I'm not a raw oyster fan so I didn't have any, but the spouse and our friend enjoyed them. 42 oz. Wagyu Tomahawk - $175.00 Medium rare, moist yet firm, simply seasoned with a great grilled flavor. I've never had fresh truffles at a Maui eatery before. Wagyu Bolognese - $52.00 On recommendation by our server, extra sauce came to the side as it's not a very saucy dish. The portion size was very generous, so don't fret on the price for a pasta selection. I did appreciate the handmade rigatoni's freshness and texture. I've never experienced ground Wagyu before and I loved it. Definitely ask for grated cheese as it'll be the crowning jewel. WOW! What a disappointment! We had reservations tonight at 7:30 , dinner for two. The host asked if we would like to wait at bar til our table was ready, she mentioned the party was taking a very long time at their table. We said that would be fine. When our table was ready , approx 15 min wait . The hostess came up to us and said " They finally left , they took so long at their table but your table is over there" She pointed yo the table then walked away, she didn't walk us to the table just pointed at it. We thought that was different but we walked ourselves to our table and sat down. The waitress came, took our list of allergies and did a great job getting all the important information to us regarding what I could eat and how they could modify the meal. She was really a seasoned waitress and was extremely accommodating with us. We placed our order , our meal took awhile to get to us. I ordered 58.00 plate of Salmon with broccoli and small potatoes they substituted out for the Polenta. The meal was shockingly small the Salmon was half the size of a McDonald's fish fillet. We could not believe how the plate looked, I figured it must taste great . The fish was saturated in an oil , so heavy with no flavor whatsoever. When I waitress came by and politely asked how was everything, we did ask her about the Salmon and she said she had not seen a piece so incredibly small. She said she would talk to the back and see if she could have them make a normal size . By this time it was 9 pm , I was pretty frustrated, my husband had already eaten his meal . I did ask to speak to the manager about how disappointing the meal was and length of time it took. The waitress did take the meal off our ticket, since we had waited so long and she could tell we were very patient throughout the process. As far as our waitress goes she was great ! We stayed at the Grand Wailea again this year. We were excited and a bit saddened to see that our old restaurant was reinvented at first. This place did not disappoint. It has a beautiful view and a romantic atmosphere. The staff is amazing and welcoming. The food is all fantastic. The burrata caprese was very good. The black truffle pasta was delicious. The fresh made pasta was executed very well. They give you a healthy serving of truffle which I enjoyed. Probably the worst meal I've had in a LONG time , worse than macaroni grill . The Italian salad was completely wilted , the fish I ordered looked like it was on a bed of tomato soup vegetables and the olive cake was dryer than 2 week old wonder bread , crumbled apart like feta cheese . This place needs a major upgrade- the price people pay to stay and eat here the food should at least be edible. & the service didn't make up for it either . The Olive Garden at the Dayton Mall (Dayton Ohio) has far superior chicken Piccata and bread. This was as if the chef designed a menu and left the country and let children into the kitchen who had no idea what to do. I had giant uncut lumps of mushrooms that did not belong in the flavor profile, a huge chunk of what looked like KFC on top of a weakly flavored lemon sauce and a pile of unseasoned and undressed arugula as a salad. It was a disaster. It literally tasted disgusting. The hostess had the WORST attitude (June 21 2025, 6pm service) acted like she could barely stand the sight of us and put us at a table where the sun was blasting us in the face despite the entire other half the restaurant was in cool shade- and the place was empty on a Saturday night so that should be enough to convince you that you'd be better off going literally anyplace else. We decided to opt for take out but for dinner they do require reservations. I did find that there were alot of openings while we were staying in the area so it was not an issue. The food is definitely on the pricey side but I think that's reasonable considering they are located in a resort. We got the black truffle pasta which was good but lacked flavor. The noodles were on the chewier side which I liked but the dish was missing something. The charred broccolini was nice to have on the side as a veggie dish. And the lobster pizza was very yummy, lots of garlic and pieces of lobster. The flavor matched very well and I would order this again. My daughter and I went here for lunch. She she's getting married next week and we have done a day at the spa. We are local residence. We were sat at the table and we were served water promptly but then after that, nothing no server no hello nothing we sat there for over 20 minutes with no acknowledgment for anybody finally, I just got up and left. I approached a server on our way out to let her know that we had not been acknowledged in over 20 minutes and we were leaving. She said OK she'll let the host us know that our table is now available. No apology for the horrible service for being ignored now that I've read the reviews. I see that this is their standard service. They don't really seem to care about their customers. I wish I could tell you how the food was, but I never got a chance to eat there. In my opinion I would avoid this restaurant at all cost. We were then told we could have a table in the middle with no view and squished in between other tables or wait a half hour. We waited for a nicer table with a water view. When we spoke with the hostess she asked about allergies and said it would get passed on to our server. Our server hadn't even looked at this info obviously as she came up and started offering us the seafood specials (we are vegan and vegetarian). We let her know about this and she proceeded to offer me fish courses because they would be gluten free. We had several exchanges where it was very clear she did not understand what vegan and vegetarian meant. I ended up with a modified salad and a soda (which cost $7 and no refill was offered at all so I am not sure if those are allowed). The salad tasted like they grabbed a bag of lettuce from any store and a basic Italian style dressing. It was comically basic and uninteresting. My husband got some toasted ravioli which he said were fine but really nothing special, and had the bread from my salad which he said was the worst bread he had ever had in his life. It took over 10 minutes to get our soda, and we were waiting constantly for any service. The staff was nice and the place was clean, it had a great view and ambiance. But if you're not interested in seafood or steak that is excessively over priced, this isn't the place for you. read more

We all loved the location and new look of this Italian restaurant. Lauren, was a great server and was attentive to our culinary needs. The wine selection is good although some pricing is steep. The entrees were all OK but not the best dishes we have had out. We had the steak and it was undercooked and flavorless. My friend had the chicken picatta. My husband and I shared the fresh burrata caprese salad that we enjoyed. The best part of our meal was the fresh homemade pasta (Sale Pepe's recipe)which I ordered as a side dish. We had a late dinner reservation, and I was starving, so I expected to enjoy anything--but the clam linguine was honestly one of the worst I've had. It had an odd taste, and even my husband, who loves seafood, couldn't get through it. A few hours later, I ended up with serious stomach issues. The pizza that i got had a little too much fennel or oregano (idk what it was) but it was still really good. The pepperoni pizza was good too. I my family ordered some other things, like the mahi mahi catch of the day and the linguine pasta was very good too. The waiters made sure that we were eating good. The only thing was we heard very loud crying from little kids. But it didnt really matter. The place was really quiet thanks to the nice water and beach around us. I was very disappointed with the food, the bill was over $150 and I felt it would have been fair to pay $40. We did not do pizzas but apps and entrees. We got crab dip and prawns. The prawns were the best item we got. The crab dip was small, oily, and came with like 2 pieces of bread. Really? I got the Wagyu Bolognese and my mother, who this was her retirement gift after 33 yrs at the Cleveland Clinic, got the cacio e pepe. Her dish was flavorless and the upside was the pepper taste. Mine was cafeteria grade noodles. It had no taste and a small serving size. Service was slow, making things worse. It took forever to order. Olivine is a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views. It's hard to beat when you have sun setting during dinner, so try your best to get a seat around 6pm! We went to Olivine on a whim because this was our only option at the time. We had a big family of 7 adults and 4 kids. I will say that the ambiance is geared towards fancy couples rather than family, but it was still a really nice experience. The food was amazing as well. I think there were a handful of items that were fantastic, including the oh-so-tender short ribs and my flavorful seafood pasta.
