All I can see is OMG.....this restaurant is very authentic and the food is fantastic. If you follow my posts, you know I travel with my son alot and he's a vegetarian, and quite frankly, a pain in the @ss. I know we're in Savannah GA and it seems odd we're dining at a Greek restaurant, but there was something we both liked. The food was excellent. My son a falafel pita wrap and he said its the best one he's ever had. I had a gyro platter which was excellent and HUGE. We had a spanikopita appetizer which was delicious as well. Good choice, son

Loved the fits but overpriced. Although, I did enjoy the separation of the Cafe. It seemed as though you could hip from the first pidgin for coffee, next to the restaurant for a sit down meal, and lastly for yogurt or Gelato. Very friendly staff, family oriented, and great Greek a

Went for a quick dinner, a local from the area recommended this place for an easy gyro because everything on the river will be tourist prices. Fries were hot, all the food was fresh and the food was good. There's plenty of seating inside in the cafe part so we ordered & sat down at the tables- I have no complaints. Looking for food that's good & quick? go here!

We've been here twice, once as a to go order and the latest for sit down dinner. We will be coming back for any and all celebrations. Food: 10/10 amazing tasting everything. We had a party of 4 and ordered Lamb, stuffed fish, steak, Greek lasagna, and Calamari. Everything was so delicious. It took some time to get to our table but the flavor was well worth the wait. Great portion sizes too. Service: Erin was our server and absolutely amazing. She made our experience worth all 5 stars. She knew about the meals as well as wine and drinks to pair. She made sure we had what we needed without pestering us every 5 minutes. We felt like we could really sit down and enjoy ourselves. She even sent us home with baklava as a welcome to Savannah as we just moved here. Ambiance: very warm relaxing feeling, like you were meeting up on a summer evening with close friends and family. The music was a wonderful addition and even the occasional "OPA!" Was a positive to the air of the restaurant. Other guests were welcoming and suggested some great food we will try next time. You should definitely try this. We came later in the evening so it wasn't too busy, it can be packed during the day, for a good reason!

This was my second time here like 2-3 years later. We came back because we had a positive experience on our first visit. This second time around wasn't as great. The appetizers were tiny, the food took over an hour to come out, service was pretty slow... it was a mediocre experience and we'll likely not return at this point. The food was alright (calamari platter at least) but nothing crazy either and the prices have increased a lot while the portions have decreased more.

Stayed at the Hyatt on River Street and in search of local eats. We decided to pop in to Olympia Cafe since we had a stroller with a baby and luckily they were able to get us a table in the corner. This was baby's first time at the restaurant. We ordered calamari, souvlaki, gyro (yeero), and fish and chips. We asked for some mixed veggies for baby and received bell peppers, onions and zucchini. So don't get your hopes up for kid friendly peas and carrots. The plates were good, plentiful. I enjoyed the fresh bread for the table and also the calarmari was perfect. Lightly breaded and paired with a cool dipping sauce. Every so often a server would come by and make a fire with a table appetizer and it lit up a big flame. The ambiance feels authentic, very intimate. A family next to us had about four kids which I can tell annoyed some of the patrons. However it was great to see a family having a meal with all the wildness that comes with it. Overall it was a good experience and would recommend trying if you are on River Street and looking for romantic dinner.

I with I took more pictures of the food, because the other options were delicious. The Kalamari was fried perfectly, and thrilling sauce was so good. The falafel was okay, the seasoning was a bit too over powering. Chicken kebab was DELISH, and the shrimp Aegan was probably the best thing. I love that there are three places to get things here. I've only done the walk in, grab a quick bite side, and I honestly think that's the best way. When you walk in, it doesn't look the best, but this is some of the most reasonably priced food on river street, and actually tastes good and is authentic to its region. The drink options are good, too! I got a mudslide and was surprised but hot yummy it was. Service was amazing. The gentlemen taking orders and cooking were so helpful with all of our questions. This is a VERYYY casual place. Don't like how it looks deter you from a great meal!

I'd give Olympia Cafe 6 stars if I could. It's that good. It's far superior to any of the Greek restaurants in Tarpon Springs, FL, which has a huge Greek population and lots of Greek restaurants. The food was incredible, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was just perfect. The owner is delightful. He came to the table a couple of times to ensure we were happy with our dinners and even sent a red roasted pepper appetizer to the table, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a great dining experience, and I highly recommend it.

Really good classic Greek diner in the River front area in Savannah. We stopped in after poking around in all of the shops and ate a quick dinner. The food was really good and totally hit the spot. The menu featured all of the staples, souvlaki and such. We randomly got seated at the best table in the house, by the front window overlooking the street :) Staff was nice and it's a family owned place.

Then we ordered a shepard salad. They didn't have to do this, but it was very nice, they split it in to two for us. The salad was really good, it was chopped and loaded with flavor. I thought my wife was getting a gyro, at the last second she went with a falafel pita instead. It tasted good but she said the texture was bit funky. Awsome fries! Me, I had lamb chops, it was served with asparagus and rice. First the rice , a normal sized portion, and it tasted good. The asparagus, cooked perfect, also incredible good. Finally the lamb chops, OMG, cooked perfect, tasted great. Loved the lamb chops! We finished it off with some baklava. The whipped cream on it was different, but it was good. I love Mediterranean food, no matter where from, and know that every type is just a little different. We started with a shepherd's salad and server, without asking, had it split in the kitchen. So nice and thoughtful. The salad had great flavor and my husband and I loved it. We would have both preferred slab feta or even crumbled feta instead of shredded feta. Personal preference but we still loved it and we could taste the feta, so it wasn't a deal breaker. My husband has the lamb. He loved it. It wasn't a plate full of rice, which he also appreciated. The pricing was reasonable and the lamb was cooked perfect. I had the Falafal sandwich. I would have preferred tahini vs tzatziki but it was tasty. The Falafal was a little mushy for my palate but still good. They came with steak fries - my favorite kind of fry! We ended with the baklava. Every baklava we have ever had is different and we LOVED it. I was so full and was only going to have 1 bite, but that wasn't my story. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and helpful. She asked where we were from and recommended a few restaurants in South Florida for us to try. The restaurant can be fancy or casual - your choice. They made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed our meals. We would definitely go back next visit to Savannah - and there will be many more trips if our daughter ends up going to SCAD.

The portion compared to the cost was the size of a children's portion. The Greek salad was not more than a spoon full along with the overpowering oil and vinegar dressing on it. (Definitely not an authentic Greek salad no olives no cucumbers and one tiny cube of Feta) I definitely would not recommend this restaurant as it is overpriced and underwhelming. While I'd advise you to slip staying in the hotel where this restaurant sits, the restaurant itself (and the other one downstairs, fleeting) were bright spots in an otherwise lackluster hotel stay. The food is well done, with a Mediterranean influnce. We enjoyed the shakshuka (highly reco you add the kefta and ask for oven bread instead of the sourdough) and the Turkish eggs (also reco asking for the oven bread with this one), both dishes were flavorful and well executed (and we try shakshuka everywhere we see it!)
