I've a huge fan of this sorta food..and was one of the first customers when they opened..and I'd just like to take some time to adress the manager/owner Mike on here... I just want to say I walked in today and I just want to say the place smells like straight trash juice... tabbouleh was like encrusted to the sides of container like it's been out all week... The only one Grape leaves they had out looked putrid.. Like it's been out since last week as well Also no desserts in cold refrigerator The only dessert they had was left out and looked super dry and still trying to sale them and hardly anything in stock Along with wilted lettuce for sandwiches I've come to you and specifically order a chicken shawarma sandwich with hummus The guy who is working is sooooo rude and unwilling to help with order ... Told me he can't make a sandwich with hummus I told him if paying for the hummus was an issue...that I would pay 4$ for hummus if needed..but just refused to take care of the customer...this was before I asked him what he was doing because he grabbed a Togo box ...and proceeded to to put hummus in a box and then act like I didn't order it on a sandwich And this isn't the first time Last time he got mad because I asked for my sandwich in pita bread not tortilla bread..lol (that would make it a burrito) And acted like I was asking too much.. When all I want is a sandwich I order made correctly... I just gonna leave this here I would not recommend this place to anyone... You want good place go to Dimassi's on nasa blvd.. But do not go here unless you want to spend a lot of money on food poisioning And a hint of stank from there place up your nose for a good 30mins You'd definitely remeber this place but not for anything positive Please Mike hire new people Who know what they are doing And who care about the buisnes. I was craving mediterranean food here in the Baytown area and someone said to look on yelp so I did and I ordered from this place. I called to place my order and said it was my first time. We were a little intimidated by the reviews, but this place delivered. We both got the #1 Chicken Shawarma plate and were very happy. It was traditionally made, with chicken thighs, and did not feel greasy at all. Very tender meat and mildly spiced. The hummus was mild as well, and you could tell it was homemade. Super creamy and light. The rice was cooked perfectly. The salad was small, but fresh. The yogurt sauce was flavorful, and was intended for the salad but could be mixed with the chicken if you need more flavor. My husband got the spicy mango yogurt and liked his, too. The whole meal felt very healthy. This a super casual, quiet and calm place to eat which we appreciated. Highly recommend it! read more

Had to close on a house at the nearby title company and I saw this place. I figured I'd drop in and grab a Chicken Shawarma and Gyro just to see how they were. Surprisingly both were delicious. I say surprisingly because you don't know what your getting when you stop into a new place that's in a strip mall. Good service and very quiet and empty when I take an order for carry out, I'm a fan of their Gryo sandwhiches and the hummus is on point. First visit was lunch with a coworker, it was good so I suggested it a few days later for dinner to my husband. Good customer service but the food here is inconsistent and overpriced. The baklava was not fresh and our food tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. I witnessed them using unsafe food measures and asked them to change gloves. The food was 5 stars! I used to live in Houston and this reminded me of when I would eat at different mediterranean places out there. You get what you pay for, meaning the servings are way more then enough for one person you get so much food! I just had to take off one star because there is like no air conditioning in there it was very humid, but that is a simple fix. I'm so glad there is a mediterranean place in Baytown now! I was in the area for work & this place was recommend..... let me say- As a black woman from the south who has only eaten Medi food a hand full of times, this was so delicious! I had the chicken shawarma plate. Excellent- chicken was seasoned well, rice was cooked perfect. The white yogurt sauce is some of the best Ive tasted. Now- the Spicy Hummus!!! That was very refreshing with the right amount of spice & pita chips complimented it well. Tabouli was excellent as well. the whole lunch was fresh & fufilling. Not heavy like most american food... so I really enjoyed it. I thought the previous reviews sounded like paid review But no- this place is legit. Cute fairly clean spot. The lady taking orders and delivering the food was nice. The Kibbeh was good. At first I thought they were bland, but got more into the middle and tried with the sauce, and wow it was flavorful. Also had delicious flavors and spices that I'm not familiar with. The fried cheese (halloumi) was good. The gyro uses real lamb and beef. It was good. My favorite dish was the Fatteh-Chicken Shawarma. I only wish the dish had been served warm. Sent it back and they did warm it up and it was great then. Also wish the hummus was room temp to enjoy the flavors more than the cold hummus. Otherwise, highly recommend. It seems more authentic than some places I've been and as such it is a little of an acquired taste at first since it is a little different. Go try it. Your taste buds will thank you. read more

Lets start, I order two gyros with fries and two chicken shawarmas. This all came to a total of 40 bucks. The shawarma were small, but good. I really had my mouth set for a damn gyro wrap...Nope, just gyro meat, rice, salad, and humus...maybe they just make them different in other states, but i will not be returning again. read more

Update: After having several good meals and overall pleasant experiences here I was surprised to have been grossly overcharged at lunch a few days ago. The lamb shank and two sides are listed as $12.99 on the menu - I was charged $19.99 for the lamb shank and full price ($4.15 and $6.23) for each of the two sides - baba ghanouj and a simple green salad. Then, there was a "transaction fee" of $1.21 and taxes. The bill for lunch and tip came to $39.20. Shame on me for not paying more attention when checking out. When I got home I reviewed the emailed receipt and called the restaurant. I was told the owner would return my call but he didn't. The next day I actually went back and showed the young man at the counter and he tried to tell me that I had ordered something different, but I had a picture of my order on my phone. Again, I was asked for my number and was told to expect a call, but none came. It's a shame to see this happen here - I certainly did not expect it - but they are officially OFF of my list. read more

I was a little worried when I got there as there was no one eating. One other guy was there that might have been a customer or maybe friends with the staff. I ordered the Lamb Shank and it was delicious. Came with 2 sides of different rice dish's which made it too much for me to finish. But it was all great. Shawarma Town brings a much needed Mediterranean restaurant to Baytown. In an area that is overtook by chain restaurants and BBQ joints, Shawarma Town is a breath of fresh air. I stopped by there on my lunch break the other day, and ordered their gyro platter. It was cut up pieces of lamb, with rice and a side. The food was definitely fresh and it tasted pretty good. It looks like it's a family run operation, and Mike and Co are very welcoming and accommodating. I wouldn't say it's the best gyro platter I've ever had, but a good meal and I'll definitely be returning. read more

We heard about this new place while visiting and decided to try it. It was really good overall with a relatively simple menu. We tried the hummus and stuffed grape leaves appetizer. We then had the gyro and chicken shawarma sandwiches. All four things were excellent. I loved that they cut the meat off if the meat wheels there where you could see it. Staff should be better trained at least with consistency of orders. Best part was the baklava which was not worth the 4$ for the tiny triangle. Looks like They ran out of pita bread, so they decide to put put my chicken gyro in a flour tortilla! Desert was old and hard. Restaurant looks dirty inside.
