Sweet, kind and honest older Korean couple running the shop. I have been coming here for years. Their prices are MORE than reasonable. The owners are very kind, considerate and give great service. They never hassle you about picking up by a certain time. They will try to expedite if needed. The wife does some alterations as well. Parking lot there is free and easy to get into. I drop off my suits all the time because I'm constantly sweating in court. And the owner is so sweet... he never says a word about my sweat stains and gets rid of them for me I highly recommend coming to support this small business! read more

I once lost clothes at this laundromat. It wasn't an expensive piece of clothing, but I loved it because it fit my body perfectly, but I ended up swapping it for someone else's clothes. I told the boss, but he denied it until the end, saying he never made a mistake. I spoke three times, but the answer was the same. The other person's clothes that were changed were luxury clothes. I wanted to find my clothes, but the boss was a person who couldn't communicate at all, and in the end, I couldn't find my clothes and gave the designer clothes I got by mistake to someone else. After that happened, I never go here again. I don't go even if it's the closest place to my house. read more

I had a velvet outfit that had fallen on my closet floor where the cats slept. I brought it here when another cleaner said it was too much work. They made it like new. I have since brought two dresses for alterations. The warm greeting and willingness to understand what I want with a great attitude makes this my go to place. Simply TERRIBLE service. I went there to have my dress shirt to get cleaned/pressed for an important meeting. The owner gave me another customer's shirt! Which was too small btw.I told him about it, he said I already wore it! I needed a shirt for the appointment. But his answer was "I already wore it "And that was that! No compensation/refund. I'm shocked this spot doesn't have more reviews! I've been coming here for years. It's run by the kindest couple and they always do great work at great prices. I just found out they're an eco-friendly green dry cleaner who uses the GreenEarth method so that's even better! The parking situation is awkward as others have mentioned (there's not much room to turn around and the entrance is the exit) but I've always gotten parking right at their door so it's not an issue. read more

Dishonest people and terrrible service.... Brought in about 15 items including a sweater which obviously needed proper care ... Picked them all up and went home... Once I took my clothes out realized they have completely RUINED my sweater and DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO TELL ME... Went back just to give the owner a chance. He tells me "this was old material"... Informed him no, this was worn 3 times total.... then he tells me "It happens sometimes with this material"... NO sir, NO! It happens when you are careless and just throw in everything without checking the material first. Why would people bring YOU their clothing if they could just " throw it " in the machine themselves???? and to top it off, you don't even bother letting me know and you take the money and send me home ?????????? "I forgot" is NOT the proper answer, which is what he told me. What kind of DISHONEST person does that? This is not OK in any circumstance... Take your business elsewhere. I even gave him a chance to explain the situation before I wrote this and it is such a shame that he still did not get it. Treat people as you want to be treated. It really is not that hard... I started going to this dry cleaners after moving to ktown because it was the closest, but now I go for the customer service. The owners are really really nice, always smiling, and make an effort to remember your name. The entrance is in the parking lot in the back (the parking lot sucks). I mostly go to get my shirts pressed for work so I can't tell you too much about pricing. I think they generally ask for a few days but a lot of times the owner has worked around my schedule as a courtesy. Seriously the best customer service. If you live in the same area you should be going here. Even if I moved a little farther away I'd still go here. read more

My local dry cleaner. Great location, only a few blocks away from my place so I usually take Otto with me to pick up my clothes...kills two birds with one stone. It's a pain in the ass picking up dog poo while holding the leash with one hand and carrying dry cleaning with the other...but I'm getting better at it. I used to speak Korean to the owners (an older married couple) but after a couple visits, they both just started speaking to me in English. Maybe because they got the feeling that I'm more comfortable speaking English, or maybe they just got sick of me butchering my own language. Either way, it's better for the both of us. Great customer service, they're really nice and the clothes are always ready when it's pick up time (which is usually a day or two, depending on how busy they are). And if your shirt is missing a button? No problem! They'll sew a new one on, no charge! read more

There was a Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul story from a long time ago that said something about how when a family moves, one of the things that terrifies a mother is finding an excellent dry cleaner/tailor and nanny in the new neighborhood. I totally understand that mother's fear. It's hard to trust your clothes -- especially professional ones that you may have emptied your bank account for -- with someone who may not hem properly or does not know how to dry clean properly. Olympic Cleaners is the answer to my search in Koreatown. After living in LA for the past five years and Koreatown for the past two, I can't trust my clothes to anyone other than Olympic Cleaners. I came here on the recommendation of an Angeleno who has been coming here forever. Great service, and they are open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday! Perfect for the working professional's schedule. Warning - the only downside to Olympic Cleaners is their rather odd parking lot situation. There is no exit, but it's one way only. I have yet to have an issue backing out of the parking lot onto Crenshaw, but for those who'd rather not risk getting hit on Crenshaw/Olympic, there is plenty of street parking on Olympic before Crenshaw. read more

Been bringing my work clothes here for years now, not sure why it took me so long to get around writing this review. The couple that owns this place is super friendly and always very smiley when I come in. Standard cleaning takes about 2 days for the amount of clothes I generally bring in (4-5 shirts and 2-3 pants), excluding Sunday, but I have asked them to rush a cleaning before as I was completely out of clean clothes and they were able to get it to me the next day with no extra fees. I don't know if they usually charge for the rush service, I didn't ask, but they didn't charge me. The rates are very reasonable, I usually pay around $20 for the amount I listed above. The quality of the cleaning is good and no weird chemical smells lingering on the clothes, which is a problem I seem to have quite often with dry cleaners. The clothes I get back always smell fresh and clean. Not sure of the actual business hours, but they are open Monday-Saturday. I have been there as early as 8am and as late as 6pm, Saturdays too, so perfect for people who work regular hours. The only downside is that the parking lot is kind of a pain to get in and out of, especially if someone is trying to get out when you are trying to go in. Not the biggest deal, especially if you are used to tight and narrow LA parking lots, but worth noting. read more

I just relocated to Arizona, but I have been a long time customer of Olympic Cleaners (10+ years). This is a great family run dry cleaners. They always did a great job, and never a broken button. By wife always enjoyed getting her new jeans hemmed here as well. Located at the northeast corner of Olympic Blvd and Crenshaw, so it is really handy if you work in Mid-Wilshire, or if you do the Westside to Downtown commute and you can stop along the way while taking Olympic Blvd. read more
