Been here twice and was not disappointed! Great vibes! We had a reservation so we were seated promptly even without having the 4 people all at once. Order was supposed to be placed at the bar which was a little inconvenient. In drinks we got the Dew Process which was sweet but nice, United States of Baijiu and Green Machine were great. Mandarin wings were amazing as always, tofu was greasy but great, honey shrimp was awesome! The silk dumplings were not so great since they were too doughy and I could barely taste the wagyu beef in it. All in all a fun experience!

When I think of bar food I tend to have low expectations and dannnnng this place knocked my socks off! We had the prawns, noodles, dumplings, as well as the egg rolls and they were all very good. Being Asian myself I'm very picky about Asian cuisine- and I was skeptical of this place but it was exceptional. The bartenders were super kind and sweet too. The ambiance around 6-8pm on a Friday night was just very chill vibes. Would definitely come again

Looking for a late night spot with a date after a show or event? This is pretty solid! Dark, bougie, lounge vibes with some pretty good Chinese food! I couldn't see it very well, but it was delicious! We got a table, but you order at the bar...so maybe sit at the bar. Dumplings and their sauce were the star! Highly recommended! General Tso Chicken pretty good! Portions small with higher price, which matches the spot. I would come again!

Nice ambience and drinks. Reminds me of a couple of speakeasies in Vancouver Canada. Trendy, modern and classy. The decor hints being in a train. Street parking. They serve Chinese food that's pretty good. This is a sister bar to Lulu's. The tall burnet female receptionist needs better training to be more accommodating and friendly. We ordered a lot of food and were weary we could not finish before our reservation time. We sat in a larger booth so we had to leave when the next party of 4/5 showed up. There were other empty seats, although reserved for much later. The receptionist could have moved us to the reserved seats because those reservations were scheduled for much later.

Great vibe, food, and drinks. Would recommend and return. I ordered the New Years Special drink and salad - both were good but probably my least favorite. I saw everyone ordering the pandan drink - will have to get that next time. My table loved the egg rolls the most as well as the noodles. I enjoyed the dumplings too. Got there early right before rush without a reservation and was able to walk in. Interesting that you have to order and pay at the bar, was kind of awkward reaching over people who are talking and eating and order over them. Wish there was a section on the bar to stand and order at least so I'm not yelling over someone's head.

Awesome night out or end of the evening atmosphere! Yummy Chinese-influenced bites with good options for GF/DF eaters like myself. The cocktails range from classic with a tropical or herbal flair to straight-up tropical and are absolutely delish. The feel is relaxed with the perfect touch of upscale-romantic 1920s-1970s jazz club glam. The music speaks to my soul; it is predominantly a fantastic mix of 30's-70's R&B, soul, blues, and jazz, with a little more modern mixed here and there. The service is expeditious and attentive without being obtrusive. The drink I'm enjoying in the photo I've included is the Sesame Street Colada. It's got a smooth but light creaminess, while still being refreshing with a little zing from the citrus and the perfect hint of sweetness. I highly recommend it. 2026 #3

Went for the drinks, stayed for the respiratory ailments. Bartenders were great! Drinks were wonderful. Ambiance was mostly delightful except.... This air vent directly over their bar seems to have not been cleaned in at least five months (as far as I can tell from pictures in older reviews here and on Google Maps).

Interior is stunning. I've sat at the bar each time I went and service was always attentive and pleasant. The waygu dumplings are sooo good and the eggrolls taste just like my grandmas! I didn't love the drinks but that won't stop my from coming back and trying new ones. Highly recommend. Plenty of parking around! Update: I came here on New Years Eve and decided to give drinks another chance and OMG the Dew Process is a must have, just exquisite!

We just walked in to this place on a weekend since we couldn't find any reservations online. We just got lucky and found a table for us. I have heard a lot about this place and was excited to finally try. The ambiance is very chill, chic, modern and perfect for a weekend night. It stays open late, the staff are amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and drinks were spot on. We tried sesame street colada, reposado recession, and milky way. All the drinks were amazing. In food, we tried the general tso chicken and silk dumplings. The food was delicious. Absolutely loved the place and would definitely be visiting again.

What a great fine. This restaurant is a vibe-y asian inspired low-lit bar with high ceilings that plays bedroom style music and is perfect for a date night (assuming you like the person you're on the date with) or a small group for drinks. The comfortable plush chairs and booths (even the bar stools are comfy) offer a such a r ambiance that if you feel like having a good cocktail and dish solo, you can do it without fear anyone will come and hit on you. Basically, it's an extroverted-leaning introvert's dream bar. The food is delightfully flavorful play on Chinese American fare. Some of the best dishes include the handmade dumplings filled with wagyu beef, the cucumber salad and my absolute favorite, the wok's fried rice. Did I mention all wheat/gluten free!! The service was excellent, the bartenders are sociable and talk cocktail-speak fluently--and they're also willing to put together something novel with unique ingredients like lemongrass sassafras-infused sherry, macadamia nut orgeat syrup, shiitake-infused vermouth, and lemongrass coconut milk syrup. My friend and I enjoyed the Oolong Old Fashioned and Taipei Milky Way, both were fantastic!! Highly recommend this spot, I will definitely revisit next time I am in PDX!!

What an awesome spot! The interior and vibe were impeccable, perfect for an intimate and cozy but elegant hangout. Their drinks were well-crafted using unique ingredients. We really enjoyed the Sesame Street Colada and the Pandan Express! Food was also tasty. The Egg Roll was a 10/10 while the Wings were flavorful but a tad soggy in the sauce. Definitely on the pricier end but still a great place to be and I'd for sure be back!

Great atmosphere and food. The Maduro Problems is sweet and tangy and a great sakè base cocktail.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

We came to Teardrop Cocktail Lounge while visiting Portland and were genuinely impressed…read more The cocktails were excellent -- thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
