I've been to Savannah three or four times now, and somehow I had never tried this place, even though it's such a staple! I'm so glad I finally got to try it on this trip. We had a group of about 14 girls on a bachelorette trip, and we showed up around 11:00 AM. There was about an hour wait, so we went and walked around for a little bit while we waited. Once we finally got seated, though, our server took care of all 14 of us SO efficiently. He was absolutely running around doing his best! Getting everyone's drinks, taking all of our food orders, and making sure everyone was taken care of. The food came out pretty quickly considering the size of our group, and he was even able to split up all of our checks for us. Overall, the service was amazing. He was great! The vibes inside were really cool, too. We were seated in a corner area where we could see people coming in and out and watch everyone walking by outside the window. There was also another bachelorette group sitting near us, so it made the whole experience even more fun. And then there was my food... SO GOOD. I got the chicken sandwich, and it was HUGE. I honestly don't even think my picture does justice to how much food comes with it. Surprisingly, the fries were really good, too. But the chicken was what really impressed me. Sometimes when you order grilled chicken, it can be super dry, but this chicken was SO tender and juicy. There wasn't a single tough or dry spot. I was full after eating half of the sandwich, but I almost ate the entire thing because I genuinely could not stop eating it! I will absolutely be back here the next time I'm in Savannah! read more

Little Duck Diner did not disappoint! After striking out on a previous visit because of the long wait, we were happy to get seated after only about 30 minutes this time. They text you when your table is ready, making the wait easy. The vibe is fun with R&B music, and I loved the adorable little rubber duckies in the drinks. My husband and I started with Prosecco, and I ordered the Flap Crab omelette...easily one of the best omelettes I've ever had. It was packed with crab and perfectly seasoned. The home fries were a little too crispy for my taste, but everything else was fantastic. My husband enjoyed the Little Duck in Paris, and our daughter gave the grilled cheese her seal of approval, calling it "bustin." So plan on at least a 45 minute wait unless you get lucky and have seats at the bar and get to watch them cook in the kitchen. We had a large group for a bachelorette trip and the Little Duck Diner took care of us for brunch! We walked in for a table and we were told there would be a 45 minute to an hour long wait but luckily it ended up being a lot faster than that! We all ordered drinks and enjoyed them. From the bubble bath drink to Pinot Grigio, they were all delish! I had the grilled cheese but added bacon and tomato and oh my it was good!! It came with fries that were so crispy and had almost like a Cajun seasoning on them which was a nice touch. I myself have been to Little Duck Diner several times. However, this was my mom and grandson's first time going. I decided on the salmon avocado salad. Which was delicious! Mom decided to go with a breakfast option. She really enjoyed it. However her favorite thing was the sweet tea. My grandson's favorite thing was getting a cup of water with a cute little duck in it. We were able to score a seating outside. It was a too beautiful of a day to sit inside. We tried the fried risotto as a starter. I have to say these were the best we have ever had. I'm gluten free and was concerned about eating them. They were so lightly breaded that it didn't bother my stomach. They were so good! The Flap Crab was tasty but as I was eating it, it became too crabby. I think if it had lump crabmeat it would have been better. I still would recommend this restaurant. Cute place and within walking distance (1 mile) from our hotel. It was on the corner of a block so we found it easily with the neons in the window. We arrived for brunch as a family and kept it simple with a Classic Grilled Cheese & the Duck Grilled Cheese. The Duck Grilled cheese was a little on the wet side but I guess that's expected with a juicy Duck. The bread just couldn't hold up to the task. Super cute restaurant, but long/unpredictable wait times for brunch on the weekend. My party of three was quoted well over an hour, so we decided to walk around the area. We were a decent walk away when a table opened up about 30 minutes later -- we rushed back but missed our window. Thankfully, the hostess put us next on the list, but all the stress was unnecessary. I ordered one of their sandwiches and upgradfed to their summer tomato soup, which I highly recommend. This is the spot that everyone told us to visit on our trip to Savannah, and for good reason! We actually tried to go Saturday but the wait was too long so we came back earlier on Sunday to get a table. If you're not going early for weekend breakfast, be prepared to wait. As one of the city's most popular breakfast spots, it was very crowded and loud in a way that I would describe as more tight and busy than lively. The interior is very Instagrammable, and they serve cage-free eggs, but I was grossed out to see duck on the menu, I thought "duck" was just a cute diner name. The avocado toast with goat cheese was good. The