Last time that we did manage to get thru the front door, they apologized for not servicing us for over an hour, "they sat you in the wrong section. I didn't know you were mine". Can't get a refill of "endless soup" before pushing my entree out. Definitely declined in quantity. read more

Great experience today dining for an early dinner. Large parking lot and plenty of spots are open. We were seated right away. Server was quick and very attentive and friendly. Helped our dining experience be a nice outing. Salad was good and we found that you should eat the breadsticks when they come out warm. Better tasting. There used to be many Olive Gardens in the area, this one in Warwick is one of the few in the Providence metro area. I went to get their weekday Lunch Special: Soup and Salad and Breadsticks (Mon-Fri 11-2:30PM) for $9.99. The salad was fresh and crisp, the minestrone soup was a bit salty for my taste, but the breadsticks were warm and delicious. There are some all you can eat buffets in the area for a bit more where you get protein, meats and rice, but once in a while it is just good to get some Soup and Salad...... We were driving hours back from vacation and it was late and I hadn't been in Olive Garden in a few years so we decided to try it again. The waitress was new but she was actually very good! The food was not great. The pasta fasoli was salty and very spicy and the breadsticks were stale obviously not fresh. The ravioli was microwaved or something not great. Then you have to pay on the stupid kiosk like Applebees and try to figure that out! The place was pretty empty but it was the 4 th of July. One of the absolute best experiences we have had out at an establishment. We were greeted promptly and politely by Alicia. Smiles and all. She waited on me and my sister and we felt so welcomed. Everything was on time and fast. Salad and soup was a great start to dinner. The shrimp scampi my sister received was delicious and hot. My salmon and broccoli with pasta and sausage was amazing. I even decided to change my meal at the last minute, and she made it happen effortlessly. We started with the salad and breadsticks because you can't visit Olive Garden without them! I ordered the never-ending pasta bowl but found myself unable to finish even one bowl! It was delightful, though I almost wished for a smaller portion so I could sample more of the various pasta combinations. Terrible service and just as bad management. We ordered drinks and meals as soon as our waitress came to our table. Took 15 minutes just to get waters. Our kids meals arrived before our drinks did! We had one meal arrive and the other was given to a different table. Then we proceeded to wait 20 minutes for our final meal to arrive. When asked for a hot chicken parm since it had been sitting and waiting to be eaten until everyone in our party had food we were told they would comp the chicken parm on the bill. Once we received the bill we were charged multiple times for the same meal and "comped" for one of them when in reality we were still paying for everything. The manager did not apologize and backed up the waitress for all of the mistakes. Overall a disaster. We ended up taking our meals to go since our two kids had been done eating for 20+ minutes by the time our two meals even arrived!!! Oh and by the way our waitress also gave us soup that was meant for a different table that she had brought out to them and stated "here do you want this since you ordered it? Had a wonderful dinner with me and my best friend. Calm and very nice ambiance. Food was delicious and came quickly. The drinks we had were very good. We had the green apple moscato and the sunset. I definitely recommend! Only downside would be our waiter was basically non existent so we had to ask for help from other servers a few times. And when we were ready to check out we waited for 20-25 minutes after dessert before we finally went and found a manager to check out. And we didn't receive a comp or anything form our poor service. Which really isn't problem just would have been nice. And the drinks didn't come to the table until after the food was served. And I asked the waiter when the desert came out we would like the birthday song to be sung (it was my friend's birthday) and we had to ask another waiter for the dessert menu and when it came out the song wasn't sung I had to ask for it and had to wait additional time so by the time we ate dessert it was cold. Took a friend for a birthday lunch. We were looking forward to soup, salad and breadsticks. I discretely told one of the wait staff that it was her birthday and asked if there was anything special that could be done. He gave me a choice of complimentary dessert and I confirmed. Service was very slow. Although being the only table occupied in our particular area, it took quite some time for our food to arrive. The soup and salad came out first. No breadsticks. We were finished with our first bowl of soup and salad by the time 3 lukewarm breadsticks in a small basket arrived. We each had a 2nd bowl of soup. My coworker's drink refill arrived 15min later after we had paid the bill. No birthday dessert, no waitstaff acknowledging the special day. To be fair, our waitperson did apologize for the slow service, advising he was handling both sides of the restaurant. If this was the case, maybe the manager could have stepped up and helped out the waitstaff. I on the other hand, had enough "gravy" growing up so needless to say, ordering is a problem for . I did order fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and did enjoy it. Salad and dressing were great. Disappointed with the overall service. The food was good and breadsticks were nice and hot. BUT....Our server kept disappearing. A different server brought out our appetizer --we had no plates for them and never got any, then someone else served the meals. We had to wait for grated cheese for some reason as that server came without it. Our original server forgot our dipping sauce for the bread sticks so we had to flag her down which took forever. We wanted a refill on drinks and breadsticks and had to ask someone else who then sent over our server. We wanted 2 more waters and one coke. She brought 3 waters. We never were offered more fresh dipping sauces for the breadsticks. We finally gave up. Check came without mints we paid on the table kiosk (which printed a blank receipt) and left. I had not been here in a long long time. I have never been a fan and we were in the area doing errands and thought we would try it again. I was very surprised that the menu, which had been about three pages long, was one piece of paper. I like that it was easy to order from and took less time. Mike got soup and I got chicken scampi over danger and pasta. Mine was low in calories for a pasta dish and it was delicious. I really enjoyed it. And of course the salad in the breadsticks were good as always. Mike also got a pasta and he enjoyed it as well. I work in the emergency department and I have to give props to good ole' Olive Garden. They delivered over 280 meals to our whole hospital. It has been mannnny years since I have eaten there, but I enjoyed the pasta fagioli and salad. Everything was well thought out and packed separately with each entree. I wasn't going to write this review. I have been contemplating it for a week. However, I wish someone would have told me what I'm about to say. