandable. First off we tried to add our name to the wait list and was told that there was no wait we also checked the app and it said the same thing so we literally walked into the restaurant like 5 minutes later and the place was full but the app and restaurant still said no wait. We had to add our name to the wait list of 6 groups ahead of our group of 2 waited about 30 minutes before we were seated. We sat for about 7 minutes before they took our order which was not bad. We do not get out to Tracy often. Yesterday, we met our granddaughter there who lives in Lathrop. Nothing special, just lunch. This Olive Garden location is large and clean and quite welcoming. But our server, Victoria, was one of the best we have ever had. She was just good at her job. Patient, knowledgeable and just took good care of us. Food came quickly, order correct and very good as usual. Why we like this chain. But she checked on us often, always pleasant, we just appreciated her professionalism. Olive garden never disappoints me with the taste, service and freshness in their soup and salad. Its been a while that I have had their unlimited soup and salad. As always the chicken gnocchi soup deserves 5/5, it is served hot with the cheese. We also ordered the Shrimp appetizer with fried onion and peppers it is really good and the portion is huge for appetizer. Salad was fresh with right dressing. Getting the soup refilled in a new bowl unlimited times is always the best part going to the Olive garden. We also ordered a Alfredo pasta with crispy chicken, the chicken tastes way better than the taste less grilled chicken. As always we walked out of the restaurant with packed left overs in the togo boxes and trust me I had lunch with the left overs next day and it still tasted fresh. Great ambiance and the restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly with refilling the soup multiple times. Lastly the Andes mint candies completed my meal. read more