mirrors next to the tables are handy for checking if you've got anything on your face. They charge 3% for using a credit card, which was surprising since they use Resy for reservations. Unlike other restaurants in Savannah, the server didn't swipe my card at the table with a handheld device, so I didn't feel comfortable giving him my debit card. It feels like this fee is just being passed back to customers rather than being absorbed as a normal cost of doing business. Service was unprofessional. My server Trey S. didn't remove the menu after I ordered. When my food was delivered, the woman knew it was my table (I dined alone) but still asked if it was my order - talking over my plate. Then, when the server brought the bill, it was placed on top of the menu. It felt like he wasn't paying attention to the guest experience, and I reflected that in my tip because the service left me a bit disappointed. When we walked in it was busy, but we were able to snag a high-top counter area. Shay was our server and he was attentive, friendly, and kept us taken care of the whole time. I ended up going with the Maxwell, which is a breakfast sandwich, and it was huge and absolutely delicious. Service was good and the feel in the restaurant is nice although a bit cramped and tight. Food was excellent. We were recommended this restaurant by our trolley driver. It was very convenient to a lot of the tourist destinations like the prohibition museum. The chicken bowl was a refreshing meal in the middle of a lot of southern heavy dishes on this trip. Well we saw the reviews and had to check it out for ourselves. And wow... this place did NOT disappoint! I love the atmosphere- mirrors make it look so huge but it's nice and comfy. The people there are really nice and helpful. Our server was the BOMB!! Thank you for that!! The food is fresh, amazingly tasty, and perfect. I had the egg and cheese (and sausage) croissant with a side of eggs. I realized afterwards that I should have gotten the AMAZINGLY HUGE pancakes that one of the people in my party got. For our first meal in Savannah (arrived late at night the previous day), we could resist the temptation of a hearty Southern breakfast. As this was located right next to the Andaz (where we were staying) this was also supremely convenient. When we arrived, there was a little bit of a wait to eat indoors, so we opted to eat in the outdoor patio. While it was quite balmy outside, we didn't mind the slight breeze we got. We ordered the following items: 1) Iced Coffee: This wasn't on the menu, but we got it iced per our request. It was a pretty good coffee (La Colombe, I think). 2) The Maxwell: This was my breakfast. This was absolutely tasty. The cheddar cheese was a great addition. I loved how the sriracha mayo complemented the caramelized onions and chives. The bun was great too. Was a tad bit oily, so I opted for the fork and knife approach, which was a smart decision. 3) The Biscuit Sandwich w/o Sausage: This was my girl's first foray into Southern food on this trip. The biscuit was amazing. Nice and fluffy. Great decision. We wrapped this all up by buying a signature duck. Couldn't say no. This was a phenomenal place for a nice casual dinner with our group of friends!! It was the last day of our trip the food was SUPER delicious!! I will say, it took a while for us to get a hold of someone in order to make the reservation as there were 13 of us, but once we spoke with someone it was super easy! I wish the chicken was breaded differently, maybe in a wet batter then fried rather than whatever they had going on. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious too, not overly sour. The kimchi salad is literally just kimchi on a lettuce mix but the kimchi was surprisingly good! My friend loved her duck tacos. We also split the lemon cake which was tasty as well. I got notes of artificial lemon more than real lemon but it didn't make the cake any less tasty. Our server was also very kind! He was quick to get us anything we asked for. I stopped by Little Duck Diner for breakfast on our last morning in Savannah. Operated by the Rhino Hospitality Group and having visited two of their other locations this weekend, Chive and Peacock Lounge, I knew we were in for quality food and good service. We arrived within 10 minutes of opening on a Sunday morning and only 1 other table was seated. Our waiter Jack came over and offered coffee, water, and help with the menu. I ordered a coffee with almond milk, and my husband just a glass of regular milk. Our glasses were refreshed throughout our time there. I ordered the Maxwell sandwich on a biscuit instead of a brioche bun. The egg wasn't soft scrambled and there weren't any chives, but the scrambled eggs were plentiful and cooked on a flatop so they were uniformly piled onto my biscuit. The American cheese was too much though and I removed it from my sandwich all together. Otherwise the lightly caramelized onions were a nice twist and the sandwich was eaten with a fork and knife due to the size. The ambiance there was nice, with quiet music, bright paint and large paneled mirror surrounding the front dining room. I liked the restaurant and it was a much better breakfast than the one we had the day before. I'd try somewhere else next time to expand our horizons but it was a good breakfast and not an egregious price either. read more