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice hostess and a woman laying down at the entrance. The woman laying down would later turn out to be our server. Another girl brought us to a dirty table (literally dirty plates and all) and told us to sit down. When I mentioned that the table was dirty, she rolled her eyes and pointed to another table for us to sit there. Our server came over and took our order. We ordered one of the more expensive bottles of wine. I got the soup and salad, my husband got the chicken parm. The bottle of wine she brought over to the table was already open. When we questioned why it was open, she assured us she had just opened it and the bottle was full. It wasn't, but okay. Our food came relatively quickly, and my soup and salad were delicious. I got the chicken gnocchi soup, and there was only one gnocchi in the bowl. It was a let down, but not worth complaining over. My husband's meal was inedible to me. The sauce had the worst flavor and the pasta was very over cooked. He ended up not touching the pasta, scraping the sauce off and just eating the chicken plain. At this point, we didn't complain, we just paid our bill and left. My husband was clearly still hungry, so we walked over to Smokey Bones and split some delicious wings. I just figured we'd never mention Olive Garden again. Here is the worst part. I paid for dinner, using a credit card that normally doesn't get used. I had not used the credit card in weeks, and I didn't use it at Smokey Bones. It's an Apple Card, so I get a notification every time it gets used. A couple hours later someone is using my card number and making a lot of purchases. By midnight my card was maxed out. I was able to have my card locked and get a new one sent. However, whoever stole my information is still trying to use my card. It's obviously getting declined now, but still? The next day I call Olive Garden to let them know what happened. I spoke to a manager who told me it was impossible and I must be mistaken. I'm not. (This isn't even the first time it's happened at Olive Garden, google it.) Then, I told her about the entire experience that I have just written out. She responded with, "Is that all?" in a very condescending tone. I was told I'd get a call back and never did. Just went to Olive Garden . Always go To the north Attleboro one but since COVID only staying in RI. We put in our drink and app order in at the same time with our waitress. Waitress didn't know the price of beer . She comes back with our drinks and asks if we like to place our order for our meal . We then receive our food and not our app. When she finally comes back . My husband asks her and she says "oh I don't know if I put it in " and goes away. We finish our meal and she comes out with the app and charges us . I then pay with a gift card and she says "oh you can leave a tip with the rest of you want ". I of course still leave a tip but wtf ! Worst service I've ever experienced . This is the place the kids I was babysitting wanted to go - and what my niece and nephew want is what they get, so off to Olive Garden we go! Got there on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm and it was BUSY! We had about a 15 mins wait. Once we got seated, our waitress was extremely friendly and personable - two thumbs up! I had salad and the kids had soup for apps. Salad isn't a caprese salad but I guess if it's complimentary, I can't really complain, huh? The kids seem to enjoy their soups, so I can't complain about that. The breadsticks were buttery and good so I snuck one in =). I ordered the Citrus Chicken Sorrento, the kids had Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo and Chicken Parm. They enjoyed their meals - so again can't complain but my meal, hmm....I prob wouldn't order it again. The veggies were cooked a bit too soft and were not crisp anymore. The chicken was cooked well but I didn't care for the citrusy honey glaze - it seemed way too overwhelming for my taste. I've been going to Olive Garden in Warwick, RI for years and boy has it gone down hill. Here's my story: I phone in an order to be picked up. All went well until the person I was speaking with asked me: "Would you like to add a tip?" I said "NO" and she immediately hung up. She must have felt it was ok to do so what does that say about the management. I called back and asked for a manager and Sarah answered. She said that it was awful and she would correct the problem. Also that I should ask for her when I arrive. I arrived around 7:30 pm and called, explaining that Sarah said I should ask for her as she wanted to personally bring out the order. About 50 minutes go by and no food. I call, speak to Sarah and she said she had been waiting by the front door with my order for over 20-30 minutes. She then brings me out the order. I get home and the food is room temp and dried out. I write a letter to corporate and receive this email: Dear Jim, Thank you for your email. We are concerned about your experience regarding our Warwick restaurant and appreciate your letting us know about it. Used to love coming to Olive Garden now I don't think I'll be coming back. We got sick a few months back and ended up getting a $40 gift card comped so we decided to go back for dinner a few months later. We once again got sick off the food. 3 hours after being home our stomachs were in knots and were no better this morning. Our server was nice but was careless. Started feeling sick again last night about 3-4 hours after we got home. Woke up this morning sick as a dog. The service was mediocre at best. Dirty plates stayed on the table almost the entire time. Waited over an hour for our 2 dishes. Needless to say I'm all set with Olive Garden as a whole. If imma waste money on food that's gonna make me sick might as well save some money and get fast food.
