BEST MARTINI'S EVER I hate to admit it... but I'm a martini snob... It's hard to get the classic martini down right. Often times it's too dry, they skip out entirely on the vermouth, or it's not salty enough, or cold enough. -Olive or twist made me the best martini I've ever had. It was light and flavorful. Perfectly chipped ice (I like my martini shaken not stirred) and perfect amount of dryness and olive juice. -The service was 100/10. Not once did I look around to get help. They were so on top of asking us (but not too frequently) if we needed anything. The waiter and I think manager? Owner? Came by the table to check on us and make polite conversation. Waiter was very knowledgeable and provided lovely recommendations I actually liked! -cheese and bread were just enough in terms of portion. I didn't leave any behind but I also didn't feel it wasn't enough. Just the right amount! Although I wish the bread was a bit fresher. 8/10 -classic martini 10/10 -fruity martini (elderberry? I forget, some kind of berry) 10/10 100/10 look forward to coming back when I visit Portland again!

Fantastic cocktail with a great atmosphere and passionate bartender!

Just a fantastic cocktail. The vesper is my new favorite! The bartender was extremely knowledgeable as well! Highly recommend

This is a wonderful Martini bar in the Pearl District that also serves mixed cocktails, sparkling wines, wine and limited beer along with a nice but short rotating food menu. We have been in several times, but I haven't taken the time to sit down and write a review. My review below is a combination of the experiences we have had over the last two years. First, neither my husband or I are big "bar fans" but because we can also enjoy the food menu which serves appetizers, entrees, salads and desserts until late; almost to close, it's a great choice for a later evening drop in; they are open until midnight. This is a huge plus since I am originally from a much bigger city and I feel like the streets roll up early here in Portland. :-) Last night we stopped by and met up with friends who had a relative in town around 10 pm. There were six of us and we sat down and relaxed, laughed and had a great time. The bar wasn't too busy, although we heard from the bartender that if we had come in earlier in the evening it was standing room only. I liked it being relatively empty, although I am sure that is not the desired outcome of the bar. I ordered the Blood Orange Kamazi; vodka, orange liquer, line juice, and blood orange juice. The atmosphere of this bar is warm, chill and relaxed. It almost gives you a smooth jazz kind of feel if that can describe the experience without the music. The seatting is comfortable, the staff is attentive and the drinks and food are tasty. Looking forward to my next visit.

One of the smoothest places to hangout in downtown. The staff is very cool and relaxed. We stopped in for a cocktail and dinner after the symphony. Of course, it's a bar more than a restaurant however with the limited menu the choices are sufficient for a late night meal. We ordered the salmon and salad. Great choices because both were super! If you're looking for a nice, relaxing, quiet, mood place...Go check out Olive & Twist.

    An amazing Old Fashioned!

Stopped by Olive or Twist as I needed a big drink and they did not disappoint. A perfect Extra Dry Grey Goose Martini, shaken not stirred, with ice crystals. Beautifully done! As well as a night cap of an amazing Old Fashioned!! Good clean bar. Excellent service! Amazing adult beverages!

You want a martini? You want a martini? You want a martini? Everybody gets a martini! Classic to neo-classic to out there - they got it. Very good martinis, indoors or outdoors, and with engaging, attentive waitstaff. And for the nin martini drinkers, their "standard" drinks br #StrongLikeBull . IYKYK.

Nice neighborhood cocktail bar in Pearl. Inside, they have many seating and have enough distance from the the table. Simple interior and noise level is perfect. Drinks are very delicious, I needed strong will to not to order my third drink. They use all fresh ingredients, naturally drinks are so yummy. They also have outside seating and it must be nice to stay outside when it's nice and warm. They have many cocktails on the mine and they are all enticing. I will try more next time I'm there.

No private parking but plenty of street parking. The inside is very clean and sleek. There were plenty of seats and the seats were very comfortable. There is also an outside patio that is pretty nice. The staff is great. They consistently checked up on us. The drinks are quite tasty. I will be returning. I do not think that this place is open on Mondays and they open at 4pm for all the other days.

Great neighborhood feel, the owner is so sociable, makes you feel welcome. One of few places in the area with a great European outside area.

The front patio was a nice place to enjoy golden hour and our service was exceptional. My dad got a brandy alexander, mom got a piña colada on the rocks and later a pink lady, and I got something like a Negroni (they make Negronis but I asked the server to choose something interesting and the result was absolutely splendid). Cheers to the professionals who helped make our visit even more special.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

It was a very pretty pink and green layered drink topped with edible flowers - beautifully crafted and pretty easy on the palate like a slightly spiked latte! In contrast, the Pandan Express was very boozy and complex with slightly sweet/nutty profile - if you like whiskey-based cocktails, definitely get that. The food menu is limited but has a nice balance of small to large plates. We got the Wok'd rice and Chow wow noodles - the rice had a deliciously charred taste, and the chow wow noodles were thick and chewy, but they were just a little too salty. The ambiance here is dark, moody and romantic. Highly recommend sitting at the bar vs the tables because all three bartenders we interacted with were very friendly and fun!

Super crispy, well seasoned, and nice big pieces. Soooo good. The silk dumplings had a good amount of meat and a strong ginger flavor, but I thought they could've used a little more seasoning and had a bit too much wrapper. It seems like they made these pretty fresh, as my friend noticed it tasted different than their last visit. The chow wow noodles were super bouncy with the perfect slight kick of spice. I wish they had a little more smokiness, and the meat was slightly chewy, but still really flavorful. For drinks, I tried the Senate Sour and my friend had the Whiskey Sour. Both were smooth, well balanced, and not overly sweet. Definitely save room for the ice cream! The fried dough was incredibly light and crisp with creamy ice cream, whipped cream, and a tart strawberry sauce with chocolate drizzle. It basically reminded me of a deep-fried uncrustable with ice cream in the best way. I'll be back to try other menu items

We got back in to town right at the peak of the parade and lights celebration Saturday. To say it was chaotic would be an understatement. So during the first go around we couldn't get to where we needed to be and went instead on a one mile circle which then led is to an area where the guy blocking the road was nice enough to let us through after we told him my hotel was where he was. What a blessing that was indeed because we found a parking spot right across from my hotel. My friend had an hour to kill before she could check in to her hotel since the road was still closed on that side. We lucked out finding two seats right at the bar as soon as you walk in. It was first come first serve and they were busy. Lots of people were trickling in from the festivities to have a drink or two. I got the cucumber cocktail. It was so good I made my friend have a sip. As what usually happens, we ended up making friends with the two ladies next to us who were parade participants representing mardi gras.
